Seeing the cameraman's reaction to the GT3 RS was so wholesome. Mat is so used to the experience so when you see him drive it, you can tell he's happy but he's not overwhelmed with joy whereas when you see someone who doest get the opportunity to drive these crazy cars on a regular basis get a go he is struggling to contain the excitement and the kid in him is just going crazy. So beautiful to see.

I think your review is spot on. I have been fortunate in owning a couple 911s over the years, and for the price, there is no better 911 than the 911 T. Just a pure driver's car.
Mines on the way and I think the same, although my dealer laughed at me when I mentioned the GT3T list…says a Turbo (Non S) is the most likely opportunity next.
Might be worth mentioning that 911 T when put on Dyno mine is 410 up from 385, and for those obsessed with 0-60 time in dry the PDK will dip under 4secs..amazing car
I added the magnetic paddles from the RS to my 2024 GT3 - paddles were $750 plus $200 to have them installed. A lot less expensive than the Wessach package for $29,000.
Damn I thought they came standard. I sat in both and clicked the paddles. Best paddle shifters ever, I'm jealous. I've got plastic so those felt divine.
My favorite color on 992 Carrera, S, 4S, Turbo and Turbo S. My 21 992 4S is in Aventurine Green Metalic, I absolutely love the color, color shifting green to grey depending upon the lighting conditions.
100 percent agree. That is why I owned a 991 Turbo S for five years. Daily drove it. Tracked it at Circuit of the Americas. Took it to the drag strip and on cross country road rallies. Had winter tires and drove it in the snow and it performed great. There was nothing it did not do well.

Sent the carrera t to es motor uk for es700 package.... sent the turbo s for the es900 package.... sent the Dakar to upgrade the exhaust.... but i maintain the gt3 rs std except for exhaust system upgrade to the gt3 race car exhaust....
This was a Christmas treat. I can't get enough of Porsche videos and this has definitely delivered. When people ask me why men love cars so much - I'll show them Matt in the Dakar/GT3RS.
For me I think the Turbo S would be my first choice though I do love a manual gear box. It just has the looks, the proformance, Beautiful interior. Hits on everything.
I got a T a few weeks ago to replace my Taycan. PDK, rear seats in, what a fantastic daily driver! I was a bit concerned that every review I've seen to date says the T is everything you need, it's the same message from everyone. But it really is everything you need!
@@RR-ht9db tbh, not really. The acceleration is obviously different, but it's more emotional in the 911, it's not clinical like the Taycan. And I really missed that and I'm glad to have it back. TBH though, my 2023 Macan GTS is probably my favourite car I've owned. Do everything, fast, sounds incredible.

The RS is a weapon. You just know Porsche is working on a GT2 RS that will be a bonkers, track record setter. All my life I've lusted after the Turbo S, for me, nothing's changed.
This video is the perfect gift for Christmas . 4 dream cars in the ALPS . The GT 3 RS is still the best but i can't imagine to use it every day . I would be happy with a CARRERA GTS and the good options (4 wheels drive, Chassis sport, a full leather seat with 18 settings and more) I am too old for the full carbon seats. Thank you MAT.
Turbo S it is the ultimate driving machine, period (It's ever been BTW) but... the 911T it's the right "everyday sportcar" with just the things that you really need from basic commuting to some fun driving.

I’m really happy in a manual 911T with no back seats (Rubystone Neo 💓 ) and sport classic wheels. The others all cost too much, so I think I shall agree with Matt’s T conclusions 😊
Friend of mine lent me his 992.1 T and I agree with you; under a GT3, it's the most engaging Porsche I've driven off a circuit. Something about the whole package of the tuning and rear steer make it feel much smaller and agile than it is. As a result of the test drive, I bought a 991.2 T myself and coming from an Exige and an S2000 I am shocked to find a Porsche (that's not a GT car) so engaging, flowing, and rich with feedback.
All great cars. My 996 is the practically the same power and torque as the 'T'. Absolutely no contest around a track but would be interesting to see the straight line performance comparison between NA and forced induction

It’s a shame that the 992 GTS, which many top motoring journalists consider to be the sweet spot of the 911, and Porsche themselves kind of market as the best all round 911 is not in this test. As it has almost Turbo level straight line performance and can do a bit of the GT3 stuff on track too. Perfect for road trips and love mine.
Yes, one of the special features about the T is there are some of the fittings from GT3. Im driving 991.2 carrera t. And its engine mount is stiff from GT3. Spoiler is from GT3 and it swing higher than normal S or GTS.
Obviously a 992 GT3 with comfort seats or 992 GT3 touring is the best. Turbo S if you are of age and need that quietness and comfort. But for enjoyment a 992 GT3 is incomparable.
Best mod I've done to my base 981 Cayman is adding the GT3 PDK shift knob. I manually row through the gears almost everywhere I go and just adds that much more tactility and involvement to the drive. I hope we can upgrade to magnetic paddles somewhere in the future ;-) Just passed 75,000 miles and drive it every day!

The 911 GT3 RS isn't just holding its value, here in the states you're lucky to find one with the Weissach package for under $500K now; which is totally wild.
It's not wild, it's idiotic. But look at what is going on. The party is over and prices will drop. Also, there's a difference between at what price they sell and at what price they sit and look valuable. I doubt many would actually pay 500k for an RS.

The 911 GT3 RS isn't just holding its value, here in the states you're lucky to find one with the Weissach package for under $500K now; which is totally wild.
It's not wild, it's idiotic.
But look at what is going on. The party is over and prices will drop. Also, there's a difference between at what price they sell and at what price they sit and look valuable. I doubt many would actually pay 500k for an RS.
