    Grass/Fire = Scovillian
    Steel/Poison = Revavroom
Electric/Fighting = Pawmot and Iron Hands
    Bug/Dark = Lokix
    Poison/Normal = Grafaiai
    Ground/Fighting = Great Tusk
    Fairy/Fighting = Iron Valiant
We got 7 out of the 16 unused type combinations in Scarlett and Violet, and there are still 9 missing, so I think we may need to wait until Gen 11th to have them all.

I think what the whole “normal” thing’s about, is that it is given to animal Pokémon that naturally exist. Arcanine, although a dog-like creature, was based on a mythological animal in Japanese Culture (I think), hence why it isn’t normal type.

I think that most Dual Normal types kind of fall into the category of "These are essentially just normal animals, but like they have a little bit of something else in them that makes them special" Like Sawsbuck, take away his Antlers, it's just a normal deer. Helioptile generates electricity by basking in the sun, which I assume they would need to do a lot since it can't store electricity. If Bibarel didn't live in the water, it would probably also just be normal. Even the bird pokemon, yeah they fly, but like they're just birds in most cases. Like most of the dual Normal types just have an aspect of that other type but aren't fully capable of being that type.
I mean there are some weird ones that don't make sense. Like Pyroar and Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark. Cause Pyroar has fire coming off of itself and has an internal organ that produces fire similar to the surface of the sun, it should just be a fire type. And How is Zoroark a Normal ghost...? what is so normal about it? It's vengeful and aggressive... why isn't it dark/ghost?

Alsi I know that technically mega altaria exists, but you can't use it. So there are no real dragon/fairy types. A regional form for something like dragonite would be awesome, or maybe an alternate 3rd Evo to remain a snake like pokemon.

Normal typing also adds immunity to ghost type attacks. Grumpig is psychic and weak to ghost types, but Girafarig is psychic and normal and therefore immune to them. Ghosts are immune to normal type attacks, but all normal Pokemon can learn a variety of different type moves, in many cases not having any normal moves at all. A normal type that knows a ghost type attack like shadow claw, shadow ball or astonish can damage a ghost type quite effectively while taking almost no damage from it.

Similarly with Ground/Fairy, Dwarves could also work since they like to live in the mountains, though since many of the specific ones I can think of also are blacksmiths or use weapons, steel/fairy could also work though we probably don't need any more of those especially after Zacian. I was initially considering ogres working since it'd be like having a scary looking fairy that isn't Grimmsnarl or Granbull, but those things are known to eat people apparently so they'd definitely be dark. Plus Grimmsnarl is kinda already one anyway.

So maybe a pokemon inspired by this with a OHKO move that references the FBI 😅

My thoughts for an ice/poison type was something like an ancient disease that had been preserved in ice to the modern day. It could either start out as a pure ice type, but then gain the poison typing upon evolving, or it could be a “fossil” Pokémon that you revive (maybe call it something like the icy fossil).

    • @angelomendoza6666
      @angelomendoza6666 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I think it should start out as a poison type, because its main characteristic is that it’s a disease.
Also, I think it could make more sense that the evolution could go two ways.
Poison/Fire, so that it turns into a speedy offensive pokemon. Its ability could increase the power of poison moves and make them have the possibility to burn.
      or
Poison/Ice, so it becomes a defensive wall. Its ability could increase the chances of poisoning and also increase the effects of poisoning (This would make Toxic OP).

I think any fire/grass type that isn't a tiki would likely need to have a lot of 'disposable foliage' and Tangela seems like the kind of Pokemon that would have a lot of that, since no matter how much you cut, you'll seemingly never get to the critter underneath, so burning its own plant matter wouldn't bother it. :)

Normal combined with other types does make a bit of sense even outside the "evolves into normal/something" when it is also tied to Sound. Special moves from the normal type are mostly sound based. This is why Litleo/Pyroar is Fire/Normal, by the way- note that the order of the types actually matter here: Fire is the main type(it is a fire lion), Normal, aka Sound, is what it does. It has a bunch of moves it learns by level up that are based on it roaring- Noble Roar, Echoed Voice and Hyper Voice.
Since they don't seem like they want to add sound as a type(too many other types have sound moves already, maybe), adding normal to mons that use sound makes sense.

