I just absolutely love your attitude. Even when you're frustrated, you handle it with such grace! I hope when I become a mother I will be able be like you! :)
I imagine it's like cooking for a large family gathering for Thanksgiving or Christmas....just all the time. Cole slaw needs a little sugar or sweetener it makes it really great!
I fell into these videos at the beginning of quarantine, they have been so encouraging and uplifting. I've been going back to the earlier videos just watching the kids grow up, listening to the stories, traveling with you all and celebrating birthdays, has made this feel like I've met family for the first time. I've enjoyed it all, and each child is a favorite for their individuality. Sarah and Solo thank you so much.
My daughter visited me and made a good amount of beef freezer meals. Then cooked and shredded a ton of chicken. It’s in freezer bags awaiting chicken meals for easier meal making. Blessed.
in the Caribbean we have 'pelau' which is similar to your pilau. it's made with meat, rice and some type of bean, and it contains a lot of herbs and spices. We start by browning the meat, and then we add the meat to start cooking and develop some colour, then we add herbs (the BASIC herbs we add are thyme, onions, garlic, chives, flavour peppers and sweet peppers) and let those cook together for about 10 minutes and then we add the rice and let that cook until the rice is cooked. This is a staple in the caribbean and in St. Vincent & the Grenadines which is were i am from, it's what most households have for Saturday lunch. Mine is currently on the stove cooking
I love you guys!! I look foward to your videos!! I love having a marathon at night when im in bed at night instead of Netflix or Hulu I watch you lol I have an idea for you it could be for breakfast lunch or dinner really! A breakfast casserole I made it so many times my family loves it and it's hearty so it fills you up and I see u always have most of the ingredients too. Eggs, shredded cheese, bacon, (bacon bits are good too) all you really need is breakfast sausage cut up into pieces. Get a baking dish cook up the bacon and sausage put in the baking dish, scramble 7 or 8 eggs pour on top of bacon and sausage. Sprinkle shredded cheese and then bake in oven on 350 degrees for a half hour...its so good and filling can be used for either of the 3 meals! I hope you get to read this lol I'll be so excited
You & Solo have taught your children well❣️ I don’t know where you would find that many kids/teens that have that much knowledge in the kitchen. I love to watch you all work together and Belle always quietly comes up with something “sweet”, just like her. 😘 You don’t have helpers, you have extra chefs! 🥰♥️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I come from a family of 4 kids, and it’s not as many as 12, but I love having siblings!! You have built in friends for life! I love seeing your big family and the way you all take care of each other! 💕
Absolutely love these food prep videos. I think your ‘D’ sppon is what we in the UK call a dessertspoon and measures 10 grams. Such a pleasure to witness Judah’s enthusiasm. He is a fabulous young man and all of your children are a credit to you both. Thanks and stay safe Jane x
I was hoping to find a comment with someone explaining the “D” measuring spoon. Definitely nothing I’ve heard of here in the US. Thanks for explaining! :)
Hi to you all from Australia some more information re measuring spoons, 2 teaspoons equals 1 dessertspoon, 2 dessert spoons equals 1 tablespoon. I so enjoy following your family and stay safe in this time of the Pandemic 🙏💖😍
cassie rennoldson 5th generation Australian here. We have dessert spoons too but I actually don’t recall many recipes asking for ingredients measure in a dessert spoons.
What a well greased kitchen you run. Everything goes pretty smooth and looks great when done. The kids look good, especially Seth. And I like Solo's goatee. It actually makes him look younger. And Sarah you always look great. A lovely woman and Mom of ten!! Bless you all.
I was thrown off my the man voice coming out of Judah, when did his voice get so grown up? Lol! I'm also loving the goatee on Solo, it's a good look on him :) Another great video, as always!
You and solo are wonderful parent's. The kids are so sweet and they are really good kid's. I love how they help in the kitchen with cooking. My son doesn't like cooking in the kitchen anymore now that he is 13.
Right after they are done cooking. Put them in a sauce pan and put the lid on. Shake them up, until all eggs are cracked. Run some cold water over them. Then pill the eggs ,( start at the top). Thank you for sharing your life with. Stay safe.
Solo I like the new look & I am so thankful to be able to continue to get a sneak peak into your family. I am always grateful for you all, but in these crazy times I appreciate you all more.
I just love your channel. You really inspire me both by your faith and how amazing of a mother you are! I love watching your videos it's helping pass the 50 extra hours I have at home due to not working. By the way you look amazing today girl!
I do not have a large family, but I have been loving your videos. It gives me motivation. If you can cook for 12 I can cook for 3. I also enjoy seeing how your family makes things work.
