    I connected a Miady 20Ah LiFePo4 battery and was able to run my full size GE refrigerator and my basement sump pump (separately) without any issues.

    Wow I’m pleasantly surprised because I have this same inverter and I’ve never thought of trying to run an AC🤩 I wonder if it would run a full size refrigerator 🤔 Great test 👍

      Hello Steve, it would depend on the energy consumption of the item in question including startup surge (which can present an issue with AC/refrigerators). For the cost I was pleasantly surprised and still have this unit. It is mounted under the seat of our van and I use it for our small 1/3 hp air compressor and tool batteries. Thanks for watching!

    Good day! Just curious if you tested max input voltage and minimum input voltage before shutting down.. I read an online manual, and it said 15-16 max and 11-12 volts minimum. Thanks for posting!

    Next test should be on an oscilloscope. No load and full load and watch what happens to the “pure” sine wave. Does it stay clean or does it deteriorate?

    Nice review. What is your output meter stretched to the lifepo4 battery? I'd like to get one. Thanks

    Your wires, at 12AWG, are WAY undersized for that load. They are sized for perhaps a 200 watt load (20 amps). Increase your wire size to 6AWG.

      We get all that. The purpose of this video is to demonstrate the item with it's supplied items.
      This inverter is still used regularly on our ranch. We are off grid and have multiple inverters we use ranging from 100-2500w. This unit is still used with it's 12awg alligator clips with loads under 250w and performs great.
      If more power is needed we simply use another power source that can fully accommodate the load. Again, these videos demonstrate the item in it's original form, how a person would receive it in the mail and it's limitations in such conditions.
      Thank you for watching.

      Hello A T, the A/C is a dual inverter unit (LG model LW1019IVSM). It basically has a variable stage compressor which steps up current draw gradually preventing the need for a soft start capacitor. Search this channel and I actually have a couple videos specifically showing the A/C unit. It's been an awesome unit, keeping us cool as I type this.

      @@homebuilthappiness2919 Thank you, Sir. Have you tried starting one of those regular 450+or- watt (4500-5000 BTUs) wall units to see if that inverter has enough headroom for the inrush power?

    Im hoping this can charge my phones, steam deck, laptops and maybe some lights. I went with the 300 watt version. Hopefully its enough, fingers crossed 🤞.

      How did the 300 work out? I was thinking about the 300 but saw the 500 is only $10 more.

    • @ricardofranco4114
      @ricardofranco4114 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@feyrband go with the $500 as long as it's a pure sine wave inverter. I had to return mine. It came dead on irival. So I opted for a modified 410 watt power inverter, and it works fine. I haven't had any issues yet. I use it to power 2 xbox One s, two 32' gaming monitors, my phone 24/7, and so much more!
      Modified sine wave inverters aren't as bad as we were led to belive. Also, get the highest wattage one you can afford. I'm going to upgrade mine because the power surge only goes upto 500watts on this little one and I'm right up there so If I hook up anything else to my setup while it's powering things everything turns of then turns back on. Lol.

      @@ricardofranco4114 The problem is that he did not test the signal if it was pure or not, but I saw in another video that this device under pressure gives a very bad signal (not pure), so I am trying to find an alternative inverter💔
      Keep in mind that the impure signal, manifests its symptoms in the future, which will destroy your Xbox hardware

      @waseem8830 Well, I haven't had any issues so far. I'm thinking this modified and pure sine wave is a bunch of horse shit. I've been stress testing the living fuck out of the setup nothing wrong. Maybe it will kill my xbox, phone, tv, and 2nd xbox, but I've been gaming this shit for a while now. No issues what so ever.

      Thanks for sharing that link. I honestly cannot comment on those results nor can I validate them as I don't have an O-scope. I have a few devices that give me major issues on MSW inverters (20v tool battery chargers, laptop chargers). These items heat up and make noise with MSW. I can use them on my bestek with no issues at all. They act just like I have them on grid power so in that respect I assume the wave is good or at least much better than standard MSW. I will add that Joeteck said the inverter made a lot of noise under load and mine actually seems to get quieter over 300w. I currently have it in my van (which has 100w PV panel on roof) mounted under the seat. I run an air compressor, motorcycle battery tender, tool chargers, etc off it and at times run it as high as 550w (110% cap) consistently and it doesn't get hot or loud and the devices run great. I have a shunt inline as well to track voltage and consumption.
      Thats all I can really say. I would recommend viewing the wave on a scope before using with a sensitive medical device or the like.
      Awesome comment. Thanks for your input.

      I bought the 500W based on a fovorable experience with Bestek's 600W Mod Sine wave Inverter, then later found videos of the distorted sign wave issue. I connected an oscilloscope and witnessed a clean output from my unit.

    This inverter is bad, you should give it zero marks it is not pure sine wave under load.

    • @homebuilthappiness2919
      @homebuilthappiness2919  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      That is not my experience. I do not have an O-scope but I have used it with items that I have known issues with running on a MSW inverter and they seem to operate fine without generating the heat that I experience with operation on a MSW unit.
      I use this unit daily outside running a concrete mixer and a bluetooth speaker from our work van in the hot desert heat and it has been a reliable unit under constant daily service.
      If the wave is bad, make a video showing that and share it with the world. In my experience it has been a great unit considering it's price point.
      Thanks for watching

      I've been using this inverter for a couple of years without issue, but I retired it and ordered a different brand after seeing a video referenced above which showed a very dirty output under load. Then, after buying a new inverter, a friend with an O'scope came over and we tested the Bestek pretty much like shown in this video, with similar results. To my surprise, the output wave form was near perfect throughout the operating range, even staying clean above rated output. Your mileage may vary, but someone may have gotten a bad unit. Now I have two inverters, but the Bestek is back in use as it suits my needs better than the new inverter I bought(car camping running a Starlink sat dish, a gaming laptop, and sometimes an AC powered light. Avg load being about 300w with max being about 450w when Starlink is connecting and running dish defrost). TV and fridge run straight DC when camping.
