    Good stuff. I had a 3dprinted fan module for each of my 4 KS0 PROs using 3000 RPM fans. With the 340GH overclocks I'm sticking under 30C at night and 50C at day. I live in Idaho, so its 15 degrees outside. lol I do NOT miss the Sacramento heat nor do I miss California electric rates!

      Thanks, haha it’s cold now here as well we have 35-40F nights and 50F days summer will kill 340G for me but with auto tune right now I have 40-42C temp1. I would worry about too big of the difference but 30-50C is fine more than 35C difference a day I think would create a lot of movement on the paste I think that would shorten the life of the thermal paste/pads.

    My only problem I have is you need to make it out of metal. ChumpChange had a KSO pro catch fire. If you have a fire well you have giving the fire plenty of fuel to not only burn up your setup, But also your house.

      yeah i saw that, thats why I solder directly to board all the power connectors, can modify octominer case i guess for this purpose

  • @mikeallensonntag

    Only thing I would change is integrate the psu's inside same with the ethernet switch. Then adding vertical separation on fan side between the miners that should increase airflow through the miners.

    • @DontMindMeMining
      @DontMindMeMining  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I tried and did testing on one of my video by separating each KS0 with vertical boars and didn't have any good results it may help slightly in hot inviroment but defusers I use between the fans help a lot. i keep psu and network switch outside for ease of service but defenetely can be eclosed for better look

    In the place where the memory comes into contact with the radiator, the paint must be cleaned.

      Do you mean the paint on the black heatsink? It’s a powered coating so it has pretty good thermal transfer rate I think.

      Hi, I’m using 2 HP server PSU from my GPU mining rigs one is 1200w and one 750W. You can just calculate your load and use 80% rule for any pc psu or server psu should work with no problem. I’m trying to stay at 70% for psu load to keep them cooler

    Thank you for sharing. I have an IBM server PSU. I want to use it with KS0-Pro.
    But I don't know how to convert 6 pin connector to 2 pin without any adapter. I want to do that only using 1-1 connectors.
    Do you have any schema ? Can you share it ?

    If you were smart, you’d cut your losses and sell those KSO PROs. Re-coup what you can and buy the coin. You will never mine the amount of coin you could have bought in place of those. Otherwise great idea, it’s just too bad those machines will be paper weights soon

      @@mikeallensonntag your missing the point. I’m not saying it’s not possible to get an ROI in terms of getting back what you paid. I’m saying that your missing out on the gains of the coin appreciation since your buying the Asic instead of the coin. The likely hood of mining the amount of coin you could have just bought instead of the miner is slim to none. It’s smarter to just buy the coin in this case, unless your able to buy these for $200 or less it’s just not worth it. If he was smart, he’d sell these while they still hold some value.
