you should make another 101 series for korean skincare that also delves into the extra things that koreans do that isnt topical, like diet, skin services, and supplements like ginseng

I used to live in Korea, and I fell in love with every single product I used.
Top notch skin care at amazingly affordable prices. And loads of little freebies every time I shopped. I would love to go back with an empty suitcase and come back home with it filled to the brim with ALL the things!

the iUNIK tea tree serum is AMAZING. i have oily skin and live in FL and was shocked with how matte my face was at the end of the day after my first time using it. honestly love everything from that line and the moisturizer smells amazing without having fragrance

I started with Korean skin care about six months ago, and I love it. I use the Numbuzin 5 serum, the Rovectin Lotus cream, and the Beauty of Joeson Revive eye serum and sunscreen. I also have the VT Reedle Shot 100 on the way! I’m 50 years old, and I think these products have really improved the tone and texture of my skin.

My biggest flex is that my skin care literally consists of all the products he mentioned. (The serum and moisturiser for oily skin) because my skin is a oily mess. And I garantee that all the products Hyram mentioned are TOP NOTCH ! I started skin care because of hyram, my first product was ordinary niacinamide. I am so grateful I found you when I needed you the most. ❤️

my skin is too sensitive that most products caused trouble for me until I found my top notch products and all are korean, except a few...
    1. Banila co zero cleansing balm (blue one)
    2. Roundlab dokdo toner
    3. Purito unscented serum
    4. Iunik centella calming gel cream
These are my must have. Only my facewash is himalaya (Indian brand) from korean benton facewash is good too and sunscreen is biore water essence (japanese... and only sunscreen my sensitive oily skin can take) also in winter, the only thing i change is moisturiser and I use, cerave lotion for normal to dry skin.
And of course, la Roche posay cicaplast b5 balm, this is actually a saviour for my sensitive skin

It’s making a year since I started using Korean skincare ❤
    My favs are:
    Anua heartleaf 77% toner
    Iunik tea tree serum
    I’m from licorice calming cream
Tocobo cotton soft sun stick 🫶
This are my favorite that I always came back.
I tried the iunik cream but I skin became dry and flaking :( so back to the usual.

Great, informative video! I'm a 44 year old woman with oily, acne prone and textured skin who is a new K-beauty convert...I currently use Agency tretinoin treatment for anti-aging and I enjoy, as a complement to my anti-aging skincare products from Agency, the Snail Rescue purifying face wash from Peach Slices (I think they may be affiliated with Peach and Lily), but Peach Slices regardless, is a Korean brand. I've also used the Peach Slices Snail Rescue oil-free moisturizer, which is fabulous and super lightweight. I also have the Peach Slices Snail Rescue Blemish Busting toner....all of this Snail Rescue line contains 95% snail mucin concentrate and I've enjoyed using this toner to calm my skin as well from the tretinoin, as the Snail Rescue products also contain Centella and tea tree oil. For my sunscreen, I had to go with an Asian sunscreen due to their superior filters and luxurious feel, because nobody wants a tretinoin sunburn from an inferior sunscreen. I rotate between the (Korean) Biore UV Aqua Rich weightless moisturizer w broad spectrum SPF 50, which is great because it does double duty as both my SPF and provides moisture for my oily skin without having to apply two separate products and THEN apply makeup and a bunch of other products to my face as I do most days. The only downside to the Biore UV Aqua Rich is that it's NOT water-resistant and there are plenty of days when I sweat, either from the dry heat where I live (Las Vegas, NV) or from indoor heating, heat styling, hormonal changes, you name it. I found a great water resistant sunscreen that I've been loving (it was recommended by Dr. Jenny Liu here on TH-cam), and it's the Kose Suncut UV Perfect Essence SPF 50 PA++++. It's water resistant, moisturizing enough to act as my AM moisturizer and behaves beautifully under makeup....which by the way, I'm next going to purchase the very viral Tir Tir Red Cushion foundation and also,I believe you may have influenced me to try the Haruharu Wonder Black Rice moisture cleanser. Congrats on all your well-deserved success and thanks for the Stylevana discount code!

Korean sunscreens are the only ones that don't irritate the living daylights out of my skin. I've been using the HaruHaru Black Rice Airyfit all summer! I've also tried and enjoyed the Purito centella one (it's packed away so I don't recall the name) and the Tocobo cica one (same problem). And for reapplication, the Tocobo Cica Cooling sun stick. Highly recommend any and/or all!

I can't recommend enough the Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Sun Cream SPF50+ because the whitecast very quickly, and I mean within a couple of minutes, fades and you won't notice it's there. Also, while you do still need a moisturizer, the little bit of added moisturizing is appreciated.

Question- 1- can you use just a cleanser to remove sunscreen? Cuz double cleansing tends to strip my skin too much.
Question 2- I’m surprised Rovectin lotus moisturizer wasn’t on your moisturizer list?? Do you like these moisturizers more than the Rovectin one now?
Question 3- serum for combo skin?
Question 4- might be a dumb question but can you use sunscreen stick even if it’s a different brand from the sunscreen you used in morning?
Question 5- I get confused with Korean moisturizers. Do they do different moisturizers for day and night?? Would you recommend a different day and night Korean moisturizer?
Finally have you heard of custom serums? At amore Seongsu, AI will evaluate your skin and create a custom serum for it. Any thoughts?

