    At this point in my life this is the most sturdy multitool I know and that fits perfectly in a survival scenario, its just great, plus the pliers and the extra tools don´t rely in each other to lock or just function, so even if a part of it gets compromissed the rest are still functional, its just great

    I am a building Engineer in Houston and I carried this multi tool with me and it proved to be an amazing companion. If you do daily maintenance I strongly suggest you carry this.

    I think I "need" to get the super tool 300 because I already have a rebar and micra so the ST300 will complete the family.

    I only have a few different model leathermans but Ive found the 300 to be the ideal tool to have.. when youre in an position not having access to a full tool box at your side this baby will do it...

    If you are going to get one do-all multi-tool, then go for the Wave.
    I own Leatherman SideKick, Wave and Super Tool 300, and in my opinion the Wave is the be all end all tool.

      I have the wave, but if you get the extender bit for the ST it makes using the bits more comfortable and longer whereas with the Wave, the bits are short and gets awkward when you add the extender. That's why I'm getting the ST300. it's cheaper than the Surge and also lighter which is awesome, bigger and lighter!!

    It's hard for me to choose my favorite. I carry the squirt to work every day, Otherwise I carry the juice but I find the blast just as useful. Then there is the wave ... It's so hard to choose. Thanks for a great review.

    i have a custom leatherman tht i made where i put the plier head from the ST300 in the surge, i call it a super surge, i love it for a heavy duty outdoors multitool

    I own both tools the 300 and the Surge in black oxide. I can;t believe Leatherman did not put the 154CM cutters on the Surge. The cutters on 300 are the best in the market. I like the 300 a bit more than the Surge. Yeap, I have a silver Blast also. I think the Blast is the highest value multi tool in the market place. Thanks for the great review. I am going to get a black Blast and a silver 300. All the hype about outside tools is just a marketing hype. I don't mind inside tools

  • @ricev7071

    I am so excited because I'm going to buy it today along with the bits for my Wave. I have the extender, but it fits the Super Tool better than it does on the Wave because the Philips on the ST is shaped like a square. So by tonight I'll have the ST300 and bit kit for my Wave. I might also get a nice fixed blade if I see one I like, but we'll see because right now I just want the ST and the bit kit.

    Excellent video!Thanks for posting
    This has been my EDC for two years and I love it!
    I actually have both versions. I carry the black ones and the satin finish ones live in my Jeep.
    My original black one had the crimping head, but when one of the flat head screwdrivers chipped unexpectedly it was replaced with one with the more standard head.
    (I found that the crimpers weren't that great really, and apparently Leatherman didn't like them either!) I think the standard head is more robust anyway.

    @TheLateBoyScout please respond I have a serious problem. My trusty leatherman multitool is starting to fall apart. One of the blades broke and the whole multitool itself is becoming very hard to move and breaking apart. Do you know if Leatherman has a refund on there broken knifes like craftsman has a refund on broken tools?

    Ik ga het niet hebben over de kwaliteit of betrouwbaarheid van de Leatherman, maar een groot nadeel heeft de Leatherman wel ten opzichte van de Swisstool. Je moet telkens de Leatherman open vouwen als je een schroevendraaier nodig hebt en je trekt alles mee wat je niet nodig hebt. Dan loopt het bij de Swisstool een stuk soepeler.

    • @guusdejong2523
      @guusdejong2523 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Als he een comment plaatst onder een engelstalige video schrojf dan alsjeblieft engels, ik denk niet dat er veel Nederlanders (zoals ik) voorbij komen.

    • @a.v.k.2852
      @a.v.k.2852 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      En toch is het gelezen, ik zal mijn best doen om het in het Engels over te zetten.
      I'm not talking about the quality or reliability of the Leatherman, but a major drawback is the Leatherman or against the Swiss Tool. You should always Leatherman unfold if you need a screwdriver and pull you take everything you do not need. Then it runs at the Swisstool a lot smoother.

  • @dc76384
    @dc76384 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just my opinion. But I really feel the ST 300 is more a tool aimed at craftsmen, and maintenance type work. It looks very industrial, it's a tool designed for hard use loke that of a heavy industrial maintenance tech. The Surge could also perform the same tasks but is I feel a bit to elegant for that situation.

    What would be the best Leatherman for hunting/fishing and stuff around the house?

    • @35Kelevra
      @35Kelevra 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on what your up to... The Wave is a good general all around tool. The Surge is awesome but expensive & Large. If OHO isn't important go with the ST300 ( Big Tool ) Or the Rebar ( Smaller version of the ST300 ) Not to mention the Rebar is very economical & very well built.

  • @35Kelevra
    @35Kelevra 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The ST300 is a great tool. It buries the Victorinox Swisstool. The Surge is about the only competition it has. It's a huge piece of metal tho... More of a MT than many will need. The Surge bests it in the aspect of the OHO blades & such... But The ST300 is much more economical.

      +matt lam No, blade inside=good, if you're talking quality and lifespan. If you want a blade outside, buy a good pocketknife. It'll do the job far better than any multi-tool blade, and it's do it safer.
