If you did not know about this, then you probably do not know about the Ganzo bit driver. Most Ganzo multi-tools, as well as other off-brand tools, come with a bit adapter, and standard 1/4" bits. This fits on a ton of multi-tools: Leatherman Rebar, ST300, Core, Blast, Fuse, Juice, and all others that have the square shank Phillips Gerber MP600, MP400, Legend 700, Legend 800, Truss, Suspension Nxt Ganzo multi-tools with square shank Roxon Storm Workpro HD CRKT Tool Buck X-Tract Piranha multi-tool Magnelex multi-tools If you want to use common bits with a multi-tool, this is a great option.
wow thanks alot for this the ganzo multi tool is cheaper than the Leatherman bit driver set, i just want the bit driver for my supertool 300 to extend its uses
Paid 30 freaking Euros for this little piece of metal. Really feel ripped off, but it just completes the Rebar as a package for me. Just sad, that Leatherman is so greedy.
I have the bit kit and extension for my Wave. Never really knew it existed until 2 years ago. Have the Leatherman Wave on my belt everyday and even @ Home. Never leave home without it.
Thanks a lot. I am using that adapter tool for about 8 months or so with the new Leatherman Super Tool 300 and it works fine. My old Super Tool works as well, but the adapter does not “stick” enough, it falls off. I found myself ordering the double standard bit holders in addition to have more options. This is somewhat of an overkill, but I love the Super Tool 300 on my belt, even if the belt needs to carry some weight. Keep up the good work (1C15:54-58). God bless.
Didn't regret getting this to supplement my rebar, gives me a lot more options for usage. Stored the rebar and the kit in a Hazard 4 Koala pouch. Both fits super-well in it and great carry around.
Gideon, some extra info for you...that exchanger will work with the 58mm Vic Philips combo tool (loaded Diagonally). It will also work with the initial PST as well! all you have to do is slot it onto the medium flat head. That opens up like...all the tools practically.
I just ordered this today from leatherman along with a sheath to carry the bits and multitool. I just picked up the supertool and retired my Gerber 600 . Man the quality of the Supertool is awesome.
Man got say this is awesome, when i need my multitool i always go for my wave because i don’t have a driver on my 300, im going to buying it right now, Thanks!!!!
They sent me this kit with a crunch and I payed extra for the combo. It came with a leather sheath but the sheath wouldn't accommodate the bit set. The driver will work with the Phillips head on the crunch but it's kinda loose fitting.
Excellent review! Although pricey, it has made my ST300 a more versatile tool since it helps me carry the bits needed in a very compact package (I swap as-needed bits from my Wave's 21 bit kit); it also comes in black oxide, and works seamlessly with my three Gerber MP600. The driver also helps protect the tips of the tools' drivers (except the large flatheads which are are used as mini prybars!). Thanks for the review of my favorite accessory!
@@jasonmiller9495 , I would think so, just have not tried it. I know that Ganzo's also work in both Leatherman's and Gerber's Phillips driver so, the Gerber Tool Kit should work.
@@jasonmiller9495 , you did good! It gives you 10 drivers vs. 9 for the Gerber, and still has the ability to work with regular bits; the card even has spaces for two more double or regular bits. Good choice!
Hey gideon supposedly you can fit some hex bits into the spaces next to the actual tool. Can you show how they fit and how many because I've been looking at this but cant find someone who has addressed it and showed this feature. Thank you!
Last Sept. I picked up the Leatherman Charge TTi along with the silver bit driver extender. Then I added the 21 piece double ended bit kit the bit kit with the extender fits rather nicely in the sheath that the Charge came in. I leave it in my pistol range bag. I'm always using the Leatherman in the field.
New subscriber here, really enjoying your videos. I have a Kick that I bought new, several years ago. Until today, I didn’t know this bit driver existed. Just found one and it’s on the way. Great accessory. Thanks for the info.
At around $20 the extension kit comes to about four bucks per bit or since they are two-sided it comes to two bucks for each end. I have the 21 bit accessory kit that works with my Wave and Surge; at $24 it comes to $1.48 per bit or less than 60¢ for each of the 42 ends. Plus, you have the convenience of not caring around dozens of screwdrivers in your pocket.
I realize that I'm 3 years late to this video, but it just showed up. You ask how could you not see this? Basically, you had blinders on. That's not necessarily bad. It's just that it is easy to be so focused on something, that we miss what is outside our immediate field of vision. For the Bit Driver - it works well with my Leatherman Surge. But, it also works perfectly well with my Gerber MP600 and many of my SAKs. Anyway, that's my 2 cents worth. Good video - thanks for posting.
Mister, you’re going to love the new Leatherman for 2019. The new line FREE with magnets are great. I hope you can make a video in a few months. See you.
What annoys me is that Leatherman decided to change(flatten/widen) the Philips screwdriver on the Wingman, Sidekick and newer Free P2&P4 models so this removable bit driver won't work on them at all. So then why hasn't Leatherman made a new version of this removable bit driver to fit the newer flatter/wider Philips screwdriver?
So much intel & I m stuck in late 70's early 80's feel like the Caveman fm geico still using my GI issue PST & bought a PST2 on my own bout as advanced as I can gow/o a brain cramp!
5 years later - This bit extension is $25 on the Leatherman website (not available on Amazon), plus $20 for a sheath with pockets, plus $6 shipping, plus tax (the shipping is taxed too) = $55 - without the sheath, $35.50 - I'd like to have it but I'll pass. Thanks for the video.
Really, is it secure and is the attachment without slop or play? This is the only thing that's gave me pause on buying the P4. They really did a swing and a miss by not promoting it as adapter friendly, which is true for many Leatherman tools.
Fuck me mate I can buy one and a half kilos of Italian Lavazza coffee for that money, it will last me a month and I drink 6-8 cups a day. You are getting ripped off in USA.

