21 ltz 4x4 3.0 been amazing.. I own and drive semi’s for a living. I didn’t get it for towing.. family trips and daily driving 28 to 34 MPG city is amazing. Truck currently has 41,000 miles on it. Nothing but great things to say :)
Going on 4 years with my 2020 LM2. Bought it mainly for my somewhat frequent long work commutes (200+ mile trips). My lifetime average is right at 25 MPG. My last tank got me 670 miles. It tows 5-7k lbs very well. My last tow trip was about 5klb enclosed v-nose 1500mi and averaged about 13 MPG. My only issue so far has been some soot buildup on the DEF injector which threw a NOx efficiency code. Dealer replaced it under warranty.
The LZ0 has more power everywhere . Especially in the upper rpm where the LM2 just drops off. Also the 23’+ can have Maxtow. Lower rear gear of 3.73. Cooling upgrades Also. The max tow trucks are getting better real world MPG. Really hope you get to try one.
I have a 2024 LTZ LZO CCLB Max tow. The fuel economy is great, easily getting 28-30 mpg. Best 50 mile average was 31. Holds 10th gear effortlessly going up decent inclines.
@@tyrelgranger8105Probably due to the valve cover issue that resulted in excessive oil consumption. It would foul the glow plugs and destroy the dpf. There is a tsb and redesigned valve cover for it. Sure are a ton of guys with well over 100k miles without any issue. They probably have the redesigned valve cover. It could be worse. Tundras are blowing engines left and right and some guys have had more than one engine replacement in less than 60k miles.
I have the F150 diesel and average city and highway 26mpg monthly. Yes it is not a race car and yes it is not made to tow 20k but if you’re a half ton truck buyer it is the best engine option period.
I couldnt make up my mind between the 6.2 gas and the 3.0, so I just bought them both. The 6.2 is a blast but the 3.0 is amazing, just flat amazing. No regrets on the 3.0. as long as gm makes them I will own one.
Hey Jack, just wanted to say you was missed Ive been watching your channel since you had you're first Corvette. I really appreciate the education thur the vids. Keep up the amazing job you do and you're in my prayers brother.
City 21mpg, hwy 31mpg, and interstate 23.5mpg, towing boat 15.5 mpg, i bought brandnew 2021 gmc 3.0L texas edition slt and now 51k miles on it. Issues i have had: No start issues happen once ever 3 or 4 months but starts right after, yellow indicator mirrors blind spot monitoring doesnt work, and mirriors tilt feature doesnt work while in reverse. Overall great truck, just like any truck, its not perfect.
I own a 2023 LZ0 and several new HD trucks. My LZ0 is what I grab at a moments notice. I like my wife's Yukon with the air ride even more though. Currently at about 40K miles on my LZ0.
Not one. I love both vehicles. The Yukon is the nicest driving vehicle I've ever driven. The Sierra is a close second. Everyone who rides in it is surprised how nice of truck it is, the power and the fuel efficiency.
Last August I made the switch from a “modified” 2016 Denali HD to a 2023 Sierra AT4 3.0. Do I miss the HD? YES. Do I love my new daily driver? ABSOLUTELY Perhaps one day I can own both 😂
I bought the 2023 AT4 1500 3.0. Thought I was moving down south, but unfortunately, life had other ideas. I use the truck for daily running around, stop and go. I love the truck, the ride comfort, but it has been back to the dealership going on several times for emissions problem. I purchase my diesel from the same station since new, and the gas station is also new, so I would hope the fuel is good. 10,000 miles and keep getting check engine light. I'm going to the dealership again. Not very happy. Sad, though it was going to be my last truck.
Curious as to your camera setup. If you've got a way to get optical stabilization and inbody stabilization that will work together, the shake should get better. I myself have started with Sony cameras. Highly recommend a Sony Alpha 7 mark 4 and a lense with OSS.
Wish I had the money to go buy one to pull my camper with. Love to towing capacity and fuel economy. That is an awesome thing. And with how much it’s rated to tow is all I need for my 32’ pull behind. Love this truck
It would be cool to see videos ab 7.3 and the lbz. As somebody who is looking into getting a diesel a video ab your experience with different variations of trucks you have owned. Like the pros n cons how is towing , daily driving, etc
Hey Jack, love the feedback and information, I just had a question for someone who is young and has no kids I am torn between this truck or the 2500 because I wanna be able to tow comfortably with no worries I just can’t decide between the 2
I am in a denali just like this one, but not ultimate. I think im in love. The only quirks I have may be the window button...wtf? why? why not roll up too? That could have been a physical button for the camera instead of the button being in the infotainment. Also, no adjustable pedals, another good option for a button in the group there. My 2014 slt had adjustable pedals and that's where the button was, on the left tho. Another thing I think could be better is the side mirrors. Mine are the same as these. I wish the cheap black plastic part was color matched to the truck and i wish the little round helper mirror was built in like my 2014. On stock wheels and tires, i am getting like 650 miles a tank and average closer to 30 with probably 80% long range highway drives daily with no load.
I have a 7500lb 25 foot boat and trying to decide between the HD or 1500 Diesel? My current 2013 1500 gas does ok but struggling a bit . Mainly local towing within 30miles. Any thoughts? Thanks
Pulled a 7800lb pull behind from south texas to kansas with my 23. Only thing i suggest is get one with the max towing package. Averaged 14.5 mpg, and would still run 75mph with no issues.
love the vid, but started getting a headache from the shaking. i ended up just looking at stuff on the internet on another tab and listened to this video just for the audio.
I love that GM is the only major truck manufacturer offering a diesel for their 1/2 ton truck. I personally want a 2022+ AT4 with the diesel. Don't really care if its the LM2 or LZ0.
Newer 5.0 coyote and 2.7 Ecoboost also use a belt for the oil pump. And oddly enough, Ford does not even list a replacement/inspection interval for them. At least GM recommends an inspection and/or replace @ 200k.

