someone said that this monitor uses the same samsung g5 3440x1440 panel?? Is this correct, if so does the previous MPG341CQR beat this in terms of picture quality? Cheers
@Bijan Please help me with the choice of monitor, which monitor will be the best purchase, 1080p 144-240 hz 24-24.5 IPS, required with black equalizer function, up to$400
Hardware Unboxed are probably everyone’s ‘go to’ for monitor reviews (and I’d agree) but for your channel size I really think you’ve got great production value regarding camera and lighting quality, script, and footage too. Plus one thing I do like about your monitor reviews is that you include actual gameplay on the monitor and you actually demonstrate its flaws rather than just talk about them. I think if you keep this up you’ll hit 100,000 subs in a good amount of time. There are a lack of consistent monitor reviewers out there atm who have good testing. Great job mate. Edit: also your editing. There are times in GamerNexus or Hardware unboxed videos where they’ll cut to a random shot of the monitor or tech they are reviewing that isn’t relevant to what they’re talking about, where as you make what’s on screen a part of what you are discussing. Great job
This is top notch content. I can't afford anything that you review, but I love the way the information is presented and the learning process. Please don't stop. Thank you.
Amazing review this is easily the most info packed while being entertaining/ cleanest review I've watched yet. I applaud you for your efforts. Those transitions were so nice as well.
Great reviews as always... Just hoping you have the chance to review the new gen of monitors with 2.1hdmi to see what is the best to next gen consoles 😊
I just bought this monitor a few days ago I must say it is fantastic! I love just about everything about it, except mine has terrible back light bleed. I am considering returning it, as it does notably interfere. Movies and games in darker scenes are considerably washed out in the upper right hand corner. I know all led panels have some bleed, but this being my first VA panel, is this normal? Seems to me that for $900.00 it shouldn’t be this bad? Great review by the way! New subscriber here.
If you plan to put this monitor behind a racing wheel these legs would be preferable to a square base, as it would allow you to get the monitor closer to your eyes.
Damn, this and toms hardware's review are the only reviews I can find on this monitor lol. I'm tempted to grab this monitor but I should probably wait for more reviews to come out.
This is likely suffering from some really bad black smearing which even is noticable in windows when moving windows and text. Me and a friend returned both our Ultrawide MSI VA panels that we got for black friday (CQR Optix one) - as it was horrible to play on, and even annoying to be in windows on. The image quality for stills was amazing though, and the OSD software is top notch - I really wish MSI would make a IPS alternative for these ultra wides :)
Back after nearly 2 years of use. I've truly enjoyed it but the lack of support for Japanese games(my primary choice for playing vidya) is kinda killing me. I know and do use mods but that takes me offline in games like Elden ring. Will probably end up making this my secondary monitor. Not only that, my capture card only does 4k60FPS and I did not research anything and it turns out that a 1440x3440 has more bandwidth than that. THanks again for your review.
i like your review, you talk so fast but i got most of it... thanks mate , very well appreciated it, me a low level sim fps gamer just for fun and limited space so you sold it to me , used msi before so gonna go ahead and try this,,,, since your review price dropped 300 or so thanx again loved this rewiew watched it in sol mo.... x

I am in doubt between this monitor, and the Samsung g7 32". Actually the Samsung cost around 549€ and the MSI 629€. Which one do you recommend for a "mixed" use?
The optic scope can not be assigned to right mouse click, you have to assign an additional button to use. Additional button, right click mouse and then left click to shoot. Looks great needs work and someone with a little common sense.
Great video! but actually I can't find the color profile you mentioned in 12:06 in the description. Would you please repost in description or directly send to me if possible?
I was really interested in this monitor. Though I didnt take your video review as gospel and weighted it along with others like Toms Hardware etc. I have to say this monitor is pretty overpriced for what I feel (best guess) is a Samsung G5 1000R curved panel tweaked and then framed under the MSI brand. MSI product demos dont even highlight the core image strangeths like motion, colours, or even HDR but focus more on gimmicks to use in CS GO etc like that ZOOM in scope or adjustable crosshair. Seems like quite a markup for fluff. Decent monitor, but I didnt see the value.
The manual mentions the existence of an sRGB mode. EDIT: yes, it exists. It's in the Professional section, not the Game one. EDIT2: you mentioned it. My bad. But apparently it sucks, so meh.
I have a few questions. 1. How do I unlock brightness, settings,etc?...currently it's grayed out. 2. How do I adjust the zoom in option? 3. In order for me to be able to gain access to these options do I have to use the msi app/website?
@@MrDutch1e I bought the 34GP83A-B which is basically the same thing. After finding it. Still wish it had pip/pbp function though. But it's been a great monitor.
Hey I have been looking for some info that no review/website seems to mention... Do you know the weight of the monitor without the stand, whether or not the headphone jack allows microphone input, or if there is a built-in microphone? The last one is a bit weird but all websites that sell the monitor mention a built-in monitor, just wondering if that is true. Thanks for the review btw!
@@BijanJamshidi yeah I watched that one. I do love the acer one, but it's really hard to get. Should I wait a bit when 2k240 is more popular so the price down?

Hello. I would love to ask you if you think ASUS VG279QM is still a bad choice. I saw your review on it and you didn't seem too happy about this monitor. But then, you made a newer review, but with 24.5" model, which you were super happy about. I know you mentioned different testing etc, but I saw your comment somewhere that you think the 27" had worse panel. I looked up both on RTINGS and in their reviews it seemed like they are identical or 27" had even better panel (maybe you were unlucky with the first batch?). I'm seriously thinking about buying the 27" model, because I'm used to my 27" 1080p 144hz Samsung, so I don't know if I can get used to 24" again ... I know pixel density isn't the best on 27" but I would say I got used to it and I don't find my texts etc horrible, they actually seem pretty ok... I know there are some other 240hz alternatives, but the only game I play actively is CS:GO, where I think the 40hz extra are an advantage compared to others.

This monitor is worth $500, text /black smearing, blurring, black crush, viewing angle, poor color drives me crazy on most if not all VA I tried except the 240 hz Samsung VA premium panel.

However that's much less of an issue for me personally than a streaky blurry mess. especially playing overwatch, cod, BFV, any fast paced shooter

I went from the msi mag321cqr (VA panel) to the LG 27GL850 (IPS panel) and the LG is hands down better, I put them side by side and did same "dragging a window around desktop test" .
the VA panel had atrocious ghosting (like 8ms g2g) while the IPS (around 2ms g2g) has no such issues.
plus the colors are much more vivid on the IPS , and then the pixel density looks better at 27" for 1440p , the 32" panel makes it look more stretched and fuzzy .
so I guess you could say either is better than the other with the correct comparisons lol
but yes the main downside to the LG is the not great contrast ratio. However that's much less of an issue for me personally than a streaky blurry mess. especially playing overwatch, cod, BFV, any fast paced shooter
@@deminybs I meant high end VA’s are better. The odyssey G7’s panel is better than the lg27gn950’s.
@@laughsatchungus1461 oh my bad 😂
