oh yes the legendary 3800. The GM v6 powerhouse that ran General motors for nearly 50 years. The Regal GS is a great car.

I've been driving my 2004 for 12+ years now. Still love it and the supercharger surprises a lot of drivers on the road. So many people see the Buick badge and assume slow old man. Then I pass them and leave them behind. Sorry to see your interior wasn't taken care of like mine. I don't have any of the issues you showed here. Great car either way.

I have an 2003 Regal LS as a daily driver with 311,000 miles on it. Being a Salesman's car lot's of highway miles. I get as good as 29 to33 mpg hwy. I have the fabric interior that is flawless & still looks new. Also no body rust. I love driving this comfortable cruiser. Use Wal-Marts Super Tech Synthetic Oil with 5,000 Oil Changes. I wax the car twice a year and still looks, drives like brand new. Best car I ever owned.

It’s 2019, and I’m still driving a 2003 Buick Regal. My parents bought it used in 2011, with low miles. In 2013 I realized I needed a good reliable car for work, so I bought it from them. I’ve put 100k on the car in 6 years (I’m a state investigator). The car looks more dated now than even just a few years ago, which is a shame. But, I get about 30 mpg on the highway, and about 25 mpg in the city. I’ve never had anything serious to repair. It drives like I’m relaxing on a leather couch (my sons aged 18 and 20 ask me to use this car when we go long distance because of how comfortable it drives). Best part? I live in Colorado, and go over some major mountain passes all year long. It handles amazingly well in winter, and I pass everyone going up hill, because the engine on this thing is still awesome. Every time I take it for an oil change, I get a mechanic asking me if I would consider selling because they love the engine, too. Whoo! Long winded for an old car video. 😁 My husband and I own this Buick, a 2006 Subaru, a 2007 Volvo, and a 2014 Jeep Rubicon. All paid off, so I could replace my Buick if I needed to, but won’t. If you’re considering a safe and reliable car for your scary teen driver, or a backup car for errands, you really can’t do much better than this thing. Thanks for the video, and sorry for the ridiculously long comment. 🚗

I had a 2000 Buick Regal gs supercharged abs it was awesome, mine looked just like the one in this video, exactly, loved that color blue on it,I had it 18 yrs and put well over 300,000 miles on it,loved that car & it was reliable

    • @Scientists_dont_lie
      @Scientists_dont_lie ปีที่แล้ว

What about the tranny? I heard they can go pretty fast but I'm not sure if my source is reliable.
I ask cause I'm in love with the Buick Riviera sc of the same era and there is a beautiful 1996 one that I desperately want. It looks great (except it's burgundy inside and out 😒).
I know the Riviera is essentially this car but (imo) better with more bells and whistles.

You said it still runs strong, so why did you take it off the road? What exactly does that mean? Did you take the wheels off and put it up on blocks? What good is it if you can't drive it? Gonna plant flowers in it? Tulips are always nice!

Depends what year the gti is, what motor it has, does he have any mods. Turbo charged motors are easy to get more horsepower with little upgrades. If it's an R32 GTI then I'd say you don't have a chance

    • @aw294man

Mohamed Baza i dont know if you got an aswer lol
But i bout my second gtp last year and bought my buick gs yesterday....
I have absolutely no complaints !!!
Ive got a feeling this guy just doesnt apreciate them that much because gas mileage is great 👍 23.5 miles per gallon or 9 litres per 100kms thats an average for 200kms worth of city and highway half the time with a pretty heavy foot !!!
The interior is also great 👍
You can see your boost, average fuel consumption, and your live fuel consumtion
Not to mention theyre still quick by todays standards and the seats are literally just like sitting in you lay z boy
I recommend one of these for sure...
F.Y.I they are notorious for rusting through the quarter panels and the rer shock towers....
And transmissions tend to fail because people dont maintain them and abuse them too much....
I picked mine up for 900$ off snd elderly couple who wanted a new car it only has 61300 miles !!! 98700kms !!!
Absolutely nothing to fix on the car except a paint job 🙃

i love it.... for its highway long distance trip ride.... its handles pretty damn nice
i get torque steer on snow.... but, its not crazy bad
it had a quite good suspension design....GM used it till 08-ish
but.... i want to swap in a 3.8 SC
will really have a sleeper then!

the constantly failing window regulators....about 15-20 mins and 40 bucks....
      still.... i love the car
its the perfect town and highway car..... especially with the 3.8.... makes passing a lot quicker
big truck, comfortable seats....30mpg highway (ive got 40 i ya do 55 to 60)
