it is impossible for human beings to be permanently happy. That is a fantasy that people chase and in so doing create more frustration and misery, and many people who sell it as an idea profit from financially. As Vinicius de Moraes the Brazilian poet wrote: “ happiness is like a feather flying in the air. It flies light, but not for very long.”

Sadness, disappointment, anger, sadness, fear, disgust, surprise, love, envy, boredom, shame, pride, loneliness, frustration are also emotions. Emotions that we have been ”built” to experience by evolution and are just as ”legitimate" in the human condition.
My only point was merely that perpetual happiness as this video appears to suggest is impossible. When people declare such absolutes I just get a little suspicious and sceptical. The reality of life is infinite shades of grey, not black and white.
Buddhist monks who have practiced mindfulness meditation for virtually all their adult lives as part of their cultural and religious tradition have committed and encouraged attrocities against ethnic minorities in Ceylon and Mayanmar. All the mindfulness in the world didn't help them ”control" their emotions.

🐈‍⬛When I’ve spent too much time indoors, I lose motivation to do necessary things & put them off until last minute, but when I do them, I have to FORCE myself. When this happens, my cat will want me to go outdoors with her, and I force myself to do it - but when I do, I feel so much better during & after. 🐈🐱🐈‍⬛

I would add when doing activities you time to time ask yourself "AM I AWARE?" so you get out of narrow focus and see things bigger picture. thoughts coming and going, sensations coming and going. No attaching only observing.

But observing is also observed..and adding while doing observation who is doing observation??? Find out the moment experience arise your attention goes toward experience everyone register experience and as u called ur self observer it becomes the observed experience because that which is shapeless, senseless how can u talked about, infact by practicing observation u should be looking from for which u r looking for means the truth of human life..ty

Instead of being too serious and driven toward our goals, roles, and ideas in search of meaning and fulfillment we should learn to smile more, let go a little and allow ourselves
to enjoy some happiness in our lives.
