- In my effort to find better budget chairs, I'm testing out this super popular Amazon chair brand, SIHOO. This is the SIHOO Ergonomic Office Chair...not to be confused with all the other SIHOO Ergonomic Office Chairs (lol). For $319, the seat on this chair is incredible, but it has some drawbacks too. We actually name each chair according to the model number of the chair, you can check for example M18, Doro C300, M57 and so on. Hope will be helpful for you!
@@SihooChair that may be true, but they are not clearly labelled on Amazon for example. You have 3 or 4 chairs listed under the same name but with different prices and reviews

Your chair reviews are the best! Would love to see you do a review of the Merryfair Wau/Storm MK2/HJH office Spektre/Pursuit by uplift and so on. They're all the same rebranded chair with a few minor differences. They vary in price and can only be bought online. Because of that I'm really sceptical of buying one myself. Really interested in seeing the overal quality/durability of this chair.
I’ll put it on my list! Uplift said they don’t work with anyone with under 150k subs lol. I was like k dude.
Tomorrow I'm going to try it personally. Here in Italy is sold with another name (Wow by Mael) and it's even more pricier (around 850 euros). But I wanted to try it because it's the only chair I could try here, as it's impossible to find the Haworth Fern or the Humanscale Freedom.
I think that the armrest can be installed the other way around so that it can be a bit more forward.
So I thought I might have reversed it...but if I do reverse it, then the vertical arm adjustment is MUCH harder to use...damn.

Can you make a video about the products from Gt chair, especially the 2022 Marrit X line with the 5D arm rest? Given its price point, I think it would be a perfect fit for most people (including myself) budget.

Hey Dan, I've watched a lot of ur content - subscribed, of course, good stuff!
But I'm still debating which chair to get.... hoping I could get some expertise from you, especially since our body "dimensions" are quite similar.
Just some context, I used to sit on a Mirra 2 but not a big fan of the mesh & hard plastic seat lip - gave my hamstring a hard time...
Now I have an Embody, overall I'm satisfied. The only major complaint is the armrest... it doesn't go back & forth and would not allow me to really "tuck" my body under the desk. A pair of thick armrest pads fixed the issue.
Now I need an additional chair for my home office. I know I could get another embody but wants to try out different things if possible.
Given ur experience + the context provided, what would you say would be the best pick?
Embody, Leap V2, Gesture, or something else?
So I’m hearing a LOT of complains about the steelcase chairs that I just haven’t heard about the HM chairs - that their seat gets rock hard after a while (some say due to poor cushion quality, others say it just flattened after a little). I personally have 2 embodies (but my wife stole one…lol, but that’s ok since I’m usually sitting on the chairs I’m testing out anyway). Nothing else has fit me quite as well as the embody except for the aeron but I know you don’t like mesh. Hope this helps! Whatever you decide, please consider using my links. Helps a LOT!!!

5:03 Yeah the armrest was installed incorrectly it should be more forward base on the picture. I've done it on M57 also. Easy mistake.

I appreciate the budget chair reviews as the expensive Herman Miller, Steelcase etc chairs are simply not economically possible for a lot of people, myself included. After a lot of research of my own, I finally decided to purchase a WorkPro Quantum 9000 at my local Office Depot OfficeMax store for $400. So far the only thing I don't like is the overly aggressive lumbar support. Time will tell if I made the right investment or not.
I am a fan of the aggressive lumbar. I experience back pain when the lumbar isn't supportive enough! But goes to show everyone is different! I hope it works out!!
i was at office depot the other day and it really like the lumbar support of the chair. The only thing that was a deal breaker for me was that the arm rests couldnt go low enough and are to close together. Which is a problem cause when i play games i dont like my arms on armrest. Thinking of getting the workpro 1000 cause it felt pretty good but not sure yet.
@@theelusivememe1772 I got the Workpro 1000. It's a dream when the bottom mesh hasn't sagged out. I seem to fall into the less lumbar support, the better, camp. I'm a good 3-4 years in and I have to give up on using it because after 20 minutes it sags a bit more and makes it uncomfortable for my tailbone. I also tried a chair pad. While that helped my bottom, it made my back situation horrible because the back isn't height adjustable. So it's about at the 2 year mark where I couldn't take sitting in it for more than an hour or two. Also I had to get one armrest replaced under warranty after the screw snapped along with a replacement chair to replace the worn mesh. Definitely better than 90% of Staple's offerings in my opinion between build quality and comfort. I'm just sadly looking for another chair. I am 6'2" and I varied 200-230 pounds in the last few years. I've read about people shoving upholstery foam under the mesh to make the cheaper mesh chairs comfortable again. Personally I'm not going to go that route. I rather replace it
@@MrMega200 well im only 5'9" 150 pounds so it might last longer for me. Thanks for the input, honeslty tho, i think i might just get a steelcase series 2, seems to have everything i need for like 600 bucks. still expensive but seems like the best mid tier option too me.

Yeah I've been researching everything Sihoo since I heard the M57 is the best bang for buck chair. I've been needing a replacement since my current chair have been causing me lower back pain. Anyway can't wait for pt. 2.
@@Ahnestly You should also review the Sihoo V1. It's a little higher up their model range at $350 but it's got a v-shaped lumbar pillow so your lower back is still supported even if you set the lumbar pillow higher up your back. Their flagships are the M25 @ $500 and the A7 @ $1000.
Looking for reviewing a good budget option for a future vid? Check out the Clatina Mellet (aka High Swivel Ergonomic Chair). I've had this thing for a bit over half a year now, and it's held up exceptionally well with a high quality and VERY weighty build, no squeaks, rattles, and has lots of the proper adjustments needed for good ergonomics. It's basically a knockoff of the Steelcase Leap. I'm still shocked it costs under $250US.

They updgraded the headrest so it's adjustable (available on Amazon), just bought one to replace my generic gaming chair as it's starting to hurt my back.

Not sure what makes a chair good or bad for gaming! It really depends on how you sit. If you dont like the armrests, you can remove them!
The term “gaming chairs” were always for the flashiness of the chairs and marketing in my opinion. These chairs are designed to help support your back long term
May sound weird. But j found several chairs that are the exact same. The photos etc. But from sihoo it is for example 300 and somewhere else it is 250? Maybe is sihoo not a real chair maker and they are just dropshippers?!?!

Super dense seat. I’m not too worried about it. I was more worried about steelcase’s seats where I felt I could feel the bottom and seems like people are confirming this is the case

@@Ahnestly Thanks for the reply. I actually decided to buy a Secretlab Titan Evo 2022, but I'm not exactly too happy on the armrest wiggle and the overall wiggle of the seat itself even in the locked position though.
