Thank you so much for you very detailed video with NO skips, edits or anything else like that. I just finished my iPad for the first time ever I was so scared and nervous. Thank you again for helping me fix my iPad you are amazing
Excellent video! I have done earlier versions of iPad screen repairs. Great tip about adding adding additional double stick tape even though touch screen came with adhesive!
You skipped the very important step of aligning the digitizer cables by folding the stick tape inside the touch screen, which properly presents the 2 attached cable connectors for insertion into the main board receptors.
Thank you for the video, I followed along and didn't manage to break the Ipad! One question. Mine is having the "ghost touch" issue, touching things on its own. It's so bad it automatically enters random pass codes and the ipad locks me out for multiple failed attempts at login. Any fixes??
Just follow your video step-by-step and everything seemed to go smooth however when I went to power back on the iPad nothing happened. I checked at the battery connection is intact also the LCD screen is connected. Is there anything else I might be missing?
Really good and explained video. I have a question. Why is the replaced screen grey when turned off and the original screen is all black. And also it’s more like a mirror effect on the replaced one. Is this normal
Thank ror this video, it really helped but I have one issue on mines. This is the second screen I had to buy and for some reason, the internal screen doesn't want to power on. Should I be concerned and start looking for a newer one?
@@dontfoegettoprayyou will have to replace it with original one if you want the fingerprint to work, so if you keep the one that it came with the fingerprint won’t work.
Hi there. Great video. Where do you purchase your replacement digitizer from? Yours doesn't have that flap on the side of the screen where the connection is. All the replacements I've seen online come with that bulky flap that need to be tucked under the lid screen. Can you help with where to get these flapless digitizers?
age 76. Even with current prescription reading glasses, still have a problem with seeing the very tedious removal of glass shards and adhesive. Then cleaning & installing details to repair ipads and iphones grandchildren keep me busy repairing. I was looking a buying a magnifier/lighted work station with screen from Amazon. Any recommendations?
@@UbergeeksBiz I have one of these, but can't keep the project in focus. I was thinking more in line of the device you have pictured beginning of this video. I would expect it will be out of my price range and not a sensible investment for only occasional repairs. I did check on a couple types Amazon around 150 dollars. Do not know if these are any better than the 5X type you just recommended. thank you..
Another great video thanks for sharing and I subscribed and have learned a lot from you thank you And for the glue under the LCD I think it’s there just to aid in shock resistance in case screw holes are to big it keeps the screen from jarring if it’s dropped
I have done this twice, my digitizer is malfunctioning, half works half doesn't. Its actually blocked my ipad 8, as when I type the password, it types all the numbers and disables the ipad. I bought a new digitizer, did it again. Same issue. Please advise?
You have damaged the connector when doing the digitiser yourself. The FPC connector will need replacing more than likely. Have a look at the pins under a magnifying glass or scope
@@UbergeeksBiz I switched to another’s video to get more tips and forgot you mentioned to watch out there. Worse when I was disconnecting the home button from the motherboard the connector ripped off. 🤦🏻♂️ I’m giving up and getting an Amazon fire hd 10 plus… will cost less then getting it fixed. Done digitizer replacement before but never this shattered. 😖

very well done, I did mine while you were doing yours. Works like a new one. Keep up the good work.

Well explained 👏 I did my daughter's iPad followed the directions to the tee. Came out perfect. It really helped me out. Thanks
Thank you extremley helpful & detailed. Gives me the confidence to want to do it myself.

My 9 year old thanks you for showing me how to do this!
I think the glue/sticky rubber under the lcd may act as a absorber to relieve impacts.
Best video for fixing a2270
Dont watch other video, they will mislead you.. only this one shows all process not skipping anything
need to see how button connector connects to mb... still gave thumbs up tho... appreciate your video
Could you tell me, what will be the distance of LCD screen (pixels) from the top? need to know for my science project. Forgive my ignorance here.
great video! What temperature did you use to heat the glue initially?

I believe those screws are to keep the inside of Digitizer ribbon cable from Grounding to screws

You can while removing the broken glass
Great video!! helped a lot. The glue for the bracket has to be that special Loctite gel Control or can be like lcd glue B-7000?

If touch screen is damaged, LCD screen will still turns on. If LCD not turning on, you have damaged LCD screen
I can’t get the screws undone at the bottom

The button works but touchID won't
I accidentally cut the cable for the home button
Definitely the glue is there to make it difficult
