Aw man. The redial pep talk on 7-72 (24:41) was left on the cutting room floor. That was a pivotal moment to preserve confidence and prevent horsing. Congrats, Dan! You earned it.

Your playthrough of this game got me back into it for real and I actually beat Tiamat for the first time just a few days ago because of it!
I always knew you could do it, Dan. The POGs have been out of this world. I have to admit, I'm going to miss spelunky content. Your videos taught me how to play spelunky, your video on the tutorial speedrun even showed me how to get that rare achievement. I appreciate the lessons, and after all this time, you deserve this dub.

I’m so glad Dan went back to Spelunky 2 and did this challenge because Spelunky 2 is what got me into his channel and I was kinda sad when he beat hun dun and never played it again until he started his 7-99 journey 2 years later

It wasn't a question of if, it was a matter of when.
I saw Roffy and I knew it was the one.
I watched the vod, albeit I slept through 40 levels. I missed a lot of this video while I was doing chores, but I couldn't at least hear Dan horsing around. I'm sure Dan will be immortalized in Spelunky 3 whenever Derek makes it, not just in the credits either.

I think he cheated. There's no way he beat the CO in a short amount of time. It used to take Twiggle hours to complete it, and he was considered one of the top best players in Spelunky 2.
