Very brave and extraordinary! Thank you so much. I wish my partner had heard you a decade ago, when she left teaching, because of academic pressure. She was so upset with the system, that she got ill from the stress (adrenal surgery and depression) and from the overwhelming feeling (which also is a reality!) that she couldn't do her job properly in an educational system that sucks. (Romania is still on the old "tape-recorder" style, especially in the humanities). She would have done well in a system like yours, for she really is a good English teacher. I wish your example could inspire her to take up heart and partake with revolutionary people in the field, though right now she doesn't even want to hear about teaching again.
Great thoughts. Unfortunately, it may not may help a student clear IIT JEE exam or IAS. This is the problem. There are numerous so-called "competitive exams" in India which are more of filtration methods and not really knowledge testing methods and school education is expected to help students pass these exams or they will not have a future in India. This is the reason we get used to "rote learning". Changing one building block of the education system is great, but will not change the system as a whole. That takes a lot more effort.
factsheet of school is far worse than you try to show. is it even schooling or pure business? MGIS is not poor talented child school but this is school of beaurocrates children.
Heart tucing speech on the teaching learning curriculum for the teachers. Many many thanks mam. I hope that you will send good topic for us.

Good talk. Would have been even better if you had at least a slide presentation of the children to add to your talk.
Yes, I wish @Tedx Talks showed the slides that she's showing the audience
Looks like editing mistakes from the organizers.
