    Once more knocked it out of the park, stunning build with some of the best equipment out there, as you mentioned tuning makes all the difference so hopefully more and more people out there understand this is the vital piece most shops out there lacks. Hopefully soon enough we can show another extreme build tune right by you and the magic it can achieve :) year maybe two :D

I can only dream of having such a system but hopefully one day that may become possible. The only thing I was disappointed with after watching 32 minutes was not being able to hear it in some form as with previous videos of yours there's a demo. Great work though very impressive

    beautiful build as usual Peter - I am blown away by the trunk - I am working out in my head how you did the design (via router I am assuming with a groove bit and some creative guides clamping? :P) you are so right about tuning - I just did a custom build in my golf R and pushed my skills to the next level for install, all due to your videos, and I am very happy with results even though it is far from perfect (I wish I had time to do proper pillars like you but went stock location and 2-way speakers in front) but spent lots of time tuning (was my first time with DSP and tuning - but watched tons of your tuning vids and it really came in handy) and was very happy with results - the tuning made the biggest difference overall in sound quality for sure!!!

    Fantastic build and fantastic channel! I have a previous generation cayenne. I wonder if you had a look is IB midbass even a viable/reasonably doable option in a Cayenne or there is too much wiring and other stuff on the way? I have the Burmester system and it has no midbass whatsoever...

    • @pssound9749
      @pssound9749  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nothing is impossible, but most people wouldn’t spend 50-100h labour on a proper midbass install, let alone letting us cutting the car up. We may do enclosures on the doors for midbass in this one in the future.

    Hey Peter, Beautiful build as always. I'm curious what you thought of the Morel subwoofer? Are they as accurate as they say? Are they worth the $ to you? What would you suggest instead? Other than IB of course. Staying with a 12 in an enclosure.

    • @pssound9749
      @pssound9749  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it is a very very accurate sub. Price is very steep and most people won’t justify it for sure. I hope to hear this sub in 2 of the cars we fitted them in once they run in as below 25Hz i’m not fully satisfied yet, but that may improve once they loosen up.
      For most daily systems i’d rather use something more affordable and something that can have more output from a single 12”, like JL W3, W6 or Focal 30KX. The Morel is rather insensitive.

    • @xshadowthedeathdragon6075
      @xshadowthedeathdragon6075 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@pssound9749 thankx Peter! Have another question regarding ib subwoofer applications. I have a Lexus sedan with a ski hole but no folding rear seat. I want to try an ib subwoofer and was wondering if playing through the rear seat would drastically reduce output? Behind the rear seat is just braced and not completely sealed off. So it would basically just be playing through the seat foam. I would also open the ski hole fully. This vehicle also has a 12in factory subwoofer in the rear deck so could also do a rear package shelf ib system. What do you think would be the best way to go about designing an ib system for this type of setup?

  • @RockAndRollFirebird
    @RockAndRollFirebird ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hello Peter, great work and great stuff you've shared as always. I have one question - if there was an option on this build for a true IB subwoofer (let's say 12" Acoustic Elegance to compare the same sizes) would you prefer it over this closed enclosure build sound wise? I am in the middle of planning a HI-END system like this (component wise) in my Astra combi, have the possibility to go either with a true IB sub solution (in the spare wheel space) or a closed cabinet solution like here on your build and not have decided for a final solution yet. If the true IB sub solution would be far superior to the closed enclosure I would go that route. But if you say both instalation methods are very comparable sound wise, I would probably chose the enclosure. I am here mainly for the sound but this enclosure build looks bloody awesome 😀👍. PS: I will be using 10" front sub in a closed enclosure in the front passengers foot space and 8" mid-basses under the front seats in a true IB as well. Thank you.

    • @pssound9749
      @pssound9749  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, if you have a front sub, then rear IB-sub is the way to go, no chance to get anything close to IB performance with the suitable subwoofer. However, for IB at the back to cover the sub 40Hz range, you want min a 15”, 12” will run out of displacement quicker.

    • @RockAndRollFirebird
      @RockAndRollFirebird ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@pssound9749 Thank you Peter, I am glad you confirmed my thoughts. For the IB sub I will go with the 15" Acoustic Elegance.

  • @rajasekhar9840
    @rajasekhar9840 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @Pssound
    May I know why Accuton Midrange is not used in the stock Dash location for corner loading and if I'm not wrong this is the first time you are using Steg amps and Morel Sub. You said many times Acoustic Elegance subs are the most transparent ones, are SPB 15 not considered for this build? Is morel better than Acoustic elegance SPB15?

    • @pssound9749
      @pssound9749  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Dash location in this one is tiny, you can only fit a tweeter there or a 2” wideband, hence the pillars. SPB would need a huge sealed box or IB. None of those options were doable in this one.
