This 2.4T is based off the non truck line, but has almost 50% different parts. The duty cycles, cooling, turbo etc. are all specked higher than in normal passenger cars.
Yes probably beefier internals for longevity and power.. the turbo on this has proper cooling so I’m not even concerned about it. I think Toyota should spend the same thoughts and energy to the v6 turbo that seems to have an internal issue that they overlooked?..
Excellent Video with lots of detail along with descriptions

Good video. The 2.4 turbo is in a lot of Toyota models and is here to stay.
Good stuff here! Thanks for the short and highly informative video
does the turbo require higher octane gasoline?
Regular gasoline
but is it any good
Please make a video about the Mercedes Sprinter, particularly their new 2.0 Turbo Diesel engine.
We'd have to have access to one ;)
Where's the engine? I see nothing but hoses.
Nest of a rat.
Nice look under the hood. Looks like an easy to maintain engine.
Tell us about the manual and automatic transmissions failing.
Its pretty bad. Ik someone in Arizona and it overheated.
