I think this process is awesome! But for me however: Both bats and birds are too squeaky, screechy and is more or less unpleasant sound to hear in a mix. However I love sound of water, rain, rivers and stuff like that. So Cool u exploring so much! 💜

I see what you mean. I find them absolutely amazing to listen to but totally see your point of them being a bit too squeaky - i always take it as a challenge to create something that might produce more unpleasant sounds and making it sound calmer whilst still preserving their unique timbre

This is so cool man, I'm an ecologist and I love how much you know about the ID and call types.

Im just learning the rather challenging craft, but hopefully some day I’ll be able to identify with more certainty. Thank you for checking out the vid!

Hey Andy… do you know of a video that explains how to use Norns with concrete minus a grid or controller?

I'm not aware of a video that specifically explains how to use concrète without a grid or controller. But I find that the Andy's introductory video does a great job of covering the basics. Also, there's a great video by Peter Bark. Originally, concrète was written without a grid control in mind... I added this later on thanks to Andy's feedback. So grid control can be seen as an add-on to extend its features and not part of the core functionality. If you have any questions about specific techniques or usage feel free to hit me up on lines.
