standard, single packet, 100mw 2.4ghz is already more than most people need, Radiomaster is really making sure theres no way their signal is dropping out before the video or battery give out XD
Wow Justin this appears to be a real game changer. Like you I have been running crossfire as my tried and true since around 2015. I will continue to run it as my main stay but I most certainly be grabbing one of these. At these prices I'd be a fool not to. Great video.😊
Hey Justin, I just saw one other review of the Nomad system. And was thinking of this in my AR Pro. Thanks for the video and info on the RadioMaster Nomad.
I haven't bought my radio yet. I'm getting the TX16s max m2 and I'm trying to decide between 4 in 1 or ELRS. If I get ELRS, would I still be able to run one of these or should I get the 4 in 1 and add this? Where in the world does one go to learn all this? When you're new to something it's like being dropped off in another country where you don't speak the language. 😅
bump. I’m in the exact same position and have the same question. Do we gain versatility so should get built-in 4-in-1 and the Nomad module? Likely so but being a noob I wonder if that simplistic thinking is overlooking something important?
Hey Justin, we met kitesurfing in OBX 15 years ago. I got into drone racing for a 5 years but haven’t done if for the last 5. CFL FPV was one of my favorite events going back to 2016. My wife and I are also youtubers now with an RV Travel Channel as we have lived full Time in an RV for 5 years. I would love to catch up sometime and get your thoughts on youtube, content, shorts, future YT etc. Larry

(New person) I picked up a used radiomaster tx16s mkii with 4in1 module to fly most used stuff that comes with rx’s. Would this be a good elrs tx to buy, I don’t plan on doing long range stuff but it’s priced similar to all the other ones and seems like it’s the most compatible with supporting both bands for most anything elrs which seems really flexible?
Pretty sick! I honestly think the Ukraine/ Russia war is influencing a lot with fpv.. I’ve been seeing a lot of very odd transmitters lately.. Wierd frequencies and whatnot.
Not to bring up a sad topic but that’s the only thing I can think of NOT to say that this particular unit has anything to do with that but was just thinking about that the other day looking thru eBay and some other sites.
@@chainbenwa2713 In part, but current RC tech is being limited by jamming environments hence the only way to succeed is through fiber optic line comms, which at the same time limits range to 6 miles.
We’ve been using similar equipment on both frequencies for a long time now with same or similar protocols and this isn’t the first system to combine them. It is the best for the price. That’s what’s new but it’s to be expected from this company
Bonjour et merci de la revue. Peut-on rajouter ce module sur la jumper t20 gemini (qui a déjà cela de mise en place de base). Si oui, ce serais optimisé ou concrètement cela ne servirais à rien ? Merci d’avance l’ami
So amazing, can I just unsolder my ELRS receiver and solder this one ? Or is there some BetaFPV configuration please ? From my understanding Crossfire does not do such dual frequencies band ?
Correct. 👍🏻 Crossfire does not have dual band. They don’t have this tech. If your Rx binds and it’s set to CRSF and the tx and Rx wire are right… it should work.
Thank you . I am new to this and on the rc plane side right now but you have saved a ton of wok . Great video.

I want it because its shiny and new. BUT crossfire had never let me down. I fly 20 to 40 miles long rage without failsafes. Its is cool though.
It has taken so much to make
me move on from Crossfire. I’ve been TBS’s longest biggest supporter I swear.

This may finally make me cross over from Tbs and just fly what I have left on it

You’re welcome John. It’s pretty epic imo. Radiomaster has done it again.

Nail in the coffin for Crossfire going forward, time for people to move on if they haven't already.
Wow!

Is this compatible with the regular TX16S (not Mark II)? Or was that just an example list of remotes? I was concerned when I saw that narrow list.
Yeah I'm hoping that was just an example. Not sure why it wouldn't be but may do some digging first
what size is the grid on that mat? looks to be 1cm, but not sure.

I thought FAA rules require drones to be operated within visual range for pilots not specifically certified
no test?
BE HANDY WHEN 15MIN CITIES GET MANDATED
Does this require an FCC license to operate in the US?

What frame will mount this DBR4 board if I’m using an air o3 unit ? Ps I’m a newbie
Anything that has room and can handle a 20x20mm mounting spot for it.
@@dronecamps is there frames that can do that right now ? Since the FC and ESC take up the middle stacks , and the air unit takes up the 20x20 stack
