    I agree with you 1000% about the mainstream definition of protective styles.

      Yeah it’s so helpful to do our own research and listen to our hair when it comes to taking care of it properly

    Your loose natural hair looks marvelous and healthy ❤ I agree with you about certain protective styles that can actually damage natural hair vs. help . You are trying to stay true to who you naturally are . Happy loose natural hair journey, darling. Have so much fun 🎉

    Our natural hair textures look very similar, and it is amazing that the 7 things you mentioned are all things that I either no longer do or will never do. Like you I love my hair texture and have no desire to change it to a looser pattern or straighten it ever again. So, I'm really looking forward to seeing how you manipulate your beautiful strands in their natural state. Great video!!🥰

    I didn’t realize that was like your 3rd set of locs lol. Just scrolled down your channel and 🤯 you’ve had all the styles 😂❤

    Still in the process of taking down my locs - but I also had to make a list of what products I wanted/needed after only using rose water, oil, and shampoo for my locs 🤭It can be a bit overwhelming on what products and treatments to try to get hair back to optimum health!
    I think my go-to style for now will be medium sized twists for the first couple of months until I can strengthen up my scalp to then move on to doing small/medium (shmedium?) plaits (basically box braids but just using my own hair). I'm really tender-headed and cannot stand tight braiding so I'll be doing everything on my own. I wish I could do mini-twists, but because my hair is fine and tightly coiled, it's easy to tangle and loc up (the more stretched, the better for my sanity).
    I'm so excited for your new chapter! I hope you're able to get you hair to the shape that you want and that you enjoy having fun with it 💕

    Just found your channel through this video. 💕 I’m excited for you as you embark on your new hair journey! Your hair is beautiful and so are you. I think once you settle on your technique, especially regarding how and when you detangle, and how you moisturize between wash days, caring for your hair is going to be a breeze. I strictly finger detangle. I find it’s much better for my fine strands. Regarding the shorter vs longer lengths in your hair, mine is the same. I cut the back of my hair a few times, hoping the front would catch up, but it never does. It’s literally just the way my hair grows. So now I just leave it alone cause I want long hair too, and the back is going to get there quicker! 😂 Best wishes going forward! 🥰

      Welcome! Thank you ☺️ yeah I still haven’t decided if I want to cut a bunch off the back or just do it little by little. We’ll see

    I went natural about two years ago. And while it was an interesting journey, I actually feel more confident and happy with my Afro and the different things that my hair can do. I’ve always felt constrained by the perm. But the Afro and natural hair there’s just so much you can do. I will do extensions, but I hate it beyond my shoulders. I think black women are the original pixie cut and our Afros are so beautiful.

      I love this! Our natural hair is so beautiful, more of us need to realize it. Very true, shorter extensions would be more manageable.

    Great. I have also just recently taken down my locs. I got someone else to do it for me but I lost a lot of hair since they were very rough. Best to avoid salons or find a special one that understands caring for natural hair. I will be getting back to locs mid next year and will not make the same mistake of bleaching. I have realised I can't stand the extra bulk and weight from regular braids anymore so I am really in a bind with my 4 inches of uneven 4c hair.

    What a great plan, I follow the same rules. Took my locs out one by one while in college loved it, my length was wild. Love watching your channel. AfricaHairGod has a very nice back to basics hair care playlist for 4c hair he is an amazing stylist out of Atlanta who loves 4c hair. The ConAir brush is dope too, don’t be afraid of light stretching once a month. Textured clip ins are also bomb too.

    After I wash my hair I just twist or braid it, let it air dry and leave it. A trim can be at least every 6 months or twice a year.

    I'd like to loc my hair myself with the understanding that I will one day comb them out. Do you think you managed to retain a lot of length when combing them out vs if you hadn't loc'd them at all.

    • @JOSETTEBIANCA
      @JOSETTEBIANCA  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That’s a good question. I really don’t know, because I haven’t experienced growing my loose natural hair as an adult. We will have to see how much length I retain in like a year compared to in my loc journey.

    Don’t confuse people you really like locs you just want a new set of locs because you made 600 locs and is too much for to handle . That is why you want another set of loc .