I dont understand why they won't add it, the "sound is a normal thing" falls apart since something like lighting a match or throwing sand in somebody's eye is something a random person could do, and. It's also more about the manipulation or amplification of Sound rather than "this normal thing can produce sound", and if that's the case then why is ice type different from water when ice is LITERALLY frozen water, or ground being different from rock.
Sound is a type that will EVENTUALLY be added, my theory is that they are trying to figure out interesting designs that are not just an instrument with arms and legs.
There's other types that could be added like Time or Cosmic anyways

I like the ground/fairy knome idea, but I would like to see a ground/fairy Groundhog. It doesn’t fit with the region, but the fairy type comes from the legend that if the ground hog sees it’s shadow winter will be longer, so maybe in-game it’s a Pokémon that actually determines when the seasons change. For it’s ability, it could have a signature one where there’s a 50/50 chance for it to either cause hail or harsh sunlight, depending on whether or not it sees it’s shadow. Sun would be good for it so water is weaker (a super effective type against ground) whereas hail would be bad for it because of 100% accurate ice moves.

Poison/Steel is my favorite of the unused combinations because of the possibilities with rusting. You could even start with a pure steel type (maybe even Steel/Normal for fun, lol), and then have it corrode over time. That's quiet literally 1 to 1 the explanation we got for these pokemon. Them having gone extinct after being chased away by humans from other regions due to fear of their abilities and then being "reincarnated" as vengeful spirits who wander the world and attack every other creature that comes near them.
They are even very clearly moddled after a mother and child, with Zoruark being a lot more feminine in legends and keeping the protective parental instinct to protect Zorua.

These might refresh once a day, giving plenty of resources and money if you have the time and luck to acquire these.

Dark and fairy aren't really opposites. Fairys were quite often nasty and sometimes downright evil in the old fairy tales. People used to perform certain rituals in the past, like leaving milk or food outside for fairyfolk as to not get on their bad side and cursed with bad luck or disease.
I'd love to see more "pretty" fairy/dark pokémon in the future. Or other fairy types that look more grim, even if they aren't fairy/dark. Getting special fairy and dark combo moves like hawluchas flying press would also be pretty nice.

Yeah but fairies are often associated with light, just like fire is associated with heat (while so many things are combustible even at room temperature), which is still always considered a counter to ice. I’m very surprised that we haven’t had a Bug/Dark type yet. Something like a cockroach Pokémon could fulfill that typing very easily. Also we need a better bug/ground type. Also bug normal does make sense as a typing. If bug dragon can work so well, we can easily get a bug normal type that's some sort of mammal insect fusion. Like a literal wolf spider or something.

Psudodragons are small imp looking creatures that resemble dragons so a dragon/fairy type would be interesting.

a thing about the normal type, its not always a "starting type" for example i have dog(normal) now its fire dog(normal fire). it is also used as: ihave this dragon (dragon) but i need to make it more friendly and soft so i give it the normal type: drampa, or i have a smart monkey, im am going to make that monkey look smart like the abra line: psycick, but if i want it just being a monkey wich is smart but is still just a monkey, i give it the normal type.
normal isnt always a type wich indicates the species of a pokemon now in the newer gens it is more fixed on the personality the looks or some special gimick
(also i want to see a normal ice snowman alot)
    edit:
also i want a normal poison regional ditto: a pokemon wich is glitched and corrupted in a toxic liquid wich mutated its cells when using its ability the cells make a mistake an mutate to a different species making it more of a metronomy pokemon i know its not really a good pokemon in a gameplay way but i think it would be funny and good for challanges
note: (as you can see im a normal type fan)
edit edit: im also really pissed how gamefreak missed an opportunity to make kricketopt and kricketune a normal bug because they ar so music based and normal is also the sound type