    • @YippieYerpPerkyJerk
      @YippieYerpPerkyJerk 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Question 1: you can use your cleanser to remove dirt and sunscreen if you use it twice. Just be sure your cleanser isn’t stripping the oils of your skin!
Question 4: yes! After I wash my face I use ISNTREE Hyaluronic acid sunscreen, and then I use the Abib sunscreen stick throughout the day (I work outside 10+ hours a day and my skin doesn’t get irritated with using two different sunscreens. But pls do patch tests to be sure you aren’t allergic to any of the products).
Question 5: you can use a different moisturizer at night if you want to! I use a creamier/thicker moisturizer at night so my skin is hydrated, but for my morning moisturizer I use a light weight one so it’s not heavy when I keep reapply sunscreen throughout the day :) hope this helps!

I've been to South Korea. It's funny how people go nuts over Korean skin products, yet so many people in Korea use the plainest Nivea cream and THEY LOVE IT. I do like using their cultural 7 veil approach of just layering moisture (even if it's the same essence, or toner). I find a lot of value in just layering. Elf is still my favourite toner (I don't get SKII. I hate the scent and overall, just didn't like it). I do like Dr. Jart essence but it's a bit too strong to use every single day. I love Dr. Jart yellow cream. Thank you for making the video. I really appreciate you sharing all your knowledge. I might buy a few things from Stylevana. Thank you again.

You literally can't overapply the stick sunscreen, to reach that spf on the label you need to do like 30 swipes, which nobody does. That's why it is better for reapplication rather than base protection.

Just a warning to anyone new to skincare here ⚠️⚠️ YOU DO NEED A LOTION SUNSCREEN, especially if the UV index is 3 or above some time during the day. By only using a stick sunscreen, you're applying less than the 2mg/cm² at which SPF tests are done! THIS MEANS YOU'RE NOT GETTING THE FULL PROTECTION MARKED ON THE LABEL. The amount of protection that you get from your sunscreen highly depends on the amount you're using. For your entire face, it's regularly around 2 finger lenghts worth of lotion sunscreen (and 1 additional one for your neck). You probably should also reapply your sunscreen every two hours if you're staying in the sun for a while (this is where a stick sunscreen really shines, bc they're so easy to use). Although MOST IMPORTANTLY, the best protection against UV damage is sun avoidance (try not to stand in direct sunlight when possible, even when wearing sunscreen!). SEEK SHADE!

Etc etc I don't want to buy so much and just add it to my face not even knowing why I need it. Do we need a thousand products to get luxurious skin or can we clean the face, then wash, then hydrate and keep it moving? The basics are a cleanser and sunscreen if dry skin then the basics would be a cleanser a moisturizer and a sunscreen if oily skin then am routine should be cleanser then sunscreen (most sunscreens are moisturizers hence why no need for a separate moisturizer) and the pm routine would be cleanser then a light weight moisturizer if dry skin then am skin care routine would be cleanser (optional can use just water) then moisturizer then sunscreen and at night cleanse then moisturize. for easier and better removal of makeup and sunscreen use micellar water or a cleansing oil at night before the regular cleanser. These are the basics and if u don’t have a problem in ur skin that needs to be fixed then there is no need for more products

HI I also want to mention all the chemicals the u.s. allows in skin care products is also why they feel horrible and most don't work as well. Korea dose not allow any chemicals and is more natural and actually dose what it claims with lots of clinical studies. it's also easy to tell when the products expires because the date is actually on most products. I feel like when you see results you will continue to use the products more vs U.S products you keep buying more that don' work. Thanks love your videos

A lil worrisome that Stylevana allows products which do not disclose ingredients while claiming to be cruelty free. Many products I found so far, the first ingredients are water alcohol and glycerin…for 3 very different products as well as different companies. Also, not many reviews on vast majority of site which is scary enough. I’m too old and sick to play guinea pig. 🐹 Even tho I’m old, I’m still brand new. I wasn’t into makeup or pampering or self love, trying to change that, but bad habits are a “ “ 😢😅 ❤

Do you have a suggestion for a serum for dry sky but that's vegan? (i.e without the snail mucin) Love the video! thanks!

I can recommend a few depending on what you need. I'd recommend Mixoon Bean essence- good for hydration and light exfoliation and good price point. VT PRN is more expensive but also vegan has anti ageing benefits not just hydration.. If you want a really good basic one the Aestura Barrier cream is a good basic repairing one

@@silviafabiolatalaveragalva5245 it takes a super long time in terms of what we are used to with Amazon. I get mine within a month or so. It takes a long time to even get the tracking information and then after that it’s really slow. But at the end of the day, I finally did a bulk order and saved a lot of money.

Does anyone know if it's ok to use a cleansing balm and a cleansing oil? Like I'm currently using a cleansing balm to remove my makeup... if I wanted to incorporate a cleansing oil should that be its own step or should I use the oil in replace of the balm? Would the oil work to remove my makeup?

    • @lauraanderson8785
      @lauraanderson8785 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

If you want to try out a cleansing oil, it would replace the balm. Cleansing oils and balms both work great in taking off makeup. Personally I own a cleansing oil, a cleansing balm, and a water-based cleanser. When I'm at home I usually use the cleansing oil first and a water-based cleanser second, and when I travel (which is quite often bc my family lives 3h away) I take the balm with me since it's so handy for travel, no spills lol. You could buy an oil if you want and rotate between that and the balm, just to see what you like 🙂

DO NOT, and I repeat DO NOT use stick sunscreens as your only sunscreen.
Lab Muffin Beauty Science made a great video why they are not enough. You need a regular sunscreen as the base for them to work properly. They are a nice way to re-apply, but don't work as your only sunscreen. Because you need a hefty amount to reach the 50 SPF rating.
