8 CAD after tax is the cost in Mexico at Autozone. I use these on the Honda's with V6 and they work well with 0-20W oil at 30 degrees Celsius or 86 degrees Fahrenheit. The wall thickness is 0.4mm. I'm sure these are used on a lot of cars that are made in Mexico (Honda, Ford, Mazda, Toyota, Hyundai/KIA). I had the ones made in USA as well and there is no difference in how they are put together (yup, I open them after they are used for 4500 miles / 7250km). I would not call them premium but they are just good filters.
Please do not bang on the table when you record😉. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Ronald, they do work fine for the regular oil changes. May have another one to review very soon.

it is not a bad filter but they need to improve their quality process, I don't like those uneven pleats.

Beware: I used to use Bosch filters all the time along with Wix, Motorcraft and a few others. After an oil change last month with a fresh Bosch 3422, I started getting valvetrain noise on every startup ('94 Ranger pickup). As I suspected, the anti-drainback valve was bad right from the factory. To my surprise, this particular Bosch filter was made in Mexico, not the USA. Whether that's the reason for the failure or not is hard to say. While I know the odds of this happening are generally slim, this screams bad quality control to me. Hence, no more Bosch filters here.

Thanks for the information, feeling is quality control on filters is getting worse. So much penny pinchers with the company's switching hands so much. Surprised we don't just get a rag sealed in a filter yet.🫣

      what are you using now?

@@ljbrandt500 Truthfully, almost anything other than Bosch that ISN'T a $2 cheapo filter. Wix has always served me well, as has Motorcraft, ACDelco, STP, Purolator, etc. That said, this can probably happen to ANY filter, so if you start to hear valve knock on every start after an oil change, suspect a bad ADV and change the filter immediately, like I did.

Bosch has always been in the middle from what I have discovered over the years.
