I loved this so much. I really liked the idea of Gabriel becoming Dracula. Its trailer still has a special place in my heart. Wish it didn't had the future stealth part specially the Golgoath guards one which really destroyed the game.
I have this game in my PS3's memory and I love it since the first time I played it. I managed to finish in all the difficulty modes and complete almost all the game has challenges. 3 to 4 years later I finally got the first version of the game. Both wonderful games that deserve to be in my collection.

People can say what they may about the newer Castlevania's... As a long time fan, these two games sat really well with me, for some reason. I found myself loving them dearly, and have replayed them both about 5 times or so, much like I did Dante's Inferno. I'm not big on the QTE either, but I found myself thinking little to nothing about it as I played the games, mostly loving the soundtrack and not to mention the amazing combat. Storyline were... Well, it was pretty cool, but had it's hit and misses for sure. Seeing this video, made me actually consider having another go at them again.
Some of the plot points were awkward especially the weird stealth mini games. But the overarching story was beautiful not to mention the OST was absolutely gorgeous. I listen to it some times and I love it.
My sister started playing this game as well as she start playing "Devil May Cry 4", both of which she got from her birthday last month this year. She doesn't mind "Castlevania", "Devil May Cry" and even "Bayonetta", but she hates "God Of War" equally as much as hating "The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess".
I think Dracula should have more health and be a bit bigger cause you don’t feel like the actual villain/boss of the game when you have even less health then even your human opponent in the game plus he doesn’t really have an appearance that screams monster or look like he could run you over like a dump truck he just seems like your normal main character where he just looks like a regular human that can apparently beat you to death with his beat fists.

I have been out of video gaming for 10 years, since FFX and PS2 era, and watching this game truly freaked me out. The storyline, graphic, and gameplay are done so well. Wish I would have time in the future to get a PS5 and play this game!

if you listen closely when dracula gets the powers of chaos you can hear Symphony of the Night's "Enchanted Banquet" This boss theme only plays for the Succubus and Medusa in SoTN Edit: Who else likes how Satan's Daughter looks. . . .if it meant seeing beauties like this i dont mind at all
I have been playing Castlevania since the very 1st one on the NES. Got a Super NES the day my friend showed me Castlevania IV. I really, really enjoyed LoS. I really appreciate the direction they took the story in LoS 2. If I had to pick one I'd say the first LoS is my favorite, but I enjoyed playing both and have beaten them on Xbox 360 and PC. Currently playing them again on the Steam Deck. I plan to play the PS3 versions in the future. I LOVED the visuals in LoS. Reminded me of the first time I played Castlevania IV.
Most thing I like: fights are really challenging Most thing I hate: every boss only repeats two sentences over and over, they get on my nerves after 2 minutes. 😕

Lords of shadow 2 was a ps3 game, at that time, games usually used to have 2 different dialogues but this game had 3-4 dialogues in boss fights. Bosses in this game cannot be silent because all bosses were iconic and linked to the story. Death, satan, medusa, dracula itself, etc. Now imagine all these bosses silent.

Well, if you watched the video you'd know that dracula basically nerfed himself to lure out his enemies/achieve his goals. Gets put to sleep, wakes up without memory with fragmented powers. I mean, in the end he kills satan himself, so that tops wiping a city imho :)
When the guy in angel armor praying in Latin to banish Gabriel then Gabriel grabbing the cross and speaking the cleansing for Latin way better then him I’m sure he shit himself
So game developers, please understand i hold great enjoyment in this game... that said if you make a fourth lord of shadows, please include an option to turn off the audio cue for the unblock-able attacks... That sound is really irritating and to have it popping off every 3 seconds in some fight... I'm not ok with that.

I was never really a fan of 2d Castlevania games, but LoS games are amazing, this gameplay style suits the series and the presentation is epic... together with God of War and Bayonetta these are my favorite action-adventure, hack and slash games of last gen.
Of course it ruins the essence of the game, because it's not the same gameplay, but so many games changed the essence of the genre: Mario games, GTA games, Fallout games etc. I don't think 3D Mario games are worse than 2D Mario games, but in case of Castlevania, the 3D games are more interesting to me. Mirror of Fate HD looks good too, but I still prefer the 3D ones

The thing about this game is it started out fantastic but ended miserably. Setting it in modern times was lame and not to mention what on earth they were thinking with that ending.
They had to go with that ending due to the developer's stupidity. Half the people left from the company who made the first gaem becasue he was on an ego trip.
