LOL, I can guarantee you that is not true. I know of at least 10 young singers on TH-cam that say their fans are the greatest female vocalist ever. I will say AJ is 16 yrs old here and her husky lower register and her stylings are unique to her. David Foster who wrote, arranged, and produced this song for Whitney has been a fan of AJ for about 8 years and even had her sing at one of his annual benefit concerts.The list of her famous fans is truly amazing. Whitney'was a soprano and AJ is not so even that makes how they sing this different.
David Foster did the same thing for Jackie Evancho 12 years ago when she was 11. The Dream of Me concert by Jackie is probably the best young singer concert ever. Jackie also had a list of her favorite fans including Oprey Winfrey, Jay Leno, Ellen Degeneres, etc. etc. and appeared on almost every talk show and a lot of music stations back then.

You said you were going to compare Whitney's original to this one "for [your] own sanity". It has been my experience that if you want to keep your sanity, then you _don't_ compare her to the originals (because of how well she fares in those comparisons). When I did that for this particular song (but not this version by AJ - I did it with her first attempt to cover the song, sung over a karaoke track in the original key and posted to her CoverChannel three years earlier) I found Angelina's version to be so good by comparsion, I kinda had a minor mental breakdown. (I don't think I ended up crying, but I definitely remember cursing several times and holding my head in my hands.) To be more specific, I could not believe how "robotic" Whitney sounded in the first part of the song compared to Angelina, and how she [Whitney] seemed so hesitant on some of the high notes. (Granted, the first high note here in this music video version by AJ also sounds oddly hesitant.) But the _coup de grace_ was when I heard the crack in Whitney's voice on the highest note of the song (when she sings "stay in *my* arms" after that modulation up to the higher key). I thought I was thoroughly familiar with the original, as I was in my 20s when it came out. I had not remembered/noticed any of these things about it before. For the record, I actually prefer the live version Angelina did on _Allsang på Grensen_ (also posted to her Official channel) over this music video version. But I have to say, solely in terms of vocal arrangement (i.e., her "choices"), I still prefer her "tribute" version over the later ones, since (IMO) it departs even more from Whitney's original vocal (not radically so, but enough to be notable). The only downside (for me) of that "tribute" version is that it seems to have been assembled from multiple audio takes (just like Whitney's original would have been), so that gives the edge, in my mind, to her live ApG version. (She has sung it live a few other times since then, but none of those have been any better, IMO. Note also that she sang it _twice in a row_ on ApG, and it is the second take that was broadcast. But when you compare the first and second takes [there is a cell phone video out there, shot from the audience], there is _very_ little difference between the two. Notwithstanding whatever problem forced the second take to be undertaken [people say it was the wind, but I don't know for sure], they could have easily gone with the first take and it would have been just as impressive.)

Great reaction, but for me she did a concert earlier that year in Norway where she sang the song outdoors and had to sing it twice because of technical difficulties with the first one and I have seen both versions and they, to me, are even more incredible than this studio verison. Back when Whitney did this, I didn't particularly like the song. To be fair, I was a metalhead. It wasn't until 12/13 yo AJ did this that I started to like the song. Even then, it had to grow on me a bit.

You are right in that a vast majority of your viewers are already fans. The reality is that most fans do not know how to fully support your featured artists or even support you! Actually, they do so the same way they should support your channel. In addition to subscribing as you suggested, it is important that they go to the artist channel and watch the original videos to enhance the algorithm. Also, in Angelina's case, it helps her greatly to purchase and stream her music and to subscribe to her social media such as tiktok, Instagram, and Facebook. These ideas apply to all featured artists with modifications as needed. That makes great use of your platform And also should boost your own subscriptions out of fan loyalty to your channel. David Foster who wrote, arranged, and produced this song for Whitney has been a fan of AJ for about 8 years and even had her sing at one of his annual benefit concerts.The list of her famous fans is truly amazing. Whitney'was a soprano and AJ is not so even that makes how they sing this different.
David Foster did the same thing for Jackie Evancho 12 years ago when she was 11. The Dream of Me concert by Jackie is probably the best young singer concert ever. Jackie also had a list of her favorite fans including Oprey Winfrey, Jay Leno, Ellen Degeneres, etc. etc. and appeared on almost every talk show and a lot of music stations back then.

I'm 74 and you haven't listened to too many singers than if you say that. I know a lot of them. And her low register cover of How Great Thou Art is the worst cover I have heard of that song. Also truth be, Whitney isn't really that amazing. Their are tons of black female artists of old and around now that could cover Whitney's songs and be just as good or better.

You said you were going to compare Whitney's original to this one "for [your] own sanity". It has been my experience that if you want to keep your sanity, then you _don't_ compare her to the originals (because of how well she fares in those comparisons). When I did that for this particular song (but not this version by AJ - I did it with her first attempt to cover the song, sung over a karaoke track in the original key and posted to her CoverChannel three years earlier) I found Angelina's version to be so good by comparsion, I kinda had a minor mental breakdown. (I don't think I ended up crying, but I definitely remember cursing several times and holding my head in my hands.)
To be more specific, I could not believe how "robotic" Whitney sounded in the first part of the song compared to Angelina, and how she [Whitney] seemed so hesitant on some of the high notes. (Granted, the first high note here in this music video version by AJ also sounds oddly hesitant.) But the _coup de grace_ was when I heard the crack in Whitney's voice on the highest note of the song (when she sings "stay in *my* arms" after that modulation up to the higher key). I thought I was thoroughly familiar with the original, as I was in my 20s when it came out. I had not remembered/noticed any of these things about it before.
For the record, I actually prefer the live version Angelina did on _Allsang på Grensen_ (also posted to her Official channel) over this music video version. But I have to say, solely in terms of vocal arrangement (i.e., her "choices"), I still prefer her "tribute" version over the later ones, since (IMO) it departs even more from Whitney's original vocal (not radically so, but enough to be notable). The only downside (for me) of that "tribute" version is that it seems to have been assembled from multiple audio takes (just like Whitney's original would have been), so that gives the edge, in my mind, to her live ApG version. (She has sung it live a few other times since then, but none of those have been any better, IMO. Note also that she sang it _twice in a row_ on ApG, and it is the second take that was broadcast. But when you compare the first and second takes [there is a cell phone video out there, shot from the audience], there is _very_ little difference between the two. Notwithstanding whatever problem forced the second take to be undertaken [people say it was the wind, but I don't know for sure], they could have easily gone with the first take and it would have been just as impressive.)

Great reaction, but for me she did a concert earlier that year in Norway where she sang the song outdoors and had to sing it twice because of technical difficulties with the first one and I have seen both versions and they, to me, are even more incredible than this studio verison. Back when Whitney did this, I didn't particularly like the song. To be fair, I was a metalhead. It wasn't until 12/13 yo AJ did this that I started to like the song. Even then, it had to grow on me a bit.
