SIHOO Doro C300 Office Chair - our honest review

  • We got this chair from SIHOO recently to review and we didn't know what to expect. After receiving the chair the company asked us not to include the price (which made no sense to us) and that they wanted to approve the video before it went live. This is the problem facing consumers now reading 'reviews' on youtube - with such a barrage of influencers taking products for free and getting percentages of sales - you never know if you are getting an honest review. Would you say something wasn't good if you knew it would hurt your 10% 'affiliate link' of every sale in your description?
    We ignored them, and we publish our review today, and will send them the link at the same time as you see this video.
    Read our mantra on honest reviews here: bit.ly/3pXzaw4
    If you like the chair you can buy it from them here: bit.ly/3NormO8 - and no, we don't get any money from sales.

    its a pretty good looking chair - i like the honest review, makes me believe something when I see negative points as well as positive points. its like when im buying from amazon, I tend to focus on the 1 star reviews and see if their problems matter to me at all. Always trust the Kitguru reviews as you always mention issues and never really fixate on one point too much to cover the whole thing.

    Assuming you’re being honest i really appreciate the real review. It’s really hard to find an actual honest review now days on TH-cam. Even ones that sometimes say they are not. But yours seems genuine. I spent 2 weeks trying to find an un-sponsored review of a tactical flashlight i was trying to buy for my rifle and it simply didn’t exist. Every single video was sponsored and were all overly positive, while actual users on Reddit were more 50/50. So that being said i really appreciate your honest review. I’ll subscribe for that.

      Amongst other things the seat was very uncomfortable with the way I sit. But the worst part is the seat was so low!! I'm 180cm (5'11) and the highest setting was way too low for me. I sent it back. Still haven't found the right chair.
      It's not a bad chair, but absolutely not for me.

    I preordered this chair... I like that the Herman Miller Aeron was an inspiration for it.
    At first I didn't like the seat, it was really uncomfortable. But now, a month or so later I've gotten used to it and it's very comfortable to sit in for long periods of time.
    I love that the mesh is very breathable, the headrest is a nice addition and overall the build quality is very good for the price... so far at least.
    I love the dynamic support, the armrests are comfortable and the chair is really really comfortable when inclined.
    My only complaints are that the armrests are a bit too high by default, it was kind of a hassle to assemble them and it's a shame that the headrest and armrests don't click in place as well the fact that the chair only has 3 incline angles.
    Overall, 8/10.

    *HONEST AFTER-BUY REVIEW*
    I’m 5’11, 75 kgs. The chair it’s confortable, lumbar support is doing the job, I’m not getting any pain anymore and I work remote and sit almost 8 hours a day, maybe more if I’m playing too.
    The “problem” of this chair i consider to be the seat, because for me is at the limit , and would appreciate if it was bigger. It’s a bit small for me and is located too far back so the tendency is to slip sometimes.
    if it could be adjusted forward a few cms, the problem would have been solved.
    The headrest it’s ok, but it’s a bit odd to me because you can’t “fully” adjust the height.
    It’s very confortable inclined and the lumbar support is doing the job.
    At this moment I’m pleased with this chair but my advice if you want this chair and you are a tall person , maybe it’s not for you .
    The height and weight you should have I think it’s 180 cm and 80kgs max.

    Great review, i personally do not trust Influencers or Brand Ambassadorks when they either 1. Get paid cash to make a review or 2. Get to keep the product when the review is over as even the product is considered a method of payment, though many content creators argue this. However, if you have to return the product once you finish reviewing it, then i dont consider it a sponsored video. However to stay afloat and keep a channel alive people also need to understand that paid or free product sponsorship may be necessary to keep a channel running unless people are willing to do that patreon thing to support a channel But that's just my own opinion.

    The Sihoo chairs are comfortable but the ordering and customer service lacks a lot. I placed the order for this chair on January 28, on the sihoo website it says that their shipments usually take about 10 days. A few days later I received a message that there was no stock left (when making the purchase, it did not say that they were out of stock, so be careful when making purchases) and that they would send it to me at the beginning of March. I asked them for a refund, at least they were quick to give me the €10 shipping fee. Finally they told me that they would ship my order on February 20. It is February 22 and my order is still in "preparation status." Also the chat on their webpage doesn't work everytime I ask about my order so...The chair is probably good because I already tried another one from a friend and it is quite comfortable, but the shipping is terrible.

    Those click style adjustments are really awful I would never get a chair that uses them.
    I have seen them get forced beyond their normal bottom point during shipping before and you pretty much have to use a hammer to get them working again.
    And it's really easy for them to shift out of the position you want them in since there is no locking mechanism.

    Purchased one online but canceled my order shortly after. No immediate response from Sihoo except pressures to close my PayPal case and no refund yet. PayPal claim now ongoing. Very disappointed by this company unprofessional behaviour. They offer 'free 30 days return warranty' but it's a trap, the return must be done within 3 days after delivery and they must have acknowledged receipt of the Chair in brand new condition (any slightly used chair would not be accepted) by 30 days before you can hope for a refund. Any failure in one of these steps voids this 'warranty'. So you cannot really try it for 30 days.

    The lack of being able to change the recline level is not true. The chair stays in whichever recline position you are and doesn't push against you nor does it let go. You can also lock the position.

    I've ordered two of these mesh type chairs and both got returned due to either being horribly overpriced or the mesh being really uncomfortable.

    A chair is a chair. People don't need a different chair to sit in all day to use a computer for gaming or to use a computer for work.

      @historianfabulousio5128 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Actually thats not true. I have spine issues, and a chair is massively important for not only comfort but for my health. This theory sounds fun, but in reality you could say the same things about beds, mattresses, sofas etc. A lot of people would disagree.

    • @scarkillerful
      @scarkillerful 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @@historianfabulousio5128 think he's saying that dividing up chairs between gaming and ergonomic/office is pointless. What you do with the chair (gaming or working) shouldn't dictate what "type" of chair you buy. And you shouldn't buy two different chairs, one for the home office and one for the gaming rig. What should dictate the choice of chair is the comfort and features.
      I sort of agree with this view (if that is what he's sayingh). In my own opinion, go for what's most comfortable for you. That may be a gaming chair, or that may be an ergonomic chair. However ergonomic chairs (for obvious reasons) are usually the more comfortable ones.

      @@scarkillerful That *is* what I'm saying, a chair that makes it comfortable for you to sit for hours at a computer *is a chair that makes it comfortable for you to sit at a computer for hours* (whatever your special needs are for that chair) whether you are using excel or gaming is irrelevant, the images on the screen don't come in to the equation when buying a chair.
