Used to get the first tram on Sunday morning from Argyll Street to Dalmuir West (about 5.30am) after working in dispatch at the Sunday Post, boy could they travel when the roads were empty !

Hello again, Alrx/Alex. During the 1960s, I spent wonderful times with my Dear Auld Grampa - James Keir Brown (Jimmy, died June 1983; buried at Cadder Cemetery), with the Polmadie Railway Members' Angling Club camping coach at Rannoch Station.
One of my Grampa's railway mates from working at St Enoch's and Queen Street stations was a Mr Wylie. No relation?
Memories: Rannoch camping coach, mid-1960s - waking up to a breakfast of sizzling, ultra-fresh trout cooked lovingly in butter, given free, gratis and for nothing, via the night-fishermen. [Edit ...]
Also available were extras such as eggs, bacon, sliced haggis and black pudding ... as well as well-fired (😎) potato scones and fried bread and/or toast - all washed down with strong, sweet tea laced with evaporated milk. Bliss.
    I'm rambling.
To you and yours, from me and mine.
    Rab

Another great video. I'll bet those open spaced, and clutter free roads don't exist any more. : ( Meant to subscribe with the previous video, but am doing so now.

What a wonderful film. I was 10 months old in September 1962, so don't renember the trams. I was raised in Kelvinhaugh Street, near Partick and renember the trolleybus.

Thank Alex. I went to Larkfield bus garage in April 1978 to see an open air bus display and got to walk about a disused trolleybus and other buses. I purchased a couple of books on trams/ trolleybuses and got hooked on Glasgow Corporation Transport. My late Father worked for British Railways for 28 years starting in 1953 as a Fireman/ Steam Shunter. He was based in Bellahouston and also worked in High Street but as a lorry driver for BR and Frieghtliners. Shame there arent many footage of Glasgow stem from the 1950's/ 60's around from other Glasgow folk. Thanks for the entertaining and inspiring videos.

Wonderful...What happened to the film "9 Dalmuir West" ? I still have the penny I put on the line at Dalmuir West. It's resting on a piece of (modern) tramrail.
