- Self-Realization Fellowship monk Brother Bhaktananda shares wisdom from Paramahansa Yogananda on how we can learn to experience the constant presence of God - by meditation and by cultivating the habit of remembering Him with love all day long.
Drawing from his many years of training as a direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda, whom he lovingly refers to as “Master,” Brother Bhaktananda shares his personal experiences of learning to live with heart and mind uplifted in the Divine.
Brother Bhaktananda (1914 - 2005), who entered the SRF ashram in 1939, served as the senior minister at the SRF temple in Hollywood, California, from 1971 until his passing in 2005.
In this talk, recorded at the 1993 SRF World Convocation in Los Angeles, Brother Bhaktananda explains how each of us can experience the presence of the Divine through personal devotion and the practice of the science of Kriya Yoga meditation.

This is a transformative talk on a very important subject. I've read or heard similar things on this subject but this one is very clear and detailed explanation on how to practice Presence of God throughout the day. Thank you for posting this video.

Watched this a couple of times already. Not a dull moment in the whole 1 hour of it. So packed with humorous stories and fascinating insights into the Master's ways of relating with his devotees. Bro. Bhaktananda exudes wisdom, calm bliss and good effortless humour. I laughed especially when he told us about Master throwing balls of socks at him, and that story towards the end about him feeling so much bliss that he couldn't help but jump into his chair and jump over the fence -- I swear I can almost picture the hilarious stories as they happened in my mind. Tells us something about Master's wonderful personality.

I valued the time spent with Bro. Bhaktinanda so much and these videos help so much in recapturing his words to us. The part that hit me today so much was, "God has His laws" meaning whether we like it or not we have to learn how to pray and use our minds the way God wants us to. Most of us have begged, I certainly have when I wanted something badly but God has been trying to wake me up on how to do it according to how He wants, to lovingly demand and that we, as His children, have a right to do this. God bless, thank you SRF for these videos, especially of the disciples that were with Master, Mukti Ma, Anandamoy, Bhaktinanda, Daya Ma and Mrinalini Mata.
