Outstanding video! Very informative. Will be picking up a couple of these.
Thanks for watching Craig 👍
Excellent video! Keep showing the test figures.
Thanks Rob, glad you liked it 👍
I have the Bestek pure sine 500w. It works well.
Yeah, there is a reason everyone has them 👍
Thanks brother, I will definitely be ordering one now.
Good luck with it Gary 👍
good video, the wife had a good chuckle out of the "I don't know what these do" 😀
Lol, thanks for watching Thump 👍
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching Adam 👍
I am coming to this 2 weeks late, so maybe the comment has already been made. That receptacle into which the fat plug goes is called the "12VDC receptacle." Cars haven't had "cigarette lighter ports" in decades. Also, as one who lives in a Toyota Prius full time, that limitation you mentioned is, indeed, a limitation on the receptacle, not the power inverter. It might seem like a small thing, but it irritates me that a community so invested in technology at a pretty high level still refers to quite old, outdated equipment that doesn't even exist anymore. I hope that helps.
I am just dipping my toes into this field and I have no plans to get them as 'wet' into the engineering side as your videos, but I do appreciate the information in many cases. I also like your approach to video creation.
Thanks for the feedback James.
Very informative!
Glad you liked it!
Dang, I knew you were holding back on the goods 👍 that is going to be a perfect inverter for your solar.
Lol, we’ll see. BTW we totally forgot to cover Skinwalker Ranch 😳
@@TheSmokinApe,I will do a live stream for it if you will be on it.!👽

I need to get a couple inverters, thanks Ape!
Thanks for checking it out Chuck 👍
Voltworks inverter is waiting for you
@@voltworks1819 Did you want to send me one to review for you?
I got the 300W version, it’s unfortunately noisy when used with the cigarette lighter, so I modified it for use with an SLA battery, and it’s pretty quiet now, but I wouldn’t trust it with my radio gear
Yeah, I was and am concerned about radio gear. This got pretty noisy when I fired up the blow dryer! Lol, but being serious I can see it as an issue.
So can it charge a ebike battery thats 48v 10A 500w
What size circuit breaker would you use between the battery and the inverter? I'm using this for LED lights on a UTV /side by side.
Here's a doc that will help figure that out, check page 3: knowledge-center.solaredge.com/sites/kc/files/determining-the-circuit-breaker-size-for-three-phase-inverters.pdf
My 300w says "300w Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter' right next to Bestek on the top face... Seems to be a decent little inverter. Runs a TV just fine.
Hey Gary, they must sell a ton of these because it seems like everyone has them. Thanks for watching 👍
They also make a pure sine wave version for 20 bucks more now.
I saw that, might have to check it out. Thanks for watching Davey 👍
What ia the brand and model of your multimeter/multitester
Aneng AN-8008 there is a link in the description 👍
Tops on the fuses pop off when gently pried from the slot. No need to remove screws, at least not on my inverter. Some outlet receptacles are purposely installed with the ground prong up so as if something thin and conductive falls on it it does not make contact across the hot and neutral blades and short out the system. Safety stuff.
Thanks for the info 👍
What is the appropriate battery size+type that I should buy for my gaming laptop that comes with a 230W adapter
That’s hard to answer, how many volts does the laptop take? Are you wanting to connect the laptop to the battery or inverter? How long do you want to power it for?
@@TheSmokinApe
my laptop take 100-240v I will buy an inverter that convert AC 12v to DC 110V
I want to connect the laptop to the inverter, and the inverter will be connected to the battery to get power from it
It's okay for the battery to work for a very few hours, but I don't want it to get damaged after a few months
Thank you for caring 🌹🌹
A 50Ah lithium will give you about 600wh should be enough for 2 hours
@@TheSmokinApe What if it's a liquid battery
I'm not sure what you mean, like a flooded lead battery? You want at least a deep cycle battery and not a starter battery. I'd stay away from lead, they are heavy and you can only use about 1/2 the rated capacity.
Does this inverter work also by just using the cigarette lighter plug in?
I wouldn’t do that, there’s not enough power in those sockets 👍
出力波形は正弦波ですか?
The model shown at 12:57 is pure sine wave, for ~$65.00. The model tested is modified sine wave (NOT pure sine wave) for ~$45.00. Same manufacturer.

Shnit, I was hoping for smoke.
LOL!
almost nobody need pure sine inverter. they are only needed if you use electric brushed motors. everything people normally uses has switching power supply inside with the first thing on the board being a bridge.
So, you do now it's a curling iron ... :p
Lol 😂
Bestek does not have a clean sine wave under load weak filters
Thanks man
Upside down AC outlets? Are you trying to start a #holywar?
Nope, but they are clearly up not down. Plain as day…
500w!! Those DC leads look as though they will only take 5A. Those Cigarette lighter fittings, often have a spring and fuse inline and they heat up significantly
Thanks for watching Kevin 👍