The big question is, did GM finally get their damn paint issue fixed. I’m on my third GM and it’s peeling like a son of a bitch and GM doesn’t think it’s a problem. By the way, that’s in three different states as well, so it’s not environmental factors. And this third one has never been in a car wash. So don’t start with that shit GM.

I had an lm2 @25k high pressure fuel pump went. Currently have 24 LZ0 with 4500 miles and have nothing but emission issues. Clogging filter
No fuel additive clogs every def system not needed
How many total miles?
I drive a '23 AT4 with the LZO and absolutely love that truck. That 3.0 is such a fun engine. Love all the torque and the great fuel mileage.
What about the maintenance? I’ve heard it costs way more for things like oil filters ect?
most dealerships offer a lifetime oil change on these for 1000 extra which in my opinion is worth the price you change oil every 7000 miles
@@jasonbrown9675my like change price at the dealer was $100

You can get the max row with 3.73 on a 2022 refresh also. I have one.
Also have an LM2. I love mine. (2022.5) 650 miles a tank so far. I'm happy with it.

Love my 3.0l. Best truck I've ever owned...
I have a 2021 chevy silverado 3.0. Love it. Only issue was a glow plug. I have 69k and had it for 3 years. As for towing, great for my 6k camper.
Our company had 5 of the gmc 3.0 duramax’s all of them traded in or sold. All of them started having issues around 70k

Always a great day when Jack uploads a video!! Appreciate the content my friend!
I have the new body style at4 version with the 3.0.. traded a 6.2 trailboss for it. No regrets
Why so? Very curious
We need more videos of that peach colored old school Chevy Truck in the back. 🔥
My drives are mostly highway 100-140miles per day. I’m getting about 600miles per tank and averaging 26mpg in a 4x4 truck.
Glad you're posting again just getting caught up 🎉
I hate it when content creators cut and clip hundreds if not thousands segments of video to make these videos , now that’s nauseating

I just got a 2024 Denali same color with the dark mocha interior and did the front 2” level kit and I 34s on a 17 x9 method wheels. 😊

Unless you're towing heavy equipment everyday, get the 3.0. My friend tows a massive RV with his 3.0 with ease
So I missed the part about the buisness owner benefits… or was it too shaky. Love the video and looks like a great truck.

What wheel and tire set up is that? I’m in need of a nice poke and tire
What size wheel you have and tire? I have an exact same truck but it’s a 2024. Thanks sik truck
Put the camera in manual focus mode helps with focus hunting
My coworker has had 2 of them. Both he had to lemon law. Probably bad luck but GM just doesn’t completely redesign an engine for no reason.
Pick up a small hand-held gimble. It'll remove virtually all of the shakes.
Can you drive a diesel short distance daily & still benefit from it?
My 17 silverado has the remote window down on the key fob pretty cool but if they only went up too 😂
