Will She Let Me Install a Lift Kit on Her Jeep Wrangler?

  • My wife has had her HellaYella 2 door Jeep Wrangler JL for over a year now and she loves daily driving it and exploring new destinations out on the trails. While the JKUR is very capable in stock form, I’ve always wanted to add just a little lift and slightly larger tires to it to give it just a bit more capability, but still maintain good daily driving manners. In this video, I try a little experiment to see if she’s willing to allow me to install 35” tires and a 2.5” lift kit… we’ll see! #jeepjl #jeepwrangler #jeep

I measured carefully before and after I added my 35" tires and MetalCloak 2.5" lift. At the driver door, my Jeep was 4.5" higher after the lift and tires. Different lift kits can give different amounts of lift despite them both being "2.5" lift" kits.

Hi Brad, I've been watching some of your videos for a few days and have really enjoyed them. I got pumped up enough that I went ahead and got a 2.5 lift with 35 tires. Since you've been doing this for awhile, what is your recommendation for bump steer, loose steering? I was excited when I saw my jeep with the lift and new tires; however, got turned off as soon as I hit the highway and went over 60. The steering was loose and a little bit of bump steer. Kind of freaked me out but I'm sure you've experienced this. Anyway, what are your thoughts, recommendations?