I love how everyone in the family works together and helps out with the cooking so the mother won't have to do all of the hard work by herself, a family that cooks together stays together and is full of love 💙❤️
To avoid biting into whole dried seasonings...make a ‘bouquet’ of the seasonings by putting them into a disposable paper tea bag or cheese cloth tied with sting. They flavor during the cooking process and then you can fish it out and throw it in the composter
Great idea to share. My husband loves ALL the flavors and he's a gifted one as well! (Me not so much. Ha!) We do these methods as well. It works well. :)
You guys have the perfect family with such well mannered and intelligent children one can see the love which contributes to lovely mannered well rounded children love from South africa
Can I just say, I currently am in a house of 2 , yet I still look forward to watching ur meal prepping videos!! Love love love ur family and how the two of u have made this amazing system and values which keeps everything organised. I'm from Mombasa but live in Dubai, sending u so much love and stay safe ! Watching the kids and Solo join in the cooking is really nice too :)
Have you ever made salmon croquettes? That's a way to make fish stretch and it's delicious! I hope that helps! You can make the patties and freeze them
Yes, we ate them like burgers when we were kids. Break up the baked salmon with a fork than add eggs, bell peppers and onions, salt , pepper, etc. Shape into patties than fry in a little oil
We call them fish cakes in my family. I've used tuna, mackeral, and tuna. We prefer the salmon. My recipe is simple: I dump a can in the food processor (drained mostly), egg, salt and pepper, and either flour (I've used all kind of flour including gluten free and almond flour), or breadcrumbs, and process it till it's finely chopped/pureed, and reaches a consistency that can form a ball. I make patties and lightly pan fry them. It's one of our favorites. I've seen someone use tilapia and I want to try that.
I love your channel. Your family reminds me of my childhood. We were a large blended family with Mom, Step Dad, 11 kids. My Mom took care of us all, cooking, cleaning, reading to us and most of all being a loving, tender Mom. She was a strong women but kind. She put her family first. Her love sustained us all. My Step Dad took on caring for all of us by working and providing a home and food on the table. I realize how blessed I was. By the way I think it’s wonderful how you guys work together to care for the children and each other.
To easily peel a bunch of boiled eggs, try tapping them on the counter to start cracking the shell, then roll them between your palms and the shells just fall off!! Game changer for me
I'm still trying to get used to cooking for only 2 people (my girls are young adults and no longer live at home), and working around difficulties with my stomach issues. I can live vicariously through you and your family. 😆 I miss cooking big meals, and being able to eat what I want, when I want. Thank you so very much. They bring so much joy to my day. 🌸
You wanted to know what other foods used horseradish: Look up Polish food and surrounding countries, Horseradish is a huuuge part of the culture also really strong mustards too!
Pastor and wife and children, thank you very much of being Great role models for us to watch all wrapped in LOVE! You both wear many hats! This cooking is good, especially watching Mrs. Sarah cooking bay scratch and using her instinct for measurements! I given up Family feud for 3 episodes to tune into Faith family food and above all lots of LOVE!
I just watched your brother's TH-cam video on Camp David Adventures, family food challenge. I would love to see your family try the childhood foods from Solo and Sarah. I love both your channels!
Wow, watching you guys doing meal preps & other activities is better than watching a movie. Even better...its real life. Looking forward to more vlogs. God Bless you all, especially the kids.
I enjoy watching you meal prep and grocery videos. Definitely very helpful and inspiring to make our home cooked meals even better and tastier.😊 Thank you and God bless!🤗
You guys are my favorite channel. Don’t know why, but it is. I only have two kids and we are not religious at all. I think it’s because you and solo seem so genuine, and accepting of others. I also love all your extended family in Kenya, Florida, and Colorado! Anyway, I’m glad everyone is still happy and healthy during this crazy pandemic time! 😊
I love your meal prep videos!! I've been meal prepping for a long time for my family of 5 children. Years ago, I was criticized for doing this. I was told I should not meal prep because I should have all the children help every night. In her opinion, I was doing too much for my children. I meal prep to reduce my own mealtime stress and make dinner happen in spite of homework, the kids' activities, etc. Watching you makes me realize I have to do what works for my own family and ignore those who just and share their unsolicited advice. Thank you Sarah!! And thank you for inspiring me to step out of my comfort zone & try new recipes!😆 Fyi.....my kids do chores daily & weekly. Cooking is something I've always enjoyed doing for them...although they are learning how to cook! Episode suggestion: could you edit together cooking all the different sides you serve with your meals? Thanks again for sharing your family with us! Yours is my favorite TH-cam channel!❤
thanks for sharing even something seemingly simple/mundane like meal prep - gives abit of meal inspiration! have just started watching your family for a few weeks and find myself looking forward to new videos and even going through the older ones bit by bit. Thanks for being salt and light, especially during this time :)
Carol Halbert I was thinking the same thing! In that Q&A video he said he just hasn’t shaved with the craziness in their schedule, but it sure looks groomed to me. Maybe he got good feedback and decided to go for it 🧔🏾
I love Ranch Dressing. Use it for a Chip Dip. And on Fish Sticks. Sometimes make Tuna Salad with it. And sometimes pour it on my baked potatoes. 😁😁. A wonderful job here. Love all the help you get when it is prep time. Gives all of you extra time thru out the week. Bless You All!! 💞💞💞💞
I started meal prepping after being inspired by your videos, I followed one of your recipes and when I was done I was shocked of the amount of food i had made. Well, i cooked a meal that feeds your family for only me and my partner :D lovely
You such an awesome family. I love the fact that you Sarah and Solo involve your kids in so many helpful activities they will grow up to be independent very early. Be blessed y'all 💕💕💕 I always watch you a lot will involve myself in more inputs. Solo is from my area kudos.
