These cars are so underappreciated for what they are. The 3800 is a super reliable motor. I've got an 01 park avenue I picked up for $1500. Needed tires and a cat. So less than 2k in it and I love it. Enough room for me and both kids and like driving your couch. Getting all my parts together for the eaton swap. Some lowering springs and wheels and I'll keep it forever. I noticed your fox too. I have a 78 zephyr wagon (fairmont). 416ci Windsor with a single plate kit, tko600 trans with g force internals. Love all of em! Nice ride.

I got my 2001 Regal NA two years ago for $500 with 93,000 miles. There's a dent on the left side, but runs and drives fine. Lady just wanted to get it out of her driveway. I got lucky. Just turned 98k miles, still running fine.
You got yourself a steal! I actually paid 800 for mine like a year ago with 130k or so on it! They are really good cars. I just couldn't keep doing the premium gas.
I got mines for $400
I have owned 3 of these and loved each one. Bought my first in 2005. It was a 1999 w/ 116,000 miles. I paid 3000.00 cash at a time it was worth 14,000.00. I worked at a Buick dealer at the time and got a steal of a deal. Had it for a year and my husband at the time decided he liked it so much that he bought himself a 2002 one. Trans went out in late 2007 on the 1999. I replaced the trans for around 2200.00. Drove it until March 2018 when the trans went out again at 225,000 miles. At that point I went a bought another one, same color and year but only 145,000 miles for 2200.00. I swapped all the good parts to the "new" 1999 and sold the other one. I am still driving the newer 1999 today. I love these cars and they have all been very reliable for me. I can repair pretty much anything on them and know it in and out. Safe to say I will be driving one for years to come. Also, My Rear bumper look the same but the rest looks good LOL
I definitely plan on keeping it for a while! It’s a good car and gets decent mileage. I just wish it didn’t use premium lol. You are a loyal Buick owner lol. More power to you! I’m at 138k right now and it still runs smooth

Excellent daily driver. And it's nice to see a true car guy that gets his hands dirty to do his own repairs. I would consider that as my DD too but they are difficult to find in good condition like yours. Im in WA also, it's mostly Subarus where I live. Also- good choice on the Mopar stock wheels, they look really good on your GS. Drive safe!

These are some of the best used cars. Everytime I see one in a junk yard that hasn't been wrecked, I wonder why it's owner didn't keep and maintain it. GM won't be making any more 6 cylendar 3.8 litre 90 degree engines like this. They may still be going for cheap but they are scarce now. Just try finding one in another 10 years. I'm keeping mine.
Man I paid 800 for it and it really was worth every dime. I even was able to sell it for more.

I gave $300 for mine
I had a black 1999 gs and loved it. A smaller pulley, a reflash from 3800 performance, SLP dual exhaust/ restricted exhaust pipe delete after cat, CAI, and poly motor mounts made this a wolf in sheeps clothing. The closest car to a modern GN. It loved Mustangs and imports.
Some nice little old lady, 1 owner, her, GAVE ME a 2000Buick Regal 3.8 GS SUPER CHARGED WITH ONLY 59K ON IT! PERFECT CONDITION!I have had it for 2 years now. 64k on it now!

5 bolt 1991-93 Mustang GT five spoke wheels will fit the Buicks bolt pattern. I had them powder coated black with aluminium clearcoated on the edges. They looked sweet with the black paint as does yours.
I love these cars, Yours is very nice. I owned 3 and my advice to you is put a transmission cooler on it you won’t regret it. Awesome steal 💪🏾
I wish I could have kept it! But it wasn’t enough space in the yard to keep it! Definitely recommend it to anyone

What a good video! Just begun to look at W bodies after finding out my Mom was right all these years that he 99 Riviera is a collectible. Only 1800 ever made! Anyway that led me to the Buick Regal of this gen. Nice car man! Looks good but not perfect the way an older car realistically would. I would guess a good price for this one would be $4400? Thanks for the recommend too. Deciding on my next car to buy in 2021 and this moves the Regal GS ahead in the standings.
I only paid 800 for it! Wish I would have kept it though but I upgraded to a Hellcat.

I have a 98 with 69xxxx miles. Same bumper problem. Cars fast, not gonna beat a charger or a mustang but it surprises alot of people when they want to try test you. Good cars alot of my Buick friends work on these. Use them as daily drivers. Some computer and exhaust work plus a few little things you can get 300hp.
They are great cars other than the paint problem. I do miss it sometimes though. I ended up upgrading to a Hellcat recently.

Good review man, I bought a 2000 Regal LS w/71,200 original miles, spotless, great car..but I sure do love the whine of that supercharger, Thanks... oh yeah the solder cracks on those resistors, i just dabbed a bit of flux on the joints and reflowed.

I own a 2002 Buick Regal same exact everything, only thing is that them rims are killing mine lol but still clean.
I love it man! Rides like a couch and its quick. I ended up changing these wheels so that the car gets more attention so I get more people to check out my page.

