Hi there! I have the G6 and I absolutely love this camera!! It's a great all around camera, which you can also change lenses to do some fun type stuff!! Highly recommend!! I won't sell this one, it's a keeper!! A lot smaller than the bigger DSLRs: Super compact, but super badass!!
Excellent advice. Subbed :) I have the same kit and even though I often get tempted by GAS, so far I really haven't justified an upgrade to the G6. The G9 is awesome but sadly too big and heavy. Btw, you CAN do time lapse video in camera on the G6 - it's in the Playback menu settings ;)
Thank you very much 🙂 Yeah the G9 is really tempting but as you said it is really big for an MFT camera and still quite expensive. I have to try that with the playback, thanks for the tip 🙂 Cheers 🙂
Ideally you use shutter priority and set the shutter speed to double the frame rate. So 1/50 for 25p and 1/100 for 50p. You'll probably need and ND filter for that if you shoot outside though if you want to keep the aperture low. For slow motion set the frame rate to 50p and in editing set the video rate to 25p. That slows the clip down to 1/2 speed. How you do this exactly depends mostly on your editing software. The important part is to have the clip recorded in the higher frame rate.
Hmm I don't have a monitor to test it myself but from what I could find on the internet the hdmi port seems to be playback only 😕 an alternative could be to use a smartphone or tablet and the app, though that would not be nearly as stable.
I found out another app that turns ur phone into a monitor that works for panasonic and Sony cameras. It has all the things a pro monitor has even anamorphic destreching. It's on the dlsr guide channel. Check it out. I haven't tried it yet but seem like a prefect solution.

What video settings do you recommend using when shooting with the G6?
How do you shoot slow-motion?

Can the g6 do video output by hdmi while recording? So I can use a monitor?

@@ggggabs96 yeah that sounds like a good solution.
How to change the language
Can you get Clean HDMI out from this camera? I just want to use it for streaming. I do not want to record what I stream on the camera itself.
I have no idea sorry 😕
