@@WFO. Unfortunately you will need all the luck in the world to get an allocation for a Touring unless they class you as a very “special” customer and previous serial buyer.
Heavy cross examination to discover that somebody who buys a new 911 wants all the neighbours to know what they bought!! That’s the miracle, the engineers pack in heaps of improvements but it’s still my granddads 911.
I rented a .1c2s from our local dealer in anticipation of ordering a .2c. The 450hp in c2s seemed about perfectly balanced for the car, I’m curious how the 60hp less in .2c feels or whether Porsche is sand bagging given it is same mechanically. I know we all assume the cluster is cost cutting, but putting nav on left of rev counter was totally useless as the wheel blocked the position indicator on the map. Given we’re heading into an all hybrid/ev 911 range, it’s made the base Carrera even more appealing. I might wait to see what else gets released over next couple months, but leaning towards a c2 rwd with no chassis options other than lift for a more pure driving experience - I’m also limited by need to have rear seats and top tethers with a toddler
Yes you are right...on the .1 the digital displays either side of the rev counter are often blocked by the steering wheel depending on your driving position. Sounds like a nearly new .1c2s might suit you better if you are not interested in hybrid (and save £30k)? In our experience axle lift is very rarely needed. The clearance is good - unless you’ve got an extremely steep driveway
The price bumps Porsche has been doing really kills the worth it factor. It's great but is it x2 the fun of a M3? Or even 50% more? If you're tracking you're getting a gt3 or modding the heck out of the M3 anyways
@@anotheran since when is a 911 a sensible value car. The Porsche company just want to keep it out of reach of hairdressers and people who have to borrow money to own one. They do very careful market research before setting their prices, to keep it aspirational.
I like the new front. In our country we have smaller number plates 😅. I own a 992.1 and already the testdrove the new one. The base is essentially the same car. I did notice though that the turbos actually have little mor lag, almost like the 992.1 Carrera S, which is not positiv. Maybe this is due to the larger turbos. It engine sounds better on the predecessor. I don‘t care much about the new cabin details and the digital dashboard but I think it makes the car more generic and less special. I don‘t like the policy of Porsche to save some cents that way in such an expensive car. Long story short: I prefer the 992.1.
130K plus for a basic 911 with options. That's a lot of money. I wonder how much S or 4S will be when it comes out. There's a brand new 992.1 S4 for 120K from Porsche UK dealer. Better buy than the new 992.2 for sure
I do believe I’ll hang onto my 2023 992.1……an absolutely brilliant car and I think it may be the absolute pinnacle of the 911’s historic life. Electric add-on’s are slowly creeping into the design……and the blood-letting of the pure fire breathing boxer engines has begun. How sad. 😢
I have been in the market for two years. I had to decide to buy or wait. I am glad I waited the new digital gauge cluster allows me to see more of the gauges than the outgoing model, I can’t tell if its faster as I only have 400 miles on the base model. The starter doesn’t mater to me as it’s something I interact with for a moment. I do like the upgraded headlamps. I bought in hopes of owning one of the last pure Porsches that doesn’t have any electric or hybrid technology, that’s what my Teslas for. Bose system sounds good, rides wonderful on base wheels. PDK is amazing.
@@warfordcars Well, I must admit that I just bought the 2025 Porsche Taycan for $140k, but they are definitely overpriced. I had Tesla Model S before this. Aston Martin Vantage is another of my favorites.
@@warfordcars I don't know anyone who has bought an EV through a business for tax purposes because if we buy an new EV as individuals, we get a $7,500 tax cut anyway---IF the EV was manufactured in the U.S. This is another reason that Porsche is more expensive; we don't get the tax cut. Tesla owners and others do.

There would have to be a drastic swing in consumer demands for the non sunroof cars to be worth more. As it stands its one of the most sought after options (excluding pre 997 models)
All of a sudden the 992.1 seems like great value😂
Honestly it’s a great time to buy a 911 992.1. You can get so much for your money

I think the 992.1 is a better buy. Analogue dash, no intrusive nannying software to be disabled every single time.
Yeah I agree, especially seeing the price you can pick up a decent 992.1 for now
Forcing keyless entry and an all digital dash is a very bad move for Porsche.
I think the new lights are sick, still very good review!
Yeah I’d say they’re the biggest upgrade, more refined 👌

Hey Warford, no sense in acting like a blooming jerk, the dealership won’t show you the GTS, which is the t-hybrid because they do not have one.
