Third time I’ve seen this review. Love the new text layout and I have the old also. I would like to see an premiere addition even though I’m 66 years old. Thanks for your review.

Patiently waiting for a Primer Collection edition of this. Great thorough review. Would love to see more new releases from you in 2025.

I just purchased this Bible and the KJV equivalent by the same publisher. It's an excellent Bible all round. Thanks for the very thorough detailed review. Only suggestion I could make eould be to turn the pages slower and gently. I would hate to see one of those beautiful pages torn. And besides, we aren't going anywhere so take your time.

Remember when I first saw this review. I did not have the money at the time to purchase one. I have the original Open Bible in The New American Standard handysize genuine leather which I love. The other day you posted a link on everything Bibles for the Open Bible on sale in the King James for $26 I immediately went and purchased one for that price. My patient paid off I'm so grateful that I waited until I could afford it it should arrive any day now in the mail. Again thank you for keeping us abreast of the latest sales and being on point for all of us

Still waiting on that Premier Edition of the Open Bible. That, honestly is my only complaint with Thomas Nelson on this bible. Please make this in a Premium format. Thanks.

Nelson makes really great Bibles. I bought three of them since October. One is a premium Bible,...my first one...and it is lovely..Thd other two are covered in Leathersoft, snd they are great Bibles. I am not hard on my books...although I write and mark in them... so I think they will last a long time.
Could you please define an open Bible, please?

Late to the video, but if someone happens to see this, how is a 9 point font "comfort print"? The more recent reviews I have been watching in 2020 have comfort print as 10 point to 10.5 point font size. I just purchased a NKJV Study Bible that has 10.5 point font and the notes are at 9 point. Very curious. My newest KJV Study Bible I purchased in large print (12 point) so I'm not trying to include that difference in print size because I understand that I intentionally ordered Large Print! But, to my eyes, 9 point font is not "comfort print". At least in 2020!

@@qwertyuioppoiuytrewq1199 I don't know, the Cameo is the only leather edition with the apocrypha that I've come across.

But with ribs I can't fold it in half😁
Just made a video on mine doing that, its actually pretty cool like the old Tubular© design Thompson Chains. Nelson didn't design it to do that but I'm doing it with mine cause the spine just wants to go that way. The spine has zero backing to keep it firm not sure if mine is different but for me its just easier than fighting that silly thing.
I agree brother a premium edition would be great and a large print and ribs😉 , its easy to read but that font is pretty tiny.

Is it just me or the pages do the same noise the old LCBP did as the pages were too tight on the spine? I just got mine and the pages are so tight in the gutter that I thought of LCBP effect, hahaha!

External ribs would only raise the selling price point which would lose customers. Bible publishers operate on a. profit, same as secular book publishers.

Nice bibles but beware. They list bibles as comfort print and that is not the size of the fonts, that is the type of print they use and they are printed in China, which is very misleading especially when Amazon doesn't tell you what size the fonts are.

So im guessing NKJV is a more popular translation than kjv is why they did nkjv first. From what I can tell KJV comes out in August. Cant wait. My old open bible kinda fell apart and they have only had hardback copies printed. Been using Thompson since then and its a great bible but kinda miss the open bible. Thompsons have a great system but somehow arent great at printing.

No, not really. Thomas Nelson owns the NKJV translation, it's "their translation" if you want to look at it from that angle. Thomas Nelson commissioned the translating of the NKJV Bible, so more often than not anything they do will be done in the NKJV first. Hope that answers the question.

The Best version of The Open Bible was the NASB but Thomas-Nelson somehow lost the copyright to the NASB, I wish I still had one. After 15 years of studying the Bible and owning many Study Bibles in that Time . This is still one of the best reference Bibles out there. The Topical index and the Surveys in front of each Book are just awesome and the actual Scripture text isn't cluttered with commentary . It Uses more of an inductive method which is described in the Front of bible itself. The Cross-Referencing method of "Scripture witnessing to scripture" rather than relying on commentaries or theological interpretations. Great for Christian Vets and New. Basic stuff like the Temple and all covenants are covered and were they are found in Scripture Not theological interpretations of them

You say?...."The deity of Christ is connected to the Trinity?? where is that in the Bible?" It is not doctrinal. Jesus is the Son of God, not God. "One God One Lord" not three gods. 1 Cor. 8:6. I never buy bibles with study material in it. It is so Biased.
