Generally, they ghost me when I send back a counter-offer, or even just explain my payment process (half up-front blah blah blah). And I am generally very easy to work with, have prior experience/refs ect, and deliver good quality finished product. There are so many shysters in the world. It's just part of trying to live in this crazy world of ours.
I know a guy who did a commercial for Samsung and only received 300 quid for it. He had to do ADR with lip flap matching since the commercial was previously released in another language, plus the commercial aired for 3 months time. After hearing your story, I’m starting to think Samsung really throws voice actors under the bus.

So this was through a middle agent so I can’t say it’s a Samsung practice but for a brand of that size you would expect a lot more
