Another great video, Alrx. The good old days when they could put a clapped out bus into the workshop, a few weeks later it would emerge like new again! Great footage of the trolley buses too. I used to drive OKM317 and GSD779, AA buses preserved fleet. The AEC was a pre select gearbox, the Guy Arab has the worst crash box I have ever driven! Old Joe was saying, you young people couldn't drive this. He drove out of Harthill services, he was behind me, I was driving the AEC Regent, I looked in my mirror and he had disappeared. I flashed my lights to stop SJW515 in front of me. Five minutes later, GSD779 passed us with someone else driving! I asked Joe what happened, he very sheepishly said that he couldn't get it out of first gear. I drove it back from Edinburgh to Troon. A few crunches, but the young driver did a lot better as the auld yin!
