Your state DOT(transportation maintenance department has the elearning academy for the bookwork. It is 100% free, once you complete the modules and take the test elearning test its posted in approx 48 hours onto the FMCSA. Then get your permit. then find a BTW trainer ,train and test out. Overall cost if all out of pocket will be $2500 or less, much less if you use your state WOIWA funds, through your county Job and Family Services. At worst if the government pays your course, then you will be just about guaranteed to pass your cdl, and have your theory training already on the books.
Go to cdl school, meet Class A students, get their contact information or add them on social media, make a team and be millionaires in less than 5 years
Thank you! It's exactly the information I had been searching for! Because there isn't anything said about "CDL School" in the Regulation but only said about "CDL Theory and BTW training" plus that the training must be provided by a certificated trainer. It's All! NO CDL SCHOOL AT ALL! I've already passed my CDL Theory on-line course which is registered by FMCSA. I've got my CPL too. All that costed me $100 in total. Plus medical exam $75. Then I sent a request to DMS for further explanation because I FELT that CDL Schools lie that all students need their sevice. So that schools only want to earn. So it's a GOOD way to save money!
Definitely watched your video yesterday ordered the eldt package for 50$ I already have my cdl b permit and air brakes I started doing the package lastnite finished this morning passed with flying colors…..yes it’s a long package but very easy and too the point…..remind you guys this is the eldt theory part after you do this you have to take the btw/ behind the wheel part and you are officially certified easy….thanks guys..psa truth be told if this video go viral this will help a lot of ppl save money by taking these proper steps yourself
What I think is BS is, I drove for 8 years in the army, on US roadways, and was trained by the federal government/ army, but when I got out, don’t have anything. I think it’s silly.
In FL you can get the Elite FMCSA course for 250 and you get a cert provided to the state. Then you can find a cdl road test location. I found some for $250 for just the road test. If you got experience you should be able to get your CDL for about $500. Check your area and see if it's the same. This whole CDL is a pain if I'm trying to work during the day.
My dream job is a truck driver, Is it possible i can bscome a truck driver right after high school? (After i guaduate high school) right now 2023 im in the 8th gade
So help me out with a question I have, I'm already driving non cdl straight trucks, want to get my class B, if I get ELDT Certification, how would I then do the driver portion or road test in order to complete my ELDT"?
Can we talk more about being a provider? I’m currently pending (just want to get my son in trucking world without school) So as a driver myself I can essentially “sign off” saying he can drive and he can get his class A?
The issue I am having is that I had my CDL-A I let it go and now I’m trying to get it back, and Texas DPS office said I just have to take the written and driving test again. In order to take a driving test I would need a truck which is hard to get without having a lot of money, about the same as it cost for school.
I'm in the same situation. Hard to think of any other profession where you loose all your credentials and start all over from scratch. Did my training back in 94 and drove t t railers for two decades.
@@Travelinplaces Road Master is $7,400. I am doing it in San Antonio Texas as it is the closest one to where I live, they have changed a lot for the PTI and maneuvers, I would get the CDL manual and start studying the inspection information. In the Texas CDL manual they have everything you need for the PTI listed in the area that says inspection/inspect: they will start with bullet points. ( • )
No one is going to get "certified" to teach you to drive...video is VERY MISLEADING!!!! Very shifty video. Too many of these edlt people pitching a "theory course to make $$$. Forget the separate theory garbage course ....just have to go to school these days.
Appreciate the comment... but you're TOTALLY unqualified to say what "no one" is going to do boss! it's past arrogant to think you know EVERYONE'S situation.
@TheHelpfulTrucker in missouri it's required to go to school 1 week in class the 1 week pre trip 2 weeks learning the trucks in my honest opinion...a month is not enough time.i went to roadmaster here in st.louis I couldn't complete because of personal reasons.
Roadmaster is garbage...best go to a community college..they are the cheapest generally around $2500 for a 8 week program...and if you can't afford that, company CDL training might work...but you end up paying a year of your life for the convenience.@@NoRevengeNeeded
As a CDL examiner and trainer I can tell you that the average experienced truck driver has no idea how to teach nor what to teach a prospective CDL applicant.
Yeah, the pay in some areas is fantastic but hard to get more than 20 hours a week unless you're willing to have a wonky schedule doing field trips, etc. The next issue is the kids and how bad they are. As a parent who has been dealing with bullies on the bus and having heard the stories from my kids on how the other kids treat the driver, I wouldn't ever drive a school bus. There is a reason for such a shortage. Now should the pay jump to $40 an hour or more, and someone could easily live off the low hours that most drivers experiance, then I might think about it. Also sucks to have a split shift every day.
Hey Chris how’s it work in Florida? I’m Wanting to get my cdl my buddy has his own truck and is willing to show me but I don’t want to go to a big school and spend thousands
@Touchcheeks dmv you take the test of which license you need and either u join a school to get your full cdl which is the driving course or someone is qualified to show you and is an instructor so you can get the driving done ..

I found this to be the most helpful video. Your comment as well. How long did it take you to get your cdlp doing it online?
👋 can you describe what was the result of this? You had to end up going to cdl school 😮😅 or you still don't have your cdl?
This is exactly the content im looking for. Want to find the best option for me, not the schools bank account
Thanks Helpful Trucker. More information we were uninformed about. We appreciate your efforts in giving us valuable content.
These types of interviews are HELPFUL.

Many cdl schools offer credits for soldiers with a trucking mos and many other benifits.

Yes
Having a CDL you still need training to become a solo driver... also you need 2 years Driving Experience... before 90% of the carriers will hire you.
Packed with high-quality knowledge. Thx for sharing.
I'm very curious 🤔 because ive drove log trucks since I was 15 in the woods but ive never had my cdl? Can I go take the test without going to school?
nope... you have to get training from a certified training provider

Nobody falls asleep learning important information.
Let me introduce myself lol😂
Appreciate that!
Yea okay have you watch or been at a six hour lecture

Wow so is there someone here in GA willing to train me
This is The One my boy, don't have time to School....

Need training. Can you help?
Can you do that in any state ? I live in illinois
Me too !
We do not need any more under-qualified truckers on the road... truck driving is not a amusement park Thrill Ride.

For the algorithm

Don't believe you. If you have a accident, the school or the person cound be held responsible. Schools has insurance, individual individual Don't .

I want to get started in getting my class A license but I'm not entirely sure where to start and who to go to
Same here.
Have you gotten any further making a decision?
You prolly already started but if you ain’t yet I can tell you 3 apps that will help you pass the tests
Not completely true school bus needs a licensed instructor
So how does the instructor upload the skills n road results so i can be ready to get my real cdl?
sorry, im not sure how that part works
Wow
