458 hands down and I don’t even like that car that much. The 296 just doesn’t look right, won’t buy it for me any amount of money or performance gains.

I've owned a 458 and it feels really dated to drive now. 100% i'd have the 296GTB

I’ve owned both, the 296GTB is one of the greatest driving Ferraris ever. I know to many who haven’t driven one that it may sound ludicrous that a hybrid V6 Ferrari could be that amazing ……but it honestly is

I kept going back and forth about upgrading my amazing Gen 2 Macan to an EV. After all that deliberation, it turns out I’m not gay.

I have Racetex...whilst it looks and feels great, it's a pain the @rse and you need to keep on top of it or it gets really sticky and horrible to touch if you don't. My only regret speccing my Taycan.

The previous version of the Taycan was an utter disaster with terrible reliability and battery defects.

EV batteries are 95% recyclable, the grid is powered more and more by renewables, so the whole "EV pollution" thing is nonsense.

I don't like this new trend of putting the headlights lower. I can see snow accumulating in these locations and impending visibility like the cyber truck.

If those 4 things are the worst things about it then I will be truly happ when I get miney. The assisatnce systems are a pain but that is the EU requirement (and UK) and they can't be turned off permanently by law. This applies to all new cars not just Macan. Seat belt is easily soled, Either do it up despite no one in car or buy a £5 leather colar from Ali Express with Porche logo which sorts it. I can see key is a pain if you are used to old one but not if you are newby like me. Also surely comfort access will solve the problem? Really like the video and was looking forward to seeing the Macan on that track.. However it clearly did what I want well enough - rough tracks, muddy fieds and a few steep bits.

Aritificial leather is more durable. I specced my Macan with thermal/acoustic glass all around and it is not available with a rear wiper.

You can add power steer plus at the dealership . It’s a software change the dealer can get from Porsche. Cost is around $300. Why was your salesman not there on the front end to avoid mistakes?

Most of your annoyances with the Macanese are shared with the Audi Etron ( apart from bonnet). I switch the lane assist off mostly

130K plus for a basic 911 with options. That's a lot of money. I wonder how much S or 4S will be when it comes out. There's a brand new 992.1 S4 for 120K from Porsche UK dealer. Better buy than the new 992.2 for sure

Agree with everything besides the air suspension. Have had 3 macans, 2x without and 1x with and not only was there minimal ride comfort difference but it was plagued with issues which required continuous warranty jobs

Hi. General rule I would say if it's a base Porsche model, standard leather and no sports chronos is fine. Now once you get to GTS or higher trims, most people will avoid buying second hand if it's missing extended leather and sports chronos package. But that is a problem for the dealer selling the car. I wouldn't worry about it at this point. Just enjoy what you have! I am waiting to trade my turbo for a Macan 4S in 2 years timeframe unless the turbo variant used is low enough then I would get that instead. I look forward to seeing more videos on the Macan EV as you're right, it's difficult to see computer photo to reality.

Thank you for the nice review. We recently traded a Taycan with black standard seats for a new Taycan with extended leather in black/chaulk. The non-leather black is the most forgiving of the standard colors and it still looks good IMO. I notice that you don't have ventilated seats. That is a must have for me (not on our earlier Taycan) and I now enjoy them every day. My local dealer has a jet black/ black leather with spyder wheels on display. I must say, you have the hottest color combo I've liked and subscribed..
