Yes it is good practice. But in some iPad models, there is no actual connector plug. In this model there is a screw, but needs to lift and loosen the logic board. Which is little complicated for a screen repair. Better work with anti static board to minimize any issues. Some may not agree and some will. Always turn off the device prior to repair.

Tried it, and wish I had paid the $150+ to have a pro do it, and do not recommend even thinking trying this at home. If your screen is cracked, which it most likely is, removing it is much, much harder as it will crack even more and all the glue and tape is crazy hard to remove. All the other stuff is much harder than it looks. Unless you're a pro, just have someone who knows do it, or you'll be like me buying a new iPad now. Grrrr. (otherwise, great video for someone who's good at this sort of thing)
I wish you can fix my screen I clean my tablet this same model with windex and it crack my tablet real bad and I still upset cause I can’t get minds fix and don’t no nobody that do screen replacements in my city of Birmingham Alabama and by the way I love your channel😀

Sorry for the delay.. The issue with iPad screens are very hard to find full originals. But there are good OEM replacements, even in our Uk store has some good ones.. But also you can find in other places too. Just check with them..
@@onewwish4217 Were you repairing? if you got sparked, probably there is an issue with the board. Most likely you have burned some ic's. You need to check with a board-level technician.

Technically all 3 are same. But iPad 9 has two sensors for true tone.. Pretty soon we Will try to get you a video on the compatibility..

Make sure connections are fine, if not something wrong with the replacement unit. You need to install new one to verify it.

You missed a vital step in the repair, sir. You forgot to remove the screw for the battery and didn't block it before undoing the flex
