    I've watched close to a dozen other videos on this subject - this is the best. Just successfully completed the repair on an Gen 8. Great job. Thanks!

    Not sure what "primer" is used for the placement of the long flex home button cable?

    • @profixerr6275

      Same as for the bracket
      Tesa primer or 3m primer 94 work great! Links in the description!

    What Tesa tape did you use for adhering the home button bracket down?

    I followed all your instructions and successfully replaced the broken screen on my son's school iPad. I transferred the home button using the detailed steps in your other video and it works! VERY IMPORTANT: all the necessary quality tools and replacement parts have a link in the description (some links are broken) but the search features on the different websites are useful. Keep up the great work! You are a pro, an amazing teacher and great with the camera to show the tiny details. Thanks again! BTW, I love the bottle with the needle tip. Do you have a link for that too? The quality must be decent if you use it for acetone.

    Nope. I fucked this up within the first 4 minutes of following along. Home button flex cable got cut while prying the shattered screen out. Kudos for the great video and congrats to everyone who succeeded - but this repair isn't for the regular Dads out there. It's **exceedingly** difficult.

    Be super careful on the right side when you’re first removing the screen, you don’t want to cut the flex cable of the home button like I did by mistake.

    Ok my Ipad digitizer doesn’t work! So I thought that it was a bug or a glitch because it was working fine the day before so i reset it then i updated it via a laptop and iTunes. None of this worked so I then went on to restore the Ipad that didn’t work. I found this video followed it thinking it must just be a dead screen and did a test fit and the screen still doesn’t work. this is not the first Ipad to do this to me. I have replaced loads of kindle screens for the kids and haven’t had half as much issues with them. Ipad although they seem to have a nice aluminium back i don’t think apple products are that great anymore. The ipad minis 2nd gen i have had worked fine but the 7th gen seems to be NOT very good really.
    Someone once said to me, having issues with windows? The best fix is to install Linux
    So I will say this having troubles with Ipad buy a branded android tablet

    I thought I did a good job fixing my daughters ipad but the corner, where the connectors tuck up under popped up...So I just used packing tape and taped it back down and put her case back on and she's none the wiser. Problem solved, for now..lol

    Very detailed and informative, perhaps the most professional video I’ve seen! However, can you do another video like this, perhaps on an 8th generation A2270 and edit out your hair (looks great though) some details are hard to see without the ceiling camera angle. You have great teaching skills, I appreciate that you don’t leave any details out also FULL videos and no time lapse 😊

    I hope you can answer this question for me, I did the screen repair, the ipad was working fine, but as soon as I finished it, the Ipad is stuck with the red battery light and no amount of charging is doing anything, and for some reason I can't set the ipad in to DFU mode..... do you have any idea what this could be?

    I accidentally pried off the connector from the motherboard so the home button has nothing to plug into. It’s stuck on the other end of the home button flex… There are just two prongs on the board where the connector should be… can this be fixed? I need a new home button connector attached to my motherboard. Thanks

    Hello sir
    I was never an Apple fan....but last year when I felt a need for a tablet ...despite the urge to get better value for my money in the form of Samsung tabs...I went for hardware quality and durability that Apple offers.
    But I. Am disappointed my iPad Air 3 is facing screen issues...where I press any button or open folio to wake this up, display backlight will turn on but screen will show nothing. While connecting the charger and taking screenshot [home plus power] I can hear the sound.
    Don’t know what to do...I don’t have Apple care plus and now I am skeptical to go for repair at Apple as that would cost me the price of new Apple iPad.
    I have exams next month and this device has screwed me, as it has all my notes.
    Can someone provide a solution plz.
    Is it hardware or software issue....cuz it happens 2-3 times a day...and sometimes it lasts for hours together..in between the display works fine without a glitch.
    And yes there was no physical damage ...Don’t know where did it cropped up.

      @Ciso_diagnostics 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your Apple device could be under warranty by Apple. As long is it doesn’t have any physical damage on the screen or frame of the iPad, I would recommend to go to Apple, or even text Apple.

    I replaced my digitizer but my screen is now ghosting insanely bad. I haven't closed it up thankfully yet. Could the digitizer just be faulty? The two cables are connected, but they didn't "click" in, just kinda sits there. I've seen elsewhere if the cables aren't flush with the iPad then that could also be the problem. I haven't messed with it any since I'm at work right now. Any thoughts?

    • @cellworx
      @cellworx 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In this case you would definitely want to reconnect the digitizer flex cables to be sure they are seated properly. If the issue continues you'd want to try a new digitizer. If it still continues, its likely that there was a component damaged somewhere in the process and it would require microsoldering for repair.
