agreed my motherboard was burnt just in 4 months. I wasn't even playing any games on it just autocad and blender. It was hp and they made it so hard for replacement, i wanted replacement and they just replaced the motherboard. It's still overheating, i again complained and said use laptop for lighter tasks. I was so pissed off. Be aware.

Depends on your use case. If you're a light user, buy a slim laptop with good screen, keypad and battery with a processor that stresses on battery life. If you're a heavy user go with ryzen 4xxxH or intel 10700H or something with dedicated graphics and a good screen is a must if you're editing videos/photos. If you're coding, color accuracy is not needed. If you're gaming, again, color accuracy is not needed but you'll need high refresh rate, 120/144 Hz.

The first thin to consider is what you need to do with the laptop. Everything depends on it. I prefer TN panels with bad viewing angles because I don't want people around me taking a peek at the financially sensitive data I am working with. A high colour accuracy display is nowhere on my priority. A laptop is a work tool and not a consumer device. If you don't know what exactly you want from a laptop then you don't really need it.

While good review done by this channel!! Laptop companies are making a fool of Indian audience. 1. They have learnt to solder RAM😂 so you can't upgrade 2. For every additional feature there's a separate upgraded version available 3. Battery life written is 15 hrs but actual is half of these for majority manufacturers🙄 4. Selling outdated graphic cards like MX 250 Mx330 and calling it a gaming machine 😂 5. Touch screen laptops are a scam. No one uses a 1.2KG. laptop as a tab. It's another fooling gimmick 6. 512 GB or lesser 256 GB SSD is offered so you can't store a lot and the processor doesn't slows down. Another smart trick. 7. Audio and WebCam are two critical features which they are least bothered about. Because that costs them and will hamper margins 8.Lastly 2K and 4K screens 😂 why do you need it. You don't. But they will make you feel that you do need. When less then 10% content online is 4K what will do with that laptop. Another trick to make you shell out another 10-15K. Lastly people don't understand about Cores and threads which is the most crucial part of computing. That's why AMD was never popular despite their Ryzen series can kick intel any day. Now when people have started appreciating AMD all of sudden these greedy companies are not using it instead using INTEL which is almost 1.5x times expensive. What a SCAM... Guys stick to your budget and buy only what you need 👍👍👍 Else sky is the limit..

I hope you read this Ranjit sir, i am currently going into engineering college (iit guwahati) and wanted to buy a laptop for simulating stuff in AUTOCAD and coding. I gathered all the data i require to search for the best laptop i could find in my budget (50-60k) but there are just too many laptop listings out there and hence selection becomes very difficult. I would suggest you to make a video in which you go by price range and give examples of how you expect a laptop to be in that price ranges so that we can get a clearer idea.

Most of the tips you gave can be applied only if we have bought the laptop first - like hinge quality, screen colour shifting, fans coming up early etc. Because proper reviews are not available for each and every laptop. Reviewers mostly review those that are already being promoted by the companies. For the processor thing, Ryzen processors starting from 3rd generation can be considered because they have good thermal performance. For Intel, any processor above the 7th generation is good because the integrated graphics have been significantly improved after that generation. And core count was also increased. But it is sad and enfuriating to see that online stores like Amazon are selling way too outdated laptops. 🙁🙁🙁
An SSD upgrade to an older laptop and a Clean install of Windows 10 is equivalent buying a new laptop. (500 GB cost around 4000-5000 bucks.) And may be after 2 years you can buy a new laptop.

Asus s14 has low audio quality, and not that good performance instead, you can go for asus vivobook flip 14 TM420UA-EC501TS( Ryzen 5 or 7 it's your choice). it is the best.

Laptop companies are making a fool of Indian audience.
1. They have learnt to solder RAM😂 so you can't upgrade
2. For every additional feature there's a separate upgraded version available
3. Battery life written is 15 hrs but actual is half of these for majority manufacturers🙄
4. Selling outdated graphic cards like MX 250 Mx330 and calling it a gaming machine 😂
5. Touch screen laptops are a scam. No one uses a 1.2KG. laptop as a tab. It's another fooling gimmick
6. 512 GB or lesser 256 GB SSD is offered so you can't store a lot and the processor doesn't slows down. Another smart trick.
7. Audio and WebCam are two critical features which they are least bothered about. Because that costs them and will hamper margins
8.Lastly 2K and 4K screens 😂 why do you need it. You don't. But they will make you feel that you do need. When less then 10% content online is 4K what will do with that laptop. Another trick to make you shell out another 10-15K.
Lastly people don't understand about Cores and threads which is the most crucial part of computing.
That's why AMD was never popular despite their Ryzen series can kick intel any day.
Now when people have started appreciating AMD all of sudden these greedy companies are not using it instead using INTEL which is almost 1.5x times expensive.
What a SCAM...
Guys stick to your budget and buy only what you need 👍👍👍 Else sky is the limit..

i am currently going into engineering college (iit guwahati) and wanted to buy a laptop for simulating stuff in AUTOCAD and coding. I gathered all the data i require to search for the best laptop i could find in my budget (50-60k) but there are just too many laptop listings out there and hence selection becomes very difficult. I would suggest you to make a video in which you go by price range and give examples of how you expect a laptop to be in that price ranges so that we can get a clearer idea.

I am mechanical engineering student... Just Bought Lenovo Legion 5i... Doesn't look like a "Gaming Laptop"... Using Creo, ansys... Works like charm...
My budget too was around 60k
But added 7k to it... So that I dont get any issues
We have cheaper alternatives
But I only trust Hp, dell, lenovo brands 😁

Sir, for programming, keeping the specs(especially the processor and ports) and price difference into consideration, should I go for "Macbook Air 2020" or "Macbook Air 2017" available on flipkart and amazon? or there's some probability for apple to launch some laptop in the same price range in the upcoming event?
Most of the tips you gave can be applied only if we have bought the laptop first - like hinge quality, screen colour shifting, fans coming up early etc. Because proper reviews are not available for each and every laptop.
Reviewers mostly review those that are already being promoted by the companies.
For the processor thing, Ryzen processors starting from 3rd generation can be considered because they have good thermal performance.
For Intel, any processor above the 7th generation is good because the integrated graphics have been significantly improved after that generation. And core count was also increased.
But it is sad and enfuriating to see that online stores like Amazon are selling way too outdated laptops. 🙁🙁🙁

An SSD upgrade to an older laptop and a Clean install of Windows 10 is equivalent buying a new laptop. (500 GB cost around 4000-5000 bucks.) And may be after 2 years you can buy a new laptop.

Consider Lenovo Ideapads in that range. They are insanely durable, irrespective of range. Because their build is similar from 25k to 55k.

I'm having difficulty in choosing between the two laptops because the other one has a more updated processor although has lesser RAM (not upgradable). On the other hand, the Acer is only run by a 10th Gen processor, but it has way higher RAM than Asus. Which one do you think is better to purchase in terms of overall performance (productivity and average gaming) and battery life? Thank you!
Asus s14 has low audio quality, and not that good performance instead, you can go for asus vivobook flip 14 TM420UA-EC501TS( Ryzen 5 or 7 it's your choice). it is the best.

Almost all laptops under 40k comes with the same tn panel with 45% srgb coverage (220 nits) 😭😭 and haven't noticed a single model with ips panel under 40k
