I'd say the plot was up and down at times. Overall I liked it. The game was really good at the beginning, it was mysterious. Never played the old games so that helped.
I wish they expanded it more and the only bad thing were the "city sections" in modern times. The story was great. If you can perceive it, it's a totally amazing story that doesn't seem childish like most videogames. Dracula literally was "god's chosen one", and then felt betrayed, scorned by god, and in the end, he ended up defeating Satan. The "Good guys" repetitively brainwashed his own children and lineage, and sent armies to attack him, suppressing any knowledge of who Dracula truly was. It's a beautiful story imo of how even though Dracula caused many centuries of torment, and fell from God's grace, he eventually tricked Satan and ultimately defeated him, protecting the Earth even as one who was perceived as evil or mad by the supposed "good guys". His own children generally do not even know it's him, and you sometimes just want him to say something as if you're watching some play where the audience knows something and the characters do not.
I didnt buy LoS2, but wow this is an awesome scene. Gabriel and Victor. Too bad Victor doesnt know who Dracula really is. The whole series is like a shakespearean tragedy.

I really liked the storyline. The fact that Gabriel (Dracula's) own children don't know they're generally sent out to fight against their own father, who was the chosen one, and the fact that regardless of anything, he did end up defeating Satan, and furfilling God's will, shows a sort of beautiful storyline when it comes to pre-determinism and the fact that even Gabriel's betrayal and becoming "the largest evil" on Earth was possibly just part of a larger plan. The game itself had some boring parts, like the stealth sections (I guess didn't make sense) and the 'modern city' areas were kind of boring in my opinion. It's a shame they did not expand this series further because the gameplay is a lot more indepth compared to other slasher titles, and the story was very moving when you know what it's about. Seeing many times Gabriel's own children brainwashed to fight against him in the name of "light" shows the corruption that can occur from either side. They generally did not know Dracula was a Belmont, and perhaps the original and strongest of them all, yet when they find out, it does feel a bit like a tragedy; it's like you want them to know what Dracula is not bothering to tell them.
I think Trevor and Marie are the only Belmont's that know Dracula was and still is Gabriel, husband and father. To all the others (Simon, Sypha and Victor for a bit), just see him as the Unholy Vampire King that must be put down for the good of man and god. Simon might have remembered (he was a kid when Trevor got the news), but didn't care as avenging his parents was his primary motive.
The only person who could kill dracula was Gabriel but since obviously Gabriel and dracula are the same person doubt it would happen unless dracula went along with it

It was already super disappointing that Victor was squandered so soon after his great introduction through this boss fight- I would have been downright furious if this had happened to a version of Julius Belmont, of all characters. I imagine it wasn't always the plan to introduce a modern-day Belmont, give him an awesome fight, and then just have him die while opening a door shortly afterward, especially since he was originally going to be Julius. They had to have meant to give this character some significance... it's a shame things didn't pan out.

I find it funny that dracula doesn't even realize who he is fighting lol like anyone but a Belmont can fight dracula one on one and almost survive there strength came from his human side
Uuuuh. Hate to break it to you friendo but Dracula in this game's timeline IS a Belmont. He's well aware of who he's fighting, he just doesn't want Victor to know because it would be inconvenient for the plotline :P
Aren't they related since they have the same last name and everything
Yes they are.
i want save file plz on this mission
Why they are no ps4 of this???
Well that game was meant to be a counter to god of war :D
Imagine instead of Victor, it's Julius belmont
He was meant to be Julius but it was changed
the one single part i didn't like about this game was that Victor died.
Its this a dlc or a secret boss fight?
Part of the story.
Is Dracula a belmont? The story line is so fucked that I just dont understand anything
In case you never got an answer to this question, yes. In this game's storyline Dracula is Gabriel Belmont. Something about him dying and becoming a dark creature himself in order to save the world from a greater evil, and eventually coming back as Dracula.
Play the first game with it's dlcs.
Joel...? Is that you?
thank you for covering the censored part, surly there is some good left in this world.
Thank you, got a lot of hate for the censoring sadly
Ya, gotta worry about not offending the soy boys.
If the game would have taken place in his castle it would have been way better
Nah they kinda had to have it 50:50 modern times/castle considering what the first game teased.
I have zero memory of this fight
Hahaha I do. Just remember the summon with boobs from the first game.
Why Gabiral and Alucard let die their decent victor Belmont😢
he could just told about the company and Dracula would realize the influence of it
My new favorite belmont
I will not fail in my mission!
He's a man not a god!
Come on, Comrades!

wow. that's the worst design for a Belmont I've seen in any Castlevania, ever. And I've been playing them since the beginning up until Lords of Shadow came around. And then he just has the power to become a giant? That's stretching it too far even by Belmont standards.
he guards with the wrong hand
Who is excited for the new netflix Castlevania show ?

As much as I would love the show, I wouldn't buy it on Netflix.
