I also picked up the spiral-bound edition of Realm (and Dungeon and Lairs!). I still travel with my zine-style PDF print-out bound by binder clips, but when I'm at home, there's nothing better than spreading out the spiral-bound books on the table! Much more efficient cross-referencing, imo.
Toby just recently clarified that each area has 100 points for building, not 100 per square. So it limits how many buildings can be stuck in each section. Great video. Thanks!!!
Oooooooh so 100 points max, regardless of the area size.....fair enough 🙂 So really, what's the benefit of integrating larger areas into your title claim area....you get taxed more and you're not able to build more as a result? Unless I'm missing something...
I like your channel very much. Great video and great series. Thanks and congrats. Today I had a fun time starting reading the 2d6 Realm rules. That's because of this series of yours.❤ Also, I know that that is not the point, but how do you like the pen you are using? It seems to be a Pilot model that is refillable and erasable. I've been using gel pens, finding them really satisfying. I'm trying to up my stationary game when it comes to having fun with TTRPGs, hence the question. I find that the right pens and pencils and paper make the hobby even more enjoyable. Thank you, sorry to bug you, V
I think I agree with you that normal houses dont require workers, just time and money and they generate workers that your other buildings need. That's what makes sense to me initially, at about 35mins in you take the cost of the farm from your silver instead of your gold I believe. Can you add more workers to the field to build it faster? I was wondering if that is an option in the system because you have 2 left over workers after the 2 you allocated to the farm.
So after three videos - would you recommend this and 2d6 dungeon as a good system for long term playing or is it too much numbers to crunch or gets too “samey” quickly (the most common complaints I’ve heard but still want to buy…)
I'd definitely recommend 2D6 Dungeon, but It's too early to say if I'd recommend Realm. I think you have to be ready for a level of bookkeeping that would put some people off. If you don't mind the prospect of keeping records across 5 or 10 or more sheets of paper, I think there's enough game that it wouldn't be repetitive for long-term play. Hope that helps!
Fantastic episode.... an love the sleeves!
12:53 I believe it's Wellness (not Awareness) since the first is a thing in the book while the latter does not even appear again in the book.❤

So much easier to use! Borderline essential, I reckon!

@@lone_adventurerThat's a great question. You got a point there.

The neckless @ 27:20 should have been 22 Gold Coins buddy
Ah cheers David!
Also you have to sell your items in town not get the gold immediately, you might get more or less depending what you roll in town. Cheers.
@@vortakgames curses! Fair enough, I'll roll that back and go to town soon!!
@@lone_adventurerno problem. You’ve done well and I playtested 2D6 dungeon, the realms has a lot going on to track. I enjoy watching this!

Yeah I'm not sure you can assign additional workers to speed up the building process... That does sound kinda logical though!
Not going to lie, I think I would need to literally hire an accountant to play this game 😅🤓
Ha, yeah the maths is definitely....there! Good to stretch the old brain a little bit though!
Since the shrubland is 7 plots, I think you also roll on the 5 plots or larger table?
Yes indeed - forgot to do that :)
hello!! where did you find the printed version? thanks in advance. It seems really well printed
It's the official product purchased from the game designer directly at DR Games!
@lone_adventurer ok. Thank you!!!