I soooo enjoy your food prep videos! It always brings a smile to my face. It brings back such wonderful memories of my childhood! I'm number 7 of 8...lol our house was always loud!
Hi my name is fiorella and I just wanted to say you are an a fantastic amazing mom and your husband is a wonderful man you do so well with your children and you feed them so well I come from Italian family and we like to see food great job 🌷
I love seeing all the dinner and breakfast lunch that you make. You need to make a cook book. Because all that food you make it looks delicious. Nice seeing you all. Take care.
I just love all your children little Noel I got a kick out of her eating her salad without a fork. Love watching all your videos. I don't comment all the time because I know you can't read them all. But granny from Kentucky is here hitting that thumbs up all the time for your beautiful family.💙💜💚💛💓❤💕💖💞💝
Gosh I just feel like this family has become like friends. Watching them and how awesome, inspirational and relatable they are is the best!!!
Aren't they wonderful?!
We feel like we have gained a whole lot of friends, too!
Right!!!!
@@macconmara7252 Yessss indeed!!!
The response made my day 😍
Sarah and Solo needs to produce a cookbook 🔥
I second this motion.
I would read it just to see how Solo "measures" things😂😂 puts a half a palm full of something claims it is 1/2 a teaspoon😂
No sugars book..
Agreed
Yes! I would love to have Uncle Gotti’s sauce recipe!
I just absolutely love your attitude. Even when you're frustrated, you handle it with such grace! I hope when I become a mother I will be able be like you! :)
So kind of you to say. Thanks!!
The whole family has great attitudes
Belle just might be the best big sister ever. She's so sweet to all her little siblings.
It takes a whole new skill set to cook for a family of 12! The food definitely looks great. Enjoy your family time and stay blessed 🙌💯🍲🥗
Lol yep .. That's everyday all day
Love your family and these videos , but seriously, Cole slaw and spaghetti sauce need a little sugar ! A little sugar is a good thing ❤️
I imagine it's like cooking for a large family gathering for Thanksgiving or Christmas....just all the time. Cole slaw needs a little sugar or sweetener it makes it really great!
Spaghetti sauce is naturally sweet because of the tomatoes
If you have time to let it cool for a while, grate a couple of carrots up in the sauce. The natural s1ugars will sweeten the sauce as it cooks!
My secret pleasure is watching big families cooking, entertaining and just living.
Love this kind of people.

I'm Kenyan like Solo is, and yours is another version of pilau for sure. Its awesome! Some people add groundnuts or potatoes.
This my favorite meal I'm from Trinidad and Tobago
I'm a tribe of 1, but i really enjoy all of these videos! Such a great family dynamic.

You can NEVER have too much garlic
That's exactly what I was thinking
aturtlethatisred garlic makes me soooo sick, so I cant eat it. It makes your breath smell bad too!
Unless you have heartburn.
I came to say the same thing. No such thing as too much garlic!
Karin Ferdinandus gentle hugs, onion is problematic for me now, so sorry 😥

Maybe Solo can use a “tea ball” or a cheesecloth pouch to cook the spices in with the meat so it is easier to separate after it’s done
Great idea. Thanks!

I love your meal prep videos! Yes shredded cabbage counts! Short cuts work just fine! Take it from a grandma!
I have always ‘hidden’ a grated carrot and zucchini in my spaghetti sauce and my kids have no idea 🤣
I did the same thing too. My kids never knew. If they did no one said anything.
I love seeing all the dinner and breakfast lunch that you make. You need to make a cook book. Because all that food you make it looks delicious. Nice seeing you all. Take care.
Judah's voice got so deep. Lol, random thought. 😅
We ❤️ adding horseradish to hummus or guacamole, & I can’t eat a steak without horseradish (especially a ribeye).
Yum! Definitely trying it on/in those things!!
I agree I use horseradish with mayonnaise for a roast beef sandwich
Love seeing men cook! Also passing good habits onto their sons. Sara nice to see you encouraging your son to prepare dishes.
The spoon starting with a D is a dessert spoon.
Beautiful children they ALL LOOK JUST ALIKE!!!!!!
Is the “D” on the measuring spoon for dollop?
🤷♀️
Our Tribe of Many dessert spoon in eu. It’s a spoon you would eat normally with, not a tea spoon and a bit smaller than a tablespoon.
I love adding a little horseradish to my potato salad. Love this channel!!