Is it worth it? Im considering getting it for my rebar too
I gave my father my Juice when I got my Wave+, and I’m considering getting one of these to give him. Thanks for the video! Helped to get more info.
Would that kit fit on the driver of an original leatherman tool (the „oldschool“ one😉)?

Can i use that on the Phillips head of the Rev and sidekick too??

Does this fit the sidekick
Is there any way to adapt this for a surge?
Is that compatible with the free series?
I shaved down the phillips on my P4 to accept that adapter

I had no idea!! Might drop $40 for my rebar and ST300
UPDATE! Just picked this up for my Leatherman Blast. Win
👍
Great review. Thanks.
Does this work on the versions of the rebar that are sold now
It has to be the 3D Phillips driver. Like you see on the super tool 300 or the core
Is this compatible with the Leatherman P4?
Is this still avaliable for purchase?
Oh yeah. Amazon.
Couldn't find it!
Check the Leatherman website
Thanks for the review! I was thinking of getting it for my Wave but seeing that it’s not compatible, I might look to add it to my Super Tool 300.
It would be worth the $20 if it came with a universal pouch the would fit those multi tools. I'd pay $30 for something like that.
@SavageSurvival that is something that I have been wanting to learn too. Just need to find some good info on it.
I heard about it, but this was the most informative vid about it. Thanks

@2:40 even the toddler says couldnt you just use a screw gun? Smart kid knows a gimmick.
I have heard rumors of a ratchet for the surge. Cant find it
If more MT's came with pocket clips that would be ideal.
Some sort of drill attatchment could be awsome for bushcrafting!! Thx for this vid
If you have a 1/4" hex bit adaptor, it's easy to find hex shank drill bits for use in cordless screwdrivers, so this is definitely doable.
Now they just need an adapter for the FREEs
Can I actually use this part with the Free P4?
Really, is it secure and is the attachment without slop or play? This is the only thing that's gave me pause on buying the P4. They really did a swing and a miss by not promoting it as adapter friendly, which is true for many Leatherman tools.
On Amazon Italy (all Europe) cost 36 euro!!!, like 40 dollars!
This is perfect for the free p4
It doesn't fit in my sheath. That's a bummer.

Nice information. Thanks.🇺🇲🔪🌲🔥
Leatherman really did a swing and a miss by designing and promoting so many of their multi-tools to not be adapter friendly.
It’s not “one-forth” it’s “quarter inch”
American made for $20 expensive?? Go a day without coffee lol
