What about the screen protector on the lcd side? Does it need to be removed?
@Taptic Digital hey dude, the screen works absolutely fine but as soon as i unglue the side ribbons and stick it to the screen, only my half of the screen is responding. i replaced everything and my 1 2 3 number on keypad doestn work :(
The tape cover for the button connector was completely forgotten and it was still sitting by the side when the new screen was mounted :D

Sorry for the delay.. The issue with iPad screens are very hard to find full originals. But there are good OEM replacements, even in our Uk store has some good ones.. But also you can find in other places too. Just check with them..

I've been searching up videos for so long and have not found an answer. Is it possible to make touchscreen digitizers like the iPad Pro 120hz as a touchscreen monitor with the 120hz feature? I haven't gotten an answer but I really need one for 120hz and SPECIFICALLY touchscreen. I play a lot of rhythm games and need faster reaction time when using touchscreen and I need it for PC.

One question, o you not need to interrupt the battery before changing the digitizer?
Yes it is good practice. But in some iPad models, there is no actual connector plug. In this model there is a screw, but needs to lift and loosen the logic board. Which is little complicated for a screen repair. Better work with anti static board to minimize any issues. Some may not agree and some will. Always turn off the device prior to repair.
If the lcd screen still works and responds to touch fine but the glass is shattered can you just replace the glass or do you have to replace the digitizer too?
Well, Digitizer and glass come together. Unlike most of the new iPad, this is not a LCD and Touch Assembly. So you can easily replace the touch digitizer glass.

Make sure connections are fine, if not something wrong with the replacement unit. You need to install new one to verify it.

Why you didn’t take the screw out that’s holding the battery in?
Well yes it is good if you can undo, but it may not disconnect the battery from the board. Still the pins can holds together unless you raise the board.
What heating pad are you using and what temperature?
ABout 80-100c will be good...

Technically all 3 are same. But iPad 9 has two sensors for true tone.. Pretty soon we Will try to get you a video on the compatibility..

you mean charging cable right? was it a original cable?

@@onewwish4217 Were you repairing? if you got sparked, probably there is an issue with the board. Most likely you have burned some ic's. You need to check with a board-level technician.

@@DIYGeardo the whole thing. it kept ghost touching so i sent it back due to a defect with the screen
and the calibration is off center
so how much does it cost to replace? for ipad 9 LCD screen, its just the glass thats broken, everyhting else is fine.
The glass is around $20-30, repair charge will depend on the location
You missed a vital step in the repair, sir. You forgot to remove the screw for the battery and didn't block it before undoing the flex
