Here's a little motivation for some people I was one of the weaker students in truck driving school but some students were better than me and top in the class failed the final test but I didn't fail and it wasn't because I was better it was because I worked harder than them...when one of my instructors ask if anyone wanted to come in for one on one help Fridays because we didn't have class on Fridays I was the only one who came...so the only thing that will secure your success is determination...now fast forward to today 4 years later I'm at the peak of my career making 94k a year at FedEx ground...so if I can do it so can you if you want it bad enough good luck in school

If you know it without the truck being in your face, you’ll know it when it is in your face.
I start CDL school in about 2 weeks and I was beginning to get a little nervous but this video was right on time. I think for me the biggest takeaway is to not compare my process to others along this journey. Everyone's route is different but the destination is the same. Thanks for the info and encouragement.

I just got home this morning. After 3 weeks I can say that I want to go for it, but I'm scared. I was not a good student growing up. I defeated myself mentally all the time assuming I couldn't do something. I don't want to live this way anymore. Thank you for all you said here. I really appreciate it!!!
I have seen students 60+ who just got their CDL so it’s never too late! If you have the will to do it I say you should go for it! It doesn’t matter how long it takes because after CDL school, all of our licenses are exactly the same regardless of how we did in school! Best of luck to you
I'm glad I came across this. I started school on Aug. 29th and I had a frustrated day already but I got my self together and was able to get my straight backing done. I know I will have more frustrating days but I'm determined to get my CDL and will. Everything you said I felt like you were talking to me. Great info and inspiration.
Been holding my CLASS B CDL for a while. Just got my CLASS A LEARNERS TODAY. Hope I have some patient instructors FORREAL man. Imma take as much time as I need cuz I ain't about to rush through, get out there on the road and be messing up bad. Imma take in everything those instructors tell me.
Very positive advice. I have a strong tendency to be my own worst enemy, and can get frustrated easily. Be calm, be patient is great advice. Have a touch of OCD so I beat myself up for making mistakes instead of properly learning from them right off the bat. Backing up has got to be one of my 5 greatest fears of CDL training. Have done it with an RV, but the size difference throws me a lil. Your confidence is infectious, it does help, TY Sir! Subscribed and listening to you intently.

Started CDL school November 28th got to the classroom got my learner's permit with my tanker endorsement just started yard skills last night started with straight line backing I don't think I did terrible for my first time and even my instructors telling me everybody did really good for the first time and I really appreciate your video cuz everything you just touched on is how I'm feeling also I'd like to point out there are a lot of people in school and we do have to share trucks and sometimes personalities don't line up either but I'm doing my best just to stay focused thank you for all the tips information and sharing your experiences it is extremely helpful

Thank you for this video. I am going to cdl school in a couple weeks with PAM transport. I am very nervous as iv never driven anything bigger than a sprinter van lol. I am up for the challenege but also super nervous as i feel maybe i will be the least experienced in the group
20yrs experience driving big commercial vehicles. Go rent a 26' box truck with air brakes from Ryder for 3 days and get yourself use to driving a big vehicle. Gets some cones and practice backing in a empty lot big enough to maneuver the truck easily. Pre trip the truck. Go out on the expressway!! Its the same vehicle just in a different format. remove the box and shorten the frame its a single axle tractor.
@@GeneWheel yea it is. In high winds it handles just like a tractor trailer. Its maneuverability isn't as good as a single axle with a pup trailer. It can be hard to back into a dock especially if you have (2) 53s next to you on both sides. It cost about 300 to rent the truck but it will give you a wealth of knowledge information and confidence.
You deserve more subs man. I’m looking into getting into trucking, but I’m aiming for being home daily, with great pay. Ik that can’t happen until I get experience, and your video explaining the best trucking companies for noobs really helped me thank you man.

I WENT TO CR ENGLAND SCOOL AND THE LITTLE GROUPS WERE VERY ANOYING . AND THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WAS VERY DIFFERENT FOR ME .I WAS SO USED TO A 13 SPEED TRANSMISSION THAT I HAD A HARD TIME WITH MY ONE FOOT FOR THE BRAKE AND THE GAS I ALWAYS USED TWO FEET
Here's how you prepare. Save the 4000 and pay for it yourself. These megacarriers charge you 9k and they don't teach you a manual. Without that manual you ain't gonna be working near your home.

Some instructors will be more patient than others but either way just remember that’s it’s a temporary situation and patience is key!
