My boy, who is 2 1\2 years old and only has a couple functional words and just babbles like my 12 month old baby. This has been a help to me and am now a new subscriber to follow Lex's speech journey. Thank you!

If your kiddo is having any kind of speech delay early intervention is such a great thing! It can't hurt and why not take advantage of any help you can? Congratulations on the newest baby that's fantastic!

Hi Stephanie! I just wanted to say that I adore your videos and family. Currently, I’m in school for early childhood education and wanted to become a teacher. From watching your videos and seeing the importance of early intervention and how much of an impact therapy can have on younger children, I’ve decided to become a developmental therapist. Child development has also been of interest to me, but to see the positive interactions between your kiddos and their therapists has inspired me to want to help support children developmentally. Thank you for sharing your life and making so many educational videos on autism; you’re changing lives 💕💕

My 7 month old still has acid reflux :/ I recently started adding ThickIt to her bottles to thicken it up and make it a little easier for her to keep down. It's working great! It's available pretty much anywhere with a pharmacy/medicine section. It may be worth a try for little Liam!

Girl don't stress the whole talking thing to much. My youngest was a super late talker. I worried until the doc told me "why would he talk if every1 talks for him" it made sense after that. Good Luck tho. I love ur fam♡

My siblings and I all had reflux because we were allergic to dairy. It stopped when we were switched to soy. Not sure if you're breastfeeding, but I hope the reflux stops soon. I have GERD as an adult and one of the things I have to do is sit up for at least an hour after eating. That may help if you can feed him sitting up and keep him up for some time after he finishes eating. Sending you all love

My almost 3 year old has a genetic abnormality, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, SPD, developmental delays, and speech delays. Speech, PT, and OT have done wonders for her since she started at 9 months old. Wishing 8 months she went from 5 words to almost 200, with 250 being the amount required for a 3 year old. Our 8 month old has the same genetic condition and I’m 17 weeks pregnant and this baby also has it thanks to our amnio. He’ll do amazing with all of the help he receives!

I think Lex is a pretty cool kid. He is very a very happy and funny toddler. Words. I understand he's nonverbal, but in most cases it isn't always necessary say a lot. Lex's actions in the last videos spoke louder than words could have. For Lex's speech therapy, I am very proud of him.

I would occasionally put some Farax cereal in my son's bottle with the formula to thicken it but, you can also get thickened formulas to help with Reflux. You can also get Toddler Reflux medicine now as well at the Pharmacy.

My oldest had hip dysplasia, he wore a harness (not metal, it was like hard canvas), for the first 6 months 24/7, the doctors caught it immediately. Thankfully he's had no issues, hes 12 now.

I strongly suggest you move to Onondaga County New York as I have several friends living there who have children on varying parts of the spectrum where they have found lots of services which were very easy to get at and are almost completely financially covered by insurance, etc. It is also cheaper than Boston.

my almost 3 year old is on the waiting list for occupational therapy i just cancelled speech cause my son is doing so much better with talking. i'm waiting on getting him dinosed i think he has sensory disorder for sure, but i would like to know if he is autistic or what as a mother i just want too know. he has always been delayed unfortunately and all of this has truly help me by watching your videos on just coming to terms with everything. it is truly heart breaking to know you can't help your child because they are having a fit and all you can do is just hold them through it. thank you so much for these video's.

My sister didn't talk until she was three and half, at least not in a way we could understand, her speech was super fast or just huhs and ahs and she made up words as she wanted - God potty training was a nightmare because she wasn't telling us she have to go to potty and now she never shuts up until she sleeps ^^ I am sure Lex will start to talk and never stop nagging

My son's Autism evaluation is on Wednesday. He has the same Mickey shirt Lex is wearing.

I apologize if this has been mentioned but I saw you mentioned reflux and noticed baby’s open mouth posture. Has he ever been assessed for or told he has a tongue tie? That’s a HUGE indicator when kids have “reflux” when often the issues are due to tongue tie. Since he’s still young, getting it clipped would reduce open mouth posture and hopefully his reflux! Check out IAOFM for preferred providers (ENTs, Dentists) specialized in tongue tie.

My daughter Still has reflux at 9 months but it’s pretty much gone since I put oatmeal in her bottles.. if I do straight formula she’ll spit twice the bottle

    • @ThePauleeny
      @ThePauleeny 6 ปีที่แล้ว

Amber Marie Adding oatmeal to formula is dangerous... Messes up the constitution of the milk formula...I switched to Enfamil AR when my son was diagnosed with infant reflux

My 27 month old got ranked below the first percentile at his speech eval 2 months ago. I found this lady that runs the CHERAB foudantion for apraxia, autism, speech disorders, & late talkers. She swears by the omega 3-6-9 fish oils and has helped start a non profit to to research it's benefits associated with speech. Anyhow, I was skeptical, but our pediatrician said it was safe to try. Within the first 2 weeks of being on it her gained 50 new words and now 2 months later he's singing songs and using 3-4 word sentences. It might be worth looking into for Lex and even Noah. I don't like pushing people to do things though, so definitely do your own research. But it definitely helped us more than I could've imagined.
Ohhh..and reflux with the little ones is no fun :/ my little guy had it bad until he started eating solids regularly. Hopefully it'll end for Liam soon.

My Son who is now 15yrs had his acid reflux until he was 1yr old and then I still had to watch what he ate. Though at 1 he absolutely loved Banana Custard which you think would have bought on the reflux but, I think by the age of 1 he had pretty much grown out of it. He also had pretty much given up bottles by the age of 1 and drunk a lot of milk and water as well out of a cup.
The projectile spitting up was pretty bad when he was a bub and it used to take him about 2hrs just to drink 1 bottle and by the time he was finished one feed he was ready for another one.
I had to also sleep him on his tummy as with the reflux that was the only way that he would settle through the day after a feed. I had to keep a very close eye on him.
The medication Called Infants Friend did help slightly.
Reflux babies are so hard and can scream in pain and the only thing that would help sometimes was a warm bath at 1am in the morning.
I hope that his Reflux is not too bad.
