    Meal prepping has been life changing for our family. My husband and I both work in retail and our two little guys are remote learning.
    My husband works from the early morning (4am) and I work late mornings to the evening. So having breakfasts and dinners ready to go have been life savers!
    In the fridge right now I have spaghetti casserole, chicken curry, ginger pork burgers, Taco meat, and breakfast sandwiches! Makes me feel good to have it ready to go!

    Sarah, we always poke holes in the meat loaf then pour the sauce on top. It goes in the holes and makes it much juicier. Actually we use soup of any kind that takes your fancy or the tomato sauce.... mushroom is delicious!!

    • @jddo3298
      @jddo3298 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Deidre Cruickshank, my Mom and Grandmother did that as well. Sometimes stuffed a garlic clove in the holes (did that for roasts also). Gran sometimes placed a few strips of bacon atop the meatloaf and OH that kicks it up a few notches! Grew up with Mom's baked chicken breast/thigh recipe using mushroom soup poured over top.That made the gravy for mashed potatoes. Good memories... Family is everything! Thanks for reminding me of the "Holes" so I could rejoice in the memory of cherished loved ones. Deidre, God Bless you Abundantly and Keep you Safe in His Loving Embrace. 🙏 Happy Thanksgiving

    These meal prep vlogs are helpful and inspiring I have a large family as well and I know how hard it is to prep plan and cook meals so I can relate I have 13 kids 7 boys and 6 girls so I know. My oldest is 37 and my youngest is 14 so I guess you can say I’m a veteran I cook big cause that’s all I know how to do but it helps cause my older kids have kids (14 grandkids) and they are all big eaters we try to stay healthy for the most part it’s a struggle but I can honestly say sugar is not a big part and I for one don’t use a lot of salt only when needed but we LOVE vegetables and fruits so that works. Anyway Thanks 🙏 for the vlogs and looking forward to seeing more. 😎🤗👍🙏

      I can attest to the yumminess of the G. Hughs line. I can't have sugar due to health issues and thought I would have to give up BBQ and ketchup forever or deal with a chemical bath of yuck. I really was surprised by how good it was. Our big box stores carry the line and at times they even run out because it is popular. The only complaint that I have is that it is glass bottles and as a large family mom myself that makes me nervous, lol

    Hi Sarah and solo. I've been watching you for awhile. I love your family I just made the vegetarian casserole for dinner. It reminds me very much of a recipe I make often called chicken burrito bowls. It's of Pinterest. Look up chicken burrito bowls in the Insta pot. It's feeds a large family and is a crowd pleaser here with the 4 teen boys.

    Sarah and Solo, I have to tell you - I follow other TH-cam families and your channel is by far my favourite!! I love that you are real and honest and you feed your family real food. The recipes all look delicious but simple. Keep up the great work, your videos are the highlight of my week!! Love from Ontario, Canada

    That’s for sharing all you do. How do you cook your hand boiled eggs and how many can you do at once? Also, would you share your ranch recipe? Could you please also give an idea of how long things can remain in the refrigerator before you cook and how long it is good for after cooking?

    The meals look amazing!! And I know the left overs help out alot for easy lunches for you too. Saves you time.
    Do you do Roasts & veggies in your Crock-Pot? Takes only a few minutes to prepare, & about 5 hours on high. Hope you had a great time with you Aunt & Uncle
    Bless you all! 💞💞🙏🙏💞💞

    We use to eat sauerkraut mostly in fall and winter. A one-pot dish with potatoes, sauerkraut and pineapple. Cook potatoes for 10 minutes, then add the drained sauerkraut on top. Cook for another 10 minutes, then drain this. Mash this all together and add pineapple juice from the can to this. At the and you add the chunks of pineapple. Serve this with meat/fish.

    In Germany (at least in my house 😄) we cook sauerkraut with onion and apple (and a touch of white wine, but that's optional). Sometimes caraway seeds, too. At the end put in a touch of cream. It's less intense that way than american sauerkraut, in my experience (and i prefer it "our" way). All the best!

    For the Apple cider vinegar you can by it by the gallon from anywhere between $2-4 at most grocery stores and at Walmart it is bigger to store but is so much cheaper I get mine from Walmart or farway but my grandmother always bought it at hyvee
