      Most body lotion is completely fine for the face too. Dr. Dray, a dermatologist here on youtube, says in many of her videos that you should try your body lotion on your face and see if you like it. This could save some money if the body lotion works on your face.

      How many products do you really need? Im a man and only use cleanser, moisturiser and SPF you don’t need those 10 step programs that’s just cos Women love buying shit they don’t need.

    • @dahlia.quinn_blog
      @dahlia.quinn_blog 3 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      @@BigPoppaDinero if you're thinking that everything other than spf cleanser and moisturizer are useless then why are you even watching Hyram 😃
      Every products in all its form have different penetrate levels into the skin and they make so much different. If you need something that go deep down to your pores u should have toner essence or serum with the corresponding actives. If you need something to lock in moisture and prevent them to evaporate then that's when moisturizer come in handy. If you're using some kind of spf that's waterproof or hard to remove, chemical sunscreen... then a makeup remover would be needed if you don't want your pores to be trapped easily which cause multiple types of acnes. Of course every skins are different so don't say that people are buying things that they don't need cuz duh, you don't know what their skin really "need". I grow from the point that I only use spf cleanser and moisturizer to the point now that I have a fulfill skincare routine that every step I put my mind in finding out what's in there, what's the ingredient like and how can they help my skin... and tbh, my skin have been so much better than before. So don't say people are wasting money when they are obviously doing something at the higher level while you just aim for the basic steps. The standpoint are different so don't compare

      My husband uses shower gel to cleanse his face in the morning and then moisturizer with Aveeno body lotion and still has better skin than me. That seems to be the case with a lot of men and that’s why I don’t think my husband really “cares” for skincare. He also uses any old shampoo and conditioner on his CURLY hair and has better hair than me on the curly girl method. Nothing about life is fair.

    • @kaylan2083

      Most men don't use skincare because they don't have to. They don't have fluctuating hormones like women so acne and flare-ups aren't an issue. Most men with beards use beard balms/moisturizers. And most men that shave, use a sore of moisturizer. Shaving is exfoliation so it makes sense that they have smoother, clearer skin when they are exfoliating their skin more often.

    Brother, broski, hyram dude, I NEED YOUR HELP. here's the thing, i recently have done a little experiment with my skin where I just stop using my skincare products all together, because it seemed like no matter how big or small my routine was, I would still get breakouts and be left with hyperpigmentation. And i've found that not using anything on my skin has made a really big difference. I don't have as many breakouts anymore, and my hyperpigmentation is clearing up. HOWEVER, my skin is completely dry, but using moisturizer in the past just made me break out. I used the CeraVe moisturizer, I've used a few different ones, and it just seems like having a moisturized face makes it easier for my acne to grow. What should I do? because leaving my face alone has minimized my breakouts, but it's also leaving me with overly dry skin. Like I don't know what to do.

    I've been using Bulldogs oil control moisuriser for a while, but after looking at your channel I'm going to reach out into different products. I will say I have had good results with the oil control, and I typically have quite sentitive skin - weirldly Aveeno products dont agree with me at all!
    Anyways, you're a fantastic resource, thank you!

    Hi Hyram! I just wanted to know if there was an actual difference between male and female skin? Because I think you stated in your last video that there isn't an actual difference and it's just for marketing purposes, but I've heard other people say that male actually has 20% thicker skin than females, so I'm not really sure if I should be using Men's skin care products or not.

    • @t_ylr
      @t_ylr 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      So not an expert but I've heard that there are some differences. Men tend to have thicker skin and be more oily. I know hormones also make a difference, but as far as I know the chemicals in your skincare do the same things if you're male or female. Your skin type matters more than your sex.

