Every new set I watch these videos religiously and every FNM I just try to play boros because people at FNM panic when boros goes wide on turn 3. But I'll keep watching!
I mean they could always crew vehicles when they were introduced in Kaladesh. It's not anything new. Odd yeah but it's not the first time there has been some weird flavor going on.
I feel like the elvish refueler is a must kill. There are some exhaust abilities in other colours that you can't just let your opponent keep doing every turn. Green's seem to be just +1+1 counters.
He said "basically on rate for a two drop" and i think he is referring to what you are pointing out. Most two drops are 2/2 with text that makes it better than a 3/2 vanilla. Also, he said two drops and not rarity, so two drops in uncommon and rare will have this stat line and even more upside. So i think this is "basically on rate for stats." I dont think you are wrong, but i believe this guy is not above any power level rate, even if this is new for common rarity.
@@ItsDangerousGoAlone Yes but a 3/2 vanilla has a bit more upside here, it uses bite effects better and there are those in green and it crews better, plus there is support for being vanilla (also in green) Also there was a nonlegendary 3/2 vanilla in original kaladesh
@ It should be, if a card only builds around with uncommons it 100% affects the winrate compared to a buildaround card that synergizes with commons. But yeah it doesn't affect the p1p1 rating of the card itself
Yeah, S is not in his grading system. Also, although the modality is good on this, it's not a basically unbeatable bomb, which have existed. The creature still dies to removal and the cycle ability is an inefficient combat trick that is good because it replaces itself. This isn't Bonny Pal or Avabruck Caretaker, which would have been S if he did S.
5 mana 8/8 trampler with cycling for a premium combat trick seems backbreaking. Cheap, versatile and demands a response. All star limited card incoming.
C for Loxodon Surveyor might be too generous. Including this card there are only 2 cards in green that care about speed and the other is virtually unplayable. Green also seems to lack the tools necessary to consistently push damage through to generate speed. I can't see a world where one can build a speed matters green deck nor a world where you would splash green to play this card. I think this card in particular is just going to be basically a vanilla creature most games and that is just not good enough.
I'd say 3 mana for 3/3 is already a D+ at vanilla. Even if you don't have any other start your engines support, this can still draw you a card in the late game once you've gotten through for damage 3 times, which will still happen. Also, green has lots of ways to give things trample, which is a bit of a speed enabler since even if it only gets through a single point of damage you speed up.
Veloheary Bike synergizes amazingly with Run Over, as you can cast the vehicle, then tap before crewing it, then crew and using the bite targeting itself, and dealing 4 damage. Sounds like a good use of mana.
damn full set review in three days hes locked in
You must be new here lol
A late District Mascot can still Saddle, swing, and immediately sac to blow up an artifact.
Thanks Nizzahon, for this public service of rumaging through the dirt and delivering us gold for draft!
Timmy's check in!
Present and accounted for!
Run Over is amazing in a Vehicle set since Vehicles require Crew to compensate for their OP stat-lines.
One of my budget decks for commander is Ruxa patient professor, glad that vanillas and support for them are slowly coming back to the game
I look forward to the day they make some type of wording that can buff french vanilla creatures lol

So are all these insects, cats and ooze dinosaurs (?) supposed to be driving cars now?

So about the Afterburner: each time he comes back, you can use the Exhaust ability again
Yeah, but that's just paying to get the counters again.

They're definitely trying to make up for green's slump in Standard and it seems a lot of that boost is likely to bleed over into limited as well.
It the green goblin
Jund colours seem really good this set
Please show me a single vanilla 2 mana 3/2 at common in a standard legal set. That is still above rate.
Vanilla 3/2 is arguably worse than vanilla 2/3 and we had plenty of those.

Rarity has nothing to do with a card's evaluation.

Flavor text on Earth Rumbler... are the slivers entering the chat soon?
I will spend today and every day from now on praying that we get slivers in a new magic set until it actually happens
How in the world is agonosaur an A and not an S?
has he ever done an S?
@@ab-mc2nq A+ is often already a bomb that is almost impossible to beat, even when immediately answered, kinda like Bonnie Pal.

I don't do S.
Idk what the heck they were thinking with the dinosaurs in this set, it’s absurd 🙄

fang druid summoner is a giant spider on its own. That is better than a D in this format.
It's been a real long time since Giant Spider was playable.
Ooze patrol is Just the croco child Game that Hurts your Fingers... I cant be the only one seeing this!

Are there any other GREEN GOBLINS? Like, ever?
Yes, several mono-colored ones, and lots of multi-colored ones that have Green in their identity.

Yak, yak yak. Get on with it.
