If hair grows 1/2 an inch in a month on an average, that means there are people whose hair grows more than that? Yes?
If your hair grows 1/2 an inch in a month, that is not bad at all.
Kindly focus on retaining length. You can put yourself on a hair challenge (mini braids or mini twists). Alternatively, you can purchase my ebook for my guidance on that ➡️ selar.co/38uk81
    I went 17 months without hair growth products,check it out > th-cam.com/video/vjajyMgIqEs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1-6A-mSYoqlfaVyD

Emphasis on there is no secret product! So true. I can’t tell you how many times i have changed products and I cant credit my retention to just a special product. I can only guarantee that I grew my hair with low manipulation styles🤷🏾‍♀️

Girl for real. When I first went natural, I did a lot and was more focused on hair growth, instead of preserving my length and finding a way to minimize breakage.

What people dont get is that hair is ALWAYS growing. What's hindering hair growth is the ends because people dont take care of the oldest part of the hair. I believe that's why people think their hair isnt growing but dont realize the hair is breaking off at the ends, not the root. Not taking care of the hair leads to breakage, which in turns leads to no length retention. You said it sis 👏🏾. Doesn't matter how much hair grows a month if people dont take care of the hair inside and out.

I usually never comment in any TH-cam videos...but every black girl out there has to know the truth
I started my natural hair journey in 2021 . Back then i used rice water, clove water, rosemary water all sorts of things but i remember not taking care of my hair and always manipulated it back then so i had a growth of just 4 inches in 3 years
On February 2024 i did a big chop ...right now my hair is at 4.5 inches
All i did was put my hair in protective styles for 3-4 weeks ,scalp massages and focused on wash days while properly taking care of my scalp
There is no magical hair growth oil ,no hair growth potion
Just take care of your hair the proper way

As a natural hair content creator,my hair was always manipulated to put hairstyle tutorial on IG I didn't retain much length. But whenever I decide to go on a break,my hair feels healthier and thicker... minimizing breakage is the KEY!

I very much agree I been doing this since my last big chop I literally don’t touch my hair and find that it grows better and breaks less I do very low manipulation style like plaits tmi here but I only wash my hair when my scalp becomes unbearably itchy and only then I do everything good comb out moisturizing clipping if I want to do heat….it’s what’s working best after being disappointed from trying to follow other people routines and having unhealthy hair honestly my hair has never been this thick and soft since I decided to just leave it alone

Your hairstyle frames your beautiful face so well! My hair is mostly in chunky twists and once in a while I wear wash and gos styled with cream only, no gel. I keep cutting my hair every three to four months to maintain the length at bra strap. I find that length to be convenient for my lifestyle. I agree with you that all hair grows, the rate of hair growth is genetic, but length retention is ultimately the pathway to long hair.

My genetics: Thalassemia carrier, Neurodivergent stress, Low vitamin D ( lack of sunlight with melanated skin) and Low ferritin. Things I can't change which means that my hair grows slow and weak so it breaks off easily or falls out from the scalp easily so I don't retain length or hair long enough for it to grow long. I notice that most black people have trauma, stress, unhealthy lifestyles and poor healthcare options so I'm not surprised that no matter the care, the hair doesn't remain on their head.