    Hi Hyram, thank you so much for today.. I am not sure if you remember us at Ala Moana, but I really want to let you know that you just made my day.. I saw you sitting in the bench and thought I can't let this day pass by. I am sorry to bother you during your peaceful moment but I am so stoked seeing you. I hope to see you around someday and again.. ❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰

    Hey, I've recently gotten some skincare products from Walmart as part of some acting and modeling classes I've started taking. We had a skincare class last week and makeup is tomorrow. I was wondering if you could tell me if what I got was good and what advice you could give regarding affordable options.
    1. Clean & Clear Essentials Foaming Facial Cleanser (I use this first)
    2. Earth to Skin Honey Serum (After Cleanser)
    3. Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer SPF 15 (Last in the typical routine)
    4. Neutrogena Acne Face Wash Pink Grapefruit (With salicylic acid, only to be used once a week for exfoliation)
    5. Equate Acne Treatment Gel (For spot clearing pimples. I can't tell if it's actually working)
    6. Garnier SkinActive Miceller Water (For makeup removal after Neutrogena makeup wipes)
    7. Equate Anti-Puff Eye Roll On (For dark circles)
    Edit: I'm oily to combination.

      Oh god. Who made that list? Poor you. Most of those products are not the best out there for the price point, they’re outdated, some are too harsh to the skin and way too fragrant (may be a problem for sensitive skin). I would recommend watching Hyram’s video about what to buy if you’re new to skincare for men :)

    • @matthewscorner2990
      @matthewscorner2990 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MarianaF730 Thanks. Was ANY of what I said ok? Is anything on that list fine to use?

    • @MarianaF730
      @MarianaF730 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@matthewscorner2990 I’d say try them all, since you already bought them! See how your skin react to them. The micellar water is probably fine, there isn’t much there to do harm anyway. Neutrogena sunscreen, for example, I hate it, I find it too thick. But my mom likes it a lot. It’s very personal. I wouldn’t buy any of those products because there are better out there at the same price point, but since you already have them, give it a try.

    • @matthewscorner2990
      @matthewscorner2990 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MarianaF730 I've been trying the cleanser, serum, moisturizer, and acne cream for the past four days. My skin hasn't reacted badly to them, despite me having sensitive skin. I've noticed the serum and moisturizer leave my skin a bit tacky, but I dunno if that's just because I'm not used to using stuff on my face. And I genuinely have no clue if the acne cream is working. I have one pimple on my forehead and it's not leaving. I dunno how it's supposed to leave, I'm used to popping them. I also tried the pink grapefruit stuff last night (which I was skeptical about getting because of the grapefruit part, but I had few options because I was looking for chemical exfoliation ingredients I was recommended) and my skin felt pretty alright afterward. Not tacky, maybe a bit softer. I dunno how I'm supposed to feel with certain products, I have no experience with any type of skin care routine.

    • @MarianaF730
      @MarianaF730 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@matthewscorner2990 yeah, I don’t like that moisturizer. And that serum has oil in its ingredient list, it will probably feel tacky anyway. I’d say try to use them separately (moisturizer during the day, serum at night), but the tacky feeling doesn’t have to be “normal” if that bothers you. Many good products don’t feel like that. DONT POP THE PIMPLES, apply the Equate product on it twice a day after cleansing (morning and night), and the pimple is supposed to slowly “fade” after a few days (5? 7?). Avoid the serum with oil on the pimple area. I’d say avoid that Neutrogena moisturizer there too. Just wash and apply the Equate product. Finish with sunscreen to avoid dark spots. If there’s an absolute model/acting emergency and you have to get rid of the pimple, maybe ask the makeup guys if you can pop them (and apply the Equate product) or if it’s better to just leave it for them to conceal it with makeup.

    I used to sell JackBlack and swear by their deodorant. It leaves NO white marks on black clothing! I would frequently demo it by rubbing it on the back of my hand(you let it dry for a moment ~15 seconds), and then swiping it dramatically down my all black uniform. It. Never. Stained!!! NO WHITE MARKS

    I'm not sure what Duke Cannon's ad campaigns are like (Ik they're very "manly" but I've never seen an actual ad for them, so maybe they were one of the brands you avoided for that reason and if so just ignore this lol) but my bf only buys their products. It's the only reason he washes his face lol. If you could do a video on them it would be awesome! Ik they mostly do body products but I am so interested in if they are actually good quality or not. It's pretty affordable too
