Thanks for making this video Man Alone! You did a fantastic job of explaining the rules, and highlighting the different mechanics and systems that I hope make the game, interesting and deep. That start, by the way, was epic. It’s rare for players to level up in the first few rooms. It’s also rarer to find a quest and then complete it in the next room! It’s also fantastic that you are using James’s board, the tabletop engineer, it’s such a great accessory and has been very popular. Also I really enjoy your injection of humour, keep it coming. Thanks again, Toby. 😊

Funniest video I've seen in months. You're killing it. Oh.. and we've been going through a restructure at my workplace recently and you just gave me an intense PTSD flashback. Thanks for that.
Loved the new intro and, oh God I felt so seen by that "please, just stop wasting your time and play the damn game!" speech. XD Better start playing since I don't want to lose this job. Now if only I could find the perfect dice... By the way, I'm from Brazil.
If anyone is going to be able to figure out how to overcome a challenge in this dungeon using bones and a dozen human teeth, my money is on you ManAlone.
My favorite solo RPG. The thing is, as a solo game, i usually hate the drag of combat, so the system here speeds up the mechanics while still keeping it tense.
Loved 2d6 Dungeon. It's what got me started on the solo journey. Picked up Sojourn, then Pirate Borg. Now Forbidden Lands. 2d6 is a great gateway, and I should give it another visit...
If I were to win (unlikely), as an international person, would it be possible to pay the shipping and other fees to get the Dragonbane book? Or is it just too much hassle to send it?
Interesting game! The table referencing looks like it could be a bit finnicky, but I guess if you're willing to move at a slower pace and have a chill night it wouldn't be too bad. Also about having "a sense for where numbers are on dice" there's a bit of a trick that helps. Numbers on opposite sides of the dice always add up to the maximum number +1. So on a d6 the 6 is opposite the 1, the 5 is opposite the 2, and the 4 is opposite the 3. So if you're looking for a 1 on a d10 and you see the 0, the 1 is on the opposite side.
I really wish your HR session was less accurate. At the 30 second Mark you had me reaching for my Rolaids. I work from home and as I continued to listen while working, I caught myself at the 8-minute mark just before I emailed a resignation to my real world company. I think you need to use your power more responsibly.
Once I was asked to join HR in a small conference room... then the blinds were closed. Other individuals of my job responsibilities across the country were caught larking in Corporate servers. It did not end well for them. HR's motto was " ... anyone can be replaced." Luckily I was smarter than they were. Yay me.

Your remarks about putting hash marks around your dungeon are devastatingly accurate but that does not make me hate you any less for having made the observation.😅 Why is it we despise the people who reveal valuable truths about ourselves. The fact that I am unwilling to put sufficient effort into putting hash marks around a dungeon speaks poorly of my character. I am willing to suffer this until it is pointed out, and then it becomes unbearable because it is unavoidable. Why do I transfer that unbearable dread to the person who pointed it out?
@amanisalone I've seen a majority of TH-cam add time marks to their videos so that people can watch the actual content instead of listening to an ad or long message at the beginning. I just go right into the topic, no time to waste on anything else.

I downloaded the freely available 2D6 Dungeon stuff to check out the other day and I was surprised at how poor the graphic design was on this. Its just hard to look at.
