Sorry for the reverby sound. I got a new shotgun microphone and am still figuring out how to use it best. I purchased some sound deadening equipment that'll be coming in the next week or so which SHOULD help reduce reverb/echo DRAMATICALLY.

I use a pair of Edifier ED-S880DB High-Resolution 2.0 ch Desktop speakers and the sound is outstanding, especially when watching movies. No way would I buy a monitor with preinstalled speakers. Pass, but everything else looks pretty good.

My current 34" has the speakers on the sides of the bezel which adds to the width so I was happy to see forward facing speakers that don't affect width. I would use them if my Klipsch reference system ever fails. Anyway this monitor was shipped the other day and I will have it next week. Thanks for the review.

that LTT GPU Tee! Came here from Hardware unboxed's video about LG doing nonsense. This review is excellent, and you have presented yourself as a genuine member of the tech reviewer community. Like, Subscribed, and if you get the membership figured out, might do that as well. If you get on Floatplane, you should definitely announce it here. I honestly like your presentation more than some of the bigger guys in this market.
Edit: You should reach out to JayzTwoCents, Harris Heller(Alpha Gaming), and GN for advice about the Membership thing. They're all going to be pretty knowledgeable, and most likely to respond(Harris Heller could probably get a video's worth of content out of it, so might present it that way) Look forward to more good stuff!

As next gen console gamer, at $1000 I'm loving the 43" AORUS FV43U with HDMI 2.1 and HDR1000, but it's like a small TV so you need to have the right spacing for it.
But that said Aorus just came out with 28" too. With 32" and even new 48" OLED too

If you can review a 1080p 144hz monitor why not do the same for 4k? Just a suggestion ofc! Even if it seems like almost an order the way i put it! Still not my intentions!

iv been looking at ultra wide monitors including the OLED lines and ghosting seems to be a huge issue with all UW monitors expect OLED. the problem with OLED is potential burn in... BenQ/Zowie have done it ONCE again with my preferred company to shop with whether its monitors or mice. DyaC or Backlight strobing is a MUST for me because it seriously reduces ghosting and i dont care how glorious the new samsung G9 monitors look because again iffy ghosting. Thank you for the review

Also think I got lucky with my unit as it has low ips glow and no noticeable defects... I think Bijan too would appreciate it (and I hope so)

They give you black bars because it's an unfair advantage if you have more screen. It's the same on overwatch (they just stretch the image)

Do you think you could add power consumption to your monitor reviews? This monitor getting brighter with backlight strobing makes me wonder how much more power it must be consuming to do that. I think it would add another layer to your reviews to include this information.

    • @BijanJamshidi

Possibly, but not sure. While it can be useful, the amount of power these monitors use are so small that it equals to a few dollars a year. At least here in the U.S., I'm not sure what country you're in.

Hey man, I saw your entire video - I wanted to point out that maybe you shouldn't talk about competitive gaming with monitors that truly can't support that. This being it. No one plays competitively with a 34 inch monitor. It's just not something you can do. They are too large, too narrow and often too slow as well as they don't support competitive refresh rates.

Your standard for "good sound" is a limbo bar. Go spend a few hundred on a proper set of speakers from klipsh, jamo, fluance, or some powered bookshelf recommended by audiophile reviewers. $200-300 can get you miles better than your edifier. You have no idea how terrible your speakers are.

    • @BijanJamshidi