Yep slapped right on! Had to get some smaller tires but that's about it! Definitely worth the money to upgrade and they are light weight.

Hey how did you change the dash light resistors? I've got a 2001 buick regal gs. Too
I had to buy a soldering iron and resistors from Amazon and put them on the dash circuit board. It wasn’t too hard it was my first time doing it
Buddy I remember being a kid and spray painting shit when me and my friends saw that Buick Regal undercover cop car hit that whistle on the supercharger boy we ran like fucking hell LMFAO. I kid you not I'm having vivid flash backs.
That cop was smart 😂. That had to be the best undercover cop car ever
The cop was part of the Miami Dade gang unit. They had this car supercharged and a Ford Taurus supercharged also and some other cars.
I used to have a 1999 Buick Park Avenue i always wanted to get the supercharger put in it and let it glide.

Mine I feel like it is harsh shifting it’s not slipping but when I got the car it only had 48,000 miles & I did a transmission service including flush will that hurt the transmission? I currently have 59,000 miles on the car as of now
Mark from [fordmustang98guy] I bought mine with 120k but have yet to do a flush. Some shops don’t know what they’re doing so I’m skeptical on getting it change. I’m not having any issues even with bigger wheels. I did hear that changing the fluid could mess things up if not done correctly

It’s the same pattern. I had to put some spacers in the back though
When you installed the new sterio, did it stop the steering wheel buttons from working or were they still functional?
Yeah mine didn’t work with the wheel. You have to get the type that’s compatible with the steering wheel.

I feel it in the wallet now. I got one back in February for 500. I put a new 2 toned paint job on it. The only thing now is the ac. It blows cool on the driver but it blows hot air on the passenger. I took it to be inspected so I can get it fixed but I see they were practically trying to rip me off cause they want fix it by doing recharge then guess on other things. I paid 200 just for them to practically do nothing. Now my temperature reads in Celsius and not farenheit from whatever he did.

Very clean car I paid $1000 for mine due to ignition switch! $100 dollar fix! Oh before you start modding the engine do research on transmission first! Just sayin:) and zzp performance is your friend.

Great GS! I've had two gtps and now looking at getting a Regal GS and making it a 12 second car again. They are so fun!

@@CarReviewsbyKJ I had a 2003 Regal GS. Modded with 3.4" pulley with supporting mods. That thing ripped. These cars with the L67 did not garner the respect that they should have got. There is alot of potential to be had out of the L67. Mine was black with grey rocker panels. Your GS looks sweet. Now I have a 2014 F-150 (rt-570 phase 2). It is supercharged. I love supercharged vehicles Lol. I have the F-150 for 6 years now.

Hellcat you say. Very cool!!! A good driver and good tires should be able to run in the 11's. I do miss my GS. It sure would grunt away from traffic at stop light or good at passing on the highway. It wasn't built to 180 mph. It was built for every day driving . Hence 3600 max rpm torque more usable range for that. Yes I will check out your hellcat.

They are the tinted ones from Amazon. I got them for like 100 but I can’t find them anymore. Not sure if they discontinued them or not.

So whats the diff between the regal and the century
The century doesn’t come supercharged and they have different tail lights. They are very similar
I got the 2002 buick regal. no supercharged. wish mine was. got mine off an old lady too 85 years old original owner 73,000 miles.
I’m sure it rides like a cloud! I miss mine all the time.

You don't have a readout for the supercharger boost ? Mine does I have a 2001. GS Olympic ,Joseph Abboud Edition It has the Olympic rings on the tail lens. And the Olympic rings on the floor mats Other than the Olympic rings, there's nothing to indicate it has a Supercharger, so it's real sneaky. Hehehe
It had it on there I just didn’t use it all the time. I was focused on the MPG 😂

@@phillyspitta8147 I would talk them down to the 3k range or even the 2k’s. The value for these are increasing because more people are discovering them. They aren’t expensive to maintain. I highly recommend!

But also I got 2500 left over so I still need a 3800 super u see one let me know I take a trip to buy it
I’m on my 3rd regal now, just the 03 ls... wrapped it a couple times n sprayed the 18 inch wheels black (can’t tell me nothing lol) these are nice cars tho n they run forever. I have video of my car, check it out get some ideas.

We put some LED LIGHTS on my car and it pulled energy from it badly. It was driving horribly and the speedometer stop working, so we hurried up and took them off and once everything reset on it's own it's back driving right.
A friend of mine has one, she's almost 80 years old sweet church lady, you can't make this up lol. Her husband was a good friend of mine.
If she ever sells it hop on that deal! Wish I kept mine

Not really, the known issue was the upper and lower intake manifold gaskets failing due to a Dex-Cool issue. This would let the oil and coolant mix making folks think it was a headgasket issue.
@@Ramcharger I got a 2000 century 3.1 and I did the thermostat, blew my lower intake gasket. Apparently it's common
